I want a mod that does not require me to download 30-40 other mods just so i can play it. Remember Warband? Download file - unrar - put in modules folder - play... Is it that hard to make something like that for Banerlord?!? Apparently it is. Waiting for Kingdoms of Arda, hopefully they get it right...
i spend an entire nigth downloading and installing the correct versions and and trying to get the correct load order only to have it crash trying to load the game, wish they would just add the mod into the steam workshop
I love this game, I am however getting tired of restarting it constantly because of all the patches and incompatibility issues with mods when that happens. I just don’t feel like dealing with it anymore.
It's not a particularily bad time to start a long play, last patches were super small (and took a loooong while to come) so I don't think we'll be getting one any time soon.
@@NaCk210 In 1.2.7 all of my old mods still worked perfectly, but my game won't even launch in 1.2.8 with the basic mods like the mod menu and butterlib. I've actually lost a 10 hour playthrough recently because I accidentally pressed "continue" in the launcher on 1.2.8 and I couldn't open it anymore in 1.2.7
a wabbajack download link would make this smoother and easier, as for all these mods spread around and needing them, a pain in the a$$ lol, should also put a load order screenshot in that install guide.
Can we make diplomacy fun though? Like requesting joint campaigns against one enemy if you can make Allie’s who offer you discounted goods, armor and men .
If I could just play co-op with friends on Siege or One-off Battles, I'd be mostly happy and reinstall. Until then, honestly, Warband (and all it's mods) is not uninstalled, unlike Bannerlord.
have you got a guide on how to install this there is a lot of stuff to download and im not sure weather i put them all in the same spot or different ones
Dont know why every one seems to forget about console edition, it's bland vanilla and i dont see any reason to install It back. But i sure would love change about it
Ideally battle together, just have 2 heros that can either battle in 1 army or 2 once u get going. If in separate armies just make the game pause until both players give a move order, or if 1 goes to a battle give a spectate options for the one not engaging
@@brad5426 That's why I stated I'd be fine with a campaign coop mode that only included the battles. I realize the world map game play isn't suited well for multi-player, but surely having 2-4 total players in the same battle isn't impossible.
@@ImKillingTime Upon reflection maybe it could work. Imagine the only way it would be possible was if players travel as one party, but one person is assigned control of where the party travels. The rest of the players can be assigned captains of the party formations. I agree co-op mode in some kind of capacity would be a cool feature.
It looks really cool. My concern is is the balancing issue, how long do these new tiny factions survive into a campaign? Is there really a chance for them to expand and become a proper kingdom without you having to play as them?
If you played banner kings before you know that the factions are much more passive. For example in one of my campaigns with vlandia as a lord, it took the faction 3 in game years to take 2 castles and almost a city
@@goreaalex3413 Must have changed something, because for a long time Vlandia and the Khuzaits would steamroll everyone within the first 2-3 years in game.
@@evalationx2649 mybe in vanila. But in Banner kings every war is sooooo slow and the court system only allows the marshal of the faction to create armies. So if you aren't the marshal you can't do that. The AI just patrols inside the faction teritory not doing anything, while the garrisons grow larger and larger that by the time you become a lord you won't have a chance of taking any settlements by yourself
I haven’t been able to run this mod by itself, let alone with other mods, even following the directions to the letter. There’s a nav mesh crash and something regarding calling parties. This is me checking versions side-by-side on my computer and making sure I installed all dependencies and such as directed. The mod itself is beautiful, but it’s unplayable for me.
@@sektetor213 If yall still struggle with this issue, when you install the first patch, it downloads the other two by itself, I was trying to find it for a day xd, hope it helps
are you doing everything install guide says in the description? all dependencies and their exact versions. there are a lot of mods but most of them needs their older versions.
For anyone looking for the Ancient Civilizations v1.5.2 the Mod Author accidently deleted it or overwrote it so it is no longer on Nexus at this time! The new version is not compatible with BK-Cultures Expanded. Hopefully someone will send them the old version or they will be able to recover it somehow.
Looks amazing, however I will point out I'm an old git and a Modding Noob. So hopefully i wont get to much flack. However I can’t find: 1. The Link you provided for RBM V 3.7.2 Many many versions but no V3.7.2, only a V 3.7.3. Is it that one? 2. The Link you provided for Open Source Armory does not have the below patches, cant find them (Has the Armory one there, but not other 2) Open Source Saddlery RMB Patch Open Source Weaponry RMB Patch 3. You had ExpandedArmouryBL Ve1.5.2 on your list Nexus have Bannerlord Expanded Armoury RMB but V1.3, not version you stated. Also have Ex Bannerlord Italian Belarusian, but I’m guessing it’s not them Any help appreciated
I never uninstalled bannerlord, just can never make nexus mods work for it so it would be nice if the mods were not just on nexus or just on steam workshop.
while cool i really hate when mods that don't properly interact with rbm are just toss in with it. I love the addtional equipment but the stats just never reflect properly, unless i do somthing wrong. (not talking about osa)
Would love to get to actually enjoy the mod if it didn't crash and give me the same error when moving on the map and yes I have everything installed correctly well I think bannerlord is done for
Unpopular opinion but Banner Kings kinda sucks. It isn‘t more of a Crusader Kings style mod than a Mount and Blade mod. It really adds nothing of value to Mount and Blade‘s kind of gameplay. 90% of the mod adds meaningless micromanagement. The other 10% that expands the map/factions and adde clan creation from vassals is great but the other 90% is much more negative than positive. I‘d much rather see a mod overhaul tournaments, expand sieges, or add naval combat… things that add actual gameplay.
@@antonigrifo1589 suprisingly it works flawlessly. The installation guide in the description is easy to follow and the load order is actually correct. Highly recommend the mod
Sorry, Jackie. As cool as this looks, that condescending AF installation guide turned me away. For one thing, several of the so-called "compatibility" patches for RBM are not even available anymore. I would appreciate a video or guide from someone who actually cares to help.
Thank you!!! This is awesome! Can't wait!!! So basically, you can uninstall all your mods and install BannerKings, BannerKings Extended, and Realistic Battle Mod and be good to go? 😂
looks cool but not really worth the time and effort to go through an install guide searching for certain version for each dependency just for unseen issues to arise and one update make it all not worth it again
Taleworlds really did drop the ball on Bannerlord no personality at all and pretty much all the cool unique features from Warband that should be in Vanilla Bannerlord are just gone years later still little to no personality.
Does anyone know if the AI is capable of using all of these features correctly? Never been more tempted to reinstall this game again. Just imagine this mod with the chatGPT mod that bloc made!
Yes, the AI uses them. Ironically it becomes very difficult to hire a companion of a different culture than you, because the AI clans will hire them first. The AI clans also focus on increasing their income too, so they'll buy workshops and run their own caravans which can be good or bad for you depending on what you want. The AI also pursues legal titles for their fiefs unless they are trying to manage relationships with the current legal owner. They'll also fill in their court and in general use all of their features. The only downside is that wars are so much slower in this mod than in vanilla. You may be tempted to start as an indebted lord so you can be part of a kingdom right away. Don't. The initial war will end in half a year and there won't be another one for 3 years. You want to be a mercenary that just joins whichever faction is at war until a couple years pass and you can support a large enough party to take a fief or join a kingdom and manage a fief. The only thing I don't know is if the AI uses the cultural fascination and research properly. Last time I played it was on an older version of this mod and that feature wasn't fully working on that version.
The biggest problem of this mode is that the AI army you start the war with cannot gather. So, each lord moves around according to his own mind in my game
I wanna play so bad, but I’m useless when it comes to modding and all that, anyone know a video on how to actually do all this from scratch? Like a dummy’s guide
I know strat gaming has a great guide, I'm the same as you but his guide got be started about bit back, not sure if anything's changed since then though I'd guess not
The problem with the court sistem in banner kings is that only the marshal can make armies. So it's really annoying when you have enough ingluence for 2-3 lords to take a castle but you can't bc the marshal just made an army and just marches through own lands not doing anything
Yep, that is exactly why I uninstalled it. Couldn't start an army and when the AI did, they just marched in circles patrolling not even close to the front lines.
Modlist is trash literally have the video pulled up with the part with mod list looking at it side by side with everything looking identical and still crashes. Seems like everyone else has the same problem judging by some comments ive seen. Not once did I see one comment saying it works. unless under replies.
Guys please. I’m missing out so much! This looks awesome I know you can’t usually have mods on Xbox but is their ANY way I could install this on Xbox bannerlord? This is actually sick. Please respond if you know any loop holes
the expandedArmoryBl mod armor ruins the game, if you don't put the leg armor together with the body armor you will have a character with invisible legs, that mod is horrible, also it's absurd how the Egyptians are made up of armies of half men naked while in their cities you can buy medieval iron armor, the mechanics are overall good but present many imbalances, I am a fan of BannerKings, but this mod presents several balancing problems, it would have been nice if all these new features had been applied to Calradia Expanded Kingdoms, I found that Mod brilliant in combination with Banner Kings, it's really a shame that it was abandoned, I hope the developers update it to 1.2.8
that's because after the first year of early access bombing, they decided "we need to make money through console" so they drip fed us TRASH updates that BROKE everyone's modded playthroughs for another entire year just so they can work hard on the console port of the game... so then monkeys with consoles can buy the game - drool while playing it for only 4 hours and never touch it again when they figure out its not call of duty.@@QuotidianStupidity
@@QuotidianStupidity 1) I doubt this modset is flawless. I especially doubt the AI uses these new mechanics well if at all 2) Making the engine as powerful and accessible is what TW has been focusing on. That is incredibly hard, because you can't take shortcuts and hard-code fixes to problems. They have to make the code generic enough to be accessible to modders with a variety of different plans, but also still powerful enough to allow those plans to be fleshed out. I cannot understate how hard of a task that is 3) This mod is really impressive, especially because they made parts of it customizable, but it still all requires the BL engine to make it happen. I bet TW's plan all along was to make BL as moddable as possible, rather than forcefully fleshing out systems
@@baeromir that mindset of “let the modders fix our game” is what lead to Bethesda thinking Starfield was acceptable… they forgot how to make a good game and even the modders can’t fix that dumpster fire. The progress made since it went to EA is atrocious vs what solo devs can make, and modders have made for this game alone. More of everything that the game should have launched with
@@QuotidianStupidity it’s a order of magnitude harder to write a game engine general enough that it’s easily mod-able than it is to force features into the game. To write mods, you’re mostly hardcoding behavior, and not thinking about writing it to be compatible with other things. That’s why mod compatibility is so annoying, most mods aren’t written very “cleanly.” Would I like more features from TW? Yes of course, but you must understand that when they create features they have a much much much higher standard of quality code than a mod would
not entirely sure its this you are talking about when you say DISABLE RBM TROOPS MODULE, only thing with wording troops in it is Troop overhaul, yet again troop module could kindda also be AI so im a bit ???
Hey is it possible to play this setup without RBM? I know lots of people really like it but I feel like it slightly unbalances the cavalry and archers (cav gets massive buff, archers get massive debuf) I know thats a little more realistic but I'll take balance over realism in this instance. I know there is a like a setup guide and such but can I run this exactly the same just without RBM. Honestly I was kind of thinking of just running Banner Kings and Banner Cultures and their prerequisites and then building from there later.
It sucks that the majority of these cool mods are mainly operational through the nexus mods website. I have never used that website before, relying mainly on steam's workshop for my mods, and honestly the process of having to learn how to navigate the website just to try out a single mod that is technically considered a modpack makes the ordeal really unappealing. Steam as is easy as it could get, one button click and done, then again I am not a modder so I wouldn't know the complications behind having to make and post a mod on steam and working to update it from there onwards. Modders for games like Project Zomboid, Stellaris, and many others make it look easy though lol.
no way, second mod, the culture one, the first kingdom is the Darshi, on god in my playthrough I have rn, I had named my kingdom "The Darshi" because of the horse, crazy
Gotta say.. I'm interested. Burned out with patches breaking everything for a while each and every time and Modders giving up trying to keep stuff updated/fixed. Maybe it's time to try again?
One of my main issues is, the game is so small (factions) and the cities feel so dead. This mod doesn't really bring that up to a standard I'd bother with. Also the battles don't actually feel like battles, the AI is so bad battles/sieges are like boston dynamic testing grounds for bad pathing experiments. The core game is boring/bad. The character development can be somewhat fun but theirs just not enough to do in the game. This mod doesn't change that.
My problem with these is that i wish the collections or the huge amount of mods would JUST WORK together but thats not always the case so i keep jumping from save to save. not to mention that i can never commit since this s*** keeps crashing after every update.
Im still waiting. Lords and companions don't have unique personality and features from Warband like Right to rule, feasts and character interactions still aren't here. I also don't like the faction logo designs that lords spawn with and want to see heraldry design make a return. The vanilla outfits for units still look clumped together and weird. I'm not seeking total historical accuracy, but at least something historically appalusaible.
what people are thrown off the game isn't what game offers in play style its the AI which is so stupid when it comes in combat ...... take just vanilla game itself attack faction long enough to have all their armies eliminated but not their castles taken.... the just keep coming with many lords and with a hundreds of peasants against my highest tiers troops..... in castle attack enemy troops in some spots groups up but they literally stand there unless ur just walk up to them and een than like 5 guy come at you sandwich you in between each other and you or them cant realistically hit each other or you just walk back a little and they run back to their original spot like nothing happened and keep standing there until some spot is available and when they run to their designated spot they just run past you giving you a 1-2 hits if happens ...... overlay its so utterly stupid and not enjoyable at all.... you an literally win every battle because AI is made only 1 thing go from spot A to spot B to do thing A and to do B when it doesn't go well
No mod will fix the fact that clans without a kingdom will simply disappear, and archers won't stand on walls on siege. This game is just a pathetic shell of what it was promised to be, it doesn't even have feasts that Warband has...
Probably going to mess with all the mods....tried starting again like a month ago and couldn't get it going with the mods I already had soo I'll pass for now. Cool though
Is there any mod just to expand map with more cities and castles? ( not so much things as this mod) i just want more cities not more option game, this game has so much things to do and you never can do them. You just be in war all the time, this game do not know the peace lol)
