I understand there is no other way to do this testing but most people don't holiday their season and therefore play with a different engine then the one used in tests like this. The holiday engine is way more simplified than the one used when you play the game.

Interesting... Didn't know that. So that's why sometimes I win lots of games on holiday, but when I go with the same tatic and actually play the match I get strange/unexpected results. Thanks 👌

I used a tactic from Joseph (I think) from FMScout which was a 4222 with IFs in FM23 and it was a beast tactic.

Could you create a test on how the game's pre-defined tactics, compared to some tactics created by a human player, really stand out better? Testing in the most used formations so as not to test them all, could be a good idea.

I wonder to what degree player roles impact these results. The default player roles for the central midfielders in 433 DM Wide are very conservative. If those are changed to more aggressive roles then maybe the 433 DM Wide Gegenpress tactic might end up being similarly effective as the 4231 version.
