Another excellent video. I always save your video to watch later when I have a busy week. I'm always looking at 'how to' videos on RU-vid and sometimes to see different ways of doing things. Every day is a school day, that's for sure.

I've recently found myself thinking I'm too old for things, quite a switch from having to be reminded that maybe I should be more careful about doing certain things cos the consequences are higher after a certain age. There are growth spurts in life but I also think there are age spurts. Going along just fine then in a matter of a short time some part of aging just catches up with you quickly. But yes you always have to find the path that works for you and that path may always be in flux. Used to live with a guy whose knee jerk reaction , if you did something that he'd not thought of before, was "that won't work". Shortly after we met I realized instead of explaining all MY reasons why it would(my default ), I would just ask him "why not?". And his realization that often he had no reason other than it was 'different' helped him to be more open to tossing ideas back and forth. Some of my solutions were so simple but effective I think it sorta messed with his reality because his brain was complex. Had he stayed so rigid we'd not have continued to date. He didn't treat me as unintelligent but was more a product of black and white thinking. We approached things very differently and was really a growing experience for both of us. Why do people say "More than one way to skin a cat" 😬😂 That's a horrible phrase.

It sounds like you were a great influence on each other. ^_^ I love the Socratic method of asking people (especially kids) questions rather than giving them answers. That allows them to think for themselves and develop their cognitive abilities. It’s never too late for that. ^_^ And I agree that “skinning a cat” phrase is quite disturbing. As a greek person who learnt English as a second language as a teen, I found it really strange.
