@@HandlesTheCyberman the irony is it shouldn’t this is a Spider-Man movie stop making it about freaking Tony . Hulk was the second mcu movie don’t see them connecting everything to the Incredible Hulk lol
I think Ned being Hob-goblin is such a dumb idea because it was retconned in the comics. It wasn’t the intended identity of Hobby by the original creator of the villain
I think it could work for a very low-tech suit. Maybe a spare suit for a final battle? Marvel loves to give him multiple suits each movie for merchandise.
The green goblin look we did end up with is perfection, they implemented the hood and the pouch in a very smart way, and not having the mask really let Willem Dafoe bring out more of the creepy goblin persona we both fear and like at the same time. I do think the suit would have been fine with classic mask as well, it would have added to the look; but I’m happy with what we got.
If they were going to do anything different with Ned, I think it would have been interesting if he hadn't disappeared in the Blip and in the absence of Spider-Man had decided to step up to being a hero himself to protect people. So when Peter comes back, he doesn't want to go back to just being "the guy in the chair".
Considering scarlet witch got her costume from the age of ultron concept art, I’d wager we could see either the Todd McFarlene or Mark Bagley lenses at some point. I especially hope for the McFarlene lenses since they are associated with adult Peter but I wouldn’t mind the ultimate lenses either.
I agree with you Chris. I don’t want to see Peter become friends again with MJ and Ned right away because it would be a missed opportunity for character development. In the right storyline Ned could be a very cool villain but I can also see how the transition could be somewhat tricky. Ned just has a very friendly personality which makes him too likable to be feared. He needs like a turning moment that really sets him off to get him started. The head sculpts look amazing. Todd Mcfarlane is an amazing artist. As for Norman Osborn, I think the final suit worked best, it’s interesting to see the early concepts though. Good job with this video.
For the Spider-Man mask concepts, top left is Romita Sr., top right is Raimi-esque (potentially Deodato Jr.), middle left looks like a concept that Alex Ross did for the Raimi movies, mid right is McFarlane, bottom is Mark Bagley.
@@spider-man500 I know but this is a different universe with its own different rules you don't have whine about a creative choice you dont like Tom's Spider-Man is part of a bigger universe of course his history is gonna be radically different
I think the Ultimate eyes could work really well for the next film. Depending on how Peter is going when he next see him, they could either represent his greater confidence as Spider-Man, or be a subtle representation of the Spider-Man persona taking over his life more. Other than offering more hard material protection to the face and better vision (since he may not have as much tech in the lenses anymore), they also give off a more emotional vibe from a matter of perspective: These eyes could make him look angrier with the flatter angles at the top, but could also come across as more bug-like and even friendly to children if he's outwardly showing a kinder mood.
I really think that the goblin iron suit isn’t an awful idea. It’s a neat reference to the iron patriot suit Norman wears. If it was purple it would look sick
The concept art with Ned and whether or not it's foreshadowing reminds me of my two favourite quotes from The Dark Knight from the 2000s. "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain" "Madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push"
The very bottom lenses reminds me of bagely’s ultimate lenses which funnily enough mcu took bits of inspiration from the ultimate universe, especially Spider-Man.
my biggest complaint besides the black lining on the homecoming suit WAS how small the lenses are, theyre too small for toms head, i rly hope they give him big ol Todd Macfarlene eyes in the next movie it looks so much cooler
4:07 i was loving the nwh suit UNTIL the still frame shot where we see its the exact same mask weve had for 7 years, id LOVE a fresh look for a new spidey
@@Butwhythough881 i love talking spidey suits chris shld do a video on it tbh, i sorta agree but ive never seen a spidey with sky blue shading or silk material so id honestly keep it as long as it doesnt look too kid friendly at least this suit will get ripped up tho :))
In no way would it have ruined itn. It looks kinda interesting, especially the purple version. Anything's better than the terrible 2002 Green Goblin movie suit. That green Power Ranger suit Willem Dafoe originally wore is one of the worst adaptations of a comic book suit I have ever seen. I wish they would have gone with the more comic accurate design from the test footage of the original movie.
They went with that suit because Dafoe wanted to do his own stunts plus the animatronic mask they tried using was stated to be extremely uncomfortable by him as well.
I hope they don't meet again until Ned becomes the hobgoblin and that's their first encounter cuz could you imagine Spider-Man's just swinging around and all the sudden he runs into the hobgoblin. It would already throw them off cuz it'd be kind of like seeing the Green goblin again and then he finds out it's Ned underneath the mask now. That would be a great story
@@3CFilmsClips not only could it be awesome too but create great moments if they plan it right, I’d hope for the next set of movies that there s little more darker since holland has essentially transitioned from Starks child to a Spider-Man
I really hope they retcon it to where we get the classic Spider-Man suit we saw in the concept and the big eyes from the bottom row like I don’t get how they saw that suit and said nahhhh
I hope we never see Ned or Michelle again, they both brought all 3 films down for me. ESPECIALLY Michelle, wouldn’t bother me so much if they didn’t call her Mary Jane. Don’t they add the Watson later also? It’s like dude, she looks and acts nothing like MJ. Same with “flash” Thompson, looks and acts nothing like the character. What’s the difference between that, and having Tom Holland play the EXACT same character he’s playing, suit and all, but they called him Magneto.
Honestly some of those concept art ideas for the Green Goblin I think would work well for an MCU Hobgoblin. Picture this Mysterio' crew is still around from Far From Home. One of them gets his hands on Green Goblin's shattered mask and fixes it (it stayed behind like the piece of the Venom Symbiote) giving the look of the fixed mask on the Glider from the concept art. Now instead of using the Mark 6 Ironman armor like in the concept art they used what they had a spare Mysterio suit and changed it up a bit. Some paint changes to closer match Hobgoblin's comic look. And the Glider? The Drones Mysterio used like they showed Green Goblin using in the concept art. And yea this would definitely not be Ned in my canon. Probably Kingsley or Macendale.
I bet they’d write it similar to winter soldier as in like Peter is trying to figure out who the hobgoblin is and then when he finds out who he is, he ends up not wanting to fight him while Ned tries to kill him
You know maybe in this concept art when ned is on the glider maybe he would use it to fight the spiderman villans but maybe like either electro, sandman or the lizard tackle him make him fell and also maybe he would save mj from her fall
I actually like the eyes on that mask. Looks better than his small eyes. My only problem with Toms mask is that black outline is too big compared to Tobey and Andrews eyes on the mask.
I could get into the "goofy goblin" idea if his mask looked that way from having fought Spiderman. Hes got no time to make another, and keeping his identity a secret is moot in this new universe. As much power as he has, he still needs to protect his eyes while out flying
Dude, i would love it if they used the McFarlane eyes on the No Way Home ending suit, it's just they shouldn't be CGI, it would ruin it, as it would look weird and unrealistic, the McFarlane eyes are much better if they were real eye lenses, stuck permanently in that position, the cgi will ruin it.
The Todd McFarlane lenses for Spider-Man 4 are so good but I don’t think they should do it they already have the best suit possible I wouldn’t change it besides make the blue a little bit less glossy
I actually like the idea of Norman integrating Iron Man or Dark Elf armor into his own. I love the final look we ended up getting, but I think the alternative is a fun idea.
Picture this. Instead of Peter being saved by strange in the bringe scene. Goblin takes peeter by the neck and they fight in the air. They end up back into the heart of new York and crash into the side of a building where they continue to get at it. When out of no where. You hear the Tobey theme start playing. (The audience freaks out) we get a close up of Tom's face and he's like "wtf" and then it moves to a shot of Tobey wall crawling up to goblin and Tom to save the day. They both end up beating goblin and bring him to the magic prison where he begins to act like Norman. Boom
While I hate Spider-Man's villains being related to Tony, I love the concept art for Green Goblin. Norman incorporating Iron Man-esq. armor is a nod to the comics when Norman was head of S.H.I.E.L.D./H.A.M.M.E.R. and went around in Iron Man armor calling himself "Iron Patriot." Though I like the suit we got more here. It'd make more sense for the MCU version of Norman.
