It's weird to see the Stay On Feet as optimal, when every FMArena or FMBase tactic ever for FM23 uses Get Stuck In. How many tests did you conduct to reach these results?
The game engine is broken, simple as that. Don't even bother with players with great technicality and garbage physicals. Don't bother with scouting focuses. Just go to players in range, and search for players above 15 pace+accel in every position (and add jumping reach for the GKs, CBs and STs), then scout them all.
I destroyed them all just using my Thornish, Caraglow and Elderjel. The hardest one of them all was the one on the most left side with an Elderjel and Vertraag.
They have updated the game I guess. Steam Golem’s Shirld burst only expends 90% of all shield and only does 175% damage of the shield strength now… not 300% like in your video. F*** I hate this!! Jesus!!! The game went from east to impossible with these alchemists. F***! Fu*k this godd** game
All this data is great but sort of confusing at times. Why dont you make a video where you take this data and put this into actual practice by making a tactic feom scratch and use an average team like West Ham or Brighton and actually show us how this can be applied successfully in the game. Play a few games and lets see how it performs.
Thank you for video mate. It helps to know what my options are when coming up against a stronger opponent. There are times I’ve sat back and got hammered. But video helped me understand why I got hammered.
This head to head test league gives us a chance to test how to beat a single tactic or opposition strength. What's tactic do you have the most difficulty facing?
Simulations in the FM series aren't as valuable as the FME uses the tactics in a different way to the QME, which gives a much higher weighting to things like player reputation and value.
That’s just not true, simulations are incredibly valuable. FMArena has done extensive testing on tons of different aspects of the game using simulations
man, you just validated what the rumor is/was. pace and probably acceleration and other physicals matter more. Test is needed but those posting those reddits were also doing tests. FM arena also had over 2,000 tests. No one other than a caveman IQ guy is claiming something works with a season or so. Everyone acknowledges you need representative data points. So what's your -additional- comment here other than agreeing with them?
I go for flak vest + Marine helmet always...then is combination of thrombo and devilstrand clothing for pants, shirt and parka (yes I play mainly in colder climates)
First of all, thank you for the video and your efforts. I don't understand English very well, so I use a translation programme. I watched the video for about 5-10 minutes, but the graphics confused me a bit. So, according to what you have analysed and concluded in the video, is the statement ‘META FEATURES CHANGE THE GAME’ shared on Reddit wrong for you? I'm thinking of deleting the game just for this reason, if the physical features don't affect the game to a high degree, I shouldn't delete the game. Right?
Making money on this game for lower teams is stupid. Been promoted four times back to back for Yeovil (now in championship) and my budget for the championship season is 56k….
Looking bsck at this since i still don't know what to equip my pawns with after thousanfs of hours playing, i need to mention that the thick armoure mod mades it that apparel that takes up more than one layer is counted for each layer which i find is how the base game should work
After several attempts at this stupid fight I was finally able to beat this s.o.b. ATM this build didn't really work for me so I used your fungi, fungi, troll build to quickly take out a couple of his guys and once they were dead I used Yowie, Targot, and Brutus. With them I just spammed healing spells to keep the team alive while Brutus took each out after a few hits .
Still works in 2024! The only thing I changed is giving Bard the Mandolin instead of the Harp. Harp doesn't give any attack boost, which Bard uses for his single target heal. I'm not sure if that's a new addition to the game or not, but it seems made for him. One suggestion is single targeting things like Sutsune that will steal buffs. If only to make the fight faster.
In FM you don't have same players between the teams. You can have slow defenders or the opposition strikers are prime Usain Bolts, so it's better to set defensive line deeper. Also have you tested how the instructions correlate with mentality? Playing on attacking and setting everything like you say might be an overkill and less efficient
Very nice video, short but direct :) I agree with the idea that pushing up is the way to go, there seems no way I can stop conceding goals so may as well just go at them.
