Shoutout to recent_silver8509 for making this iceberg, It's really interesting. This video is for educational purposes. It's purpose is to document and explain pieces of RU-vid's history and lore.
the "?!" video can't be searched because those exclamation points are using the Japanese kana format ( for reference see how those 2 are different "?!" from the English setting, and here is the kana setting "?!" ), basically, they're different formats in the code (and also visibly), and google forgot this and used the normal format instead, youtube then doesn't read the ? and ! making the searchbar see it has invalid and empty, but youtube code see the string of invalid characters there as something and try to search for the video, but it doesn't find, making the video essentially unlisted from youtube.
There are mainly 2 types of Icebergs: Mysterious and Dark, Mysterious Icebergs get more obscure the lower you go, Dark Icebergs get darker the lower you go
After hundreds of things I've seen online end up turning out to be ARGs by art students, I can't really blame them since it's kind of the most logical conclusion at this point lol
Guys, The Emoji Movie is literally 90 minutes of product placement. The Lego Movie, on the other hand, has an actual story. Lego Movie is canon to the Lego universe. Maybe. Still, there was no disclaimer saying The Lego Movie is an ad, as best as i remember. So yeah. Lego Movie is a legit movie. All in my opinion, of course, but also sourced from Film Theory's episode on MatPat proving if The Emoji Movie is illegal through evidence. I cannot explain how very well, though, so i recommend you watch the video if you so choose.
someone probably commented this already but asuba bawana was an entry on the iceberg that was skipped. basically the search term “asuba bawana” brings up multiple obscure videos with disturbing thumbnails. sometimes these videos consist of something unattractive or gross or sometimes even gore. apparently asuba bawana is a buddhist meditation practice that is supposed to get rid of lustful thoughts by viewing something disturbing or gross.
The “.” actually refers to a much deeper thing. RU-vid removed it but a few years ago if you searched it autocomplete options would appear. they were mostly jumbled characters and zalgo and some were random emojis. The emoji ones would lead you to videos like “SUMMONING DAME TU COSITA 3AM” and other garbage like that. But the jumbled garbage actually lead to some really creepy videos of shadow people dragging children into the forest. They were mostly those but some were more creepy.
Ik this comment is old, but also if u Google ONLY the dot you get a lot of different, mostly disturbing things. You get those messed up nursery rhymes talked about here, mostly also just jumpscare images, even a few more nsfw ones. It is rlly disturbing tbh, but the search results vary by your location and stuff
The ad story is very interesting for me because around 2 years ago an ad of that same Asian woman started playing on my tv as RU-vid was just playing in its own and nobody was in the living room so I just ignored it and stayed in mine. Fast forward about 2 hours I started to get really annoyed because of how long it was going on so I came out to turn it off but as I watched the video it was one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen (it didn’t talk to me). On the surface it looked as if the woman was just advertising a makeup product in a loop but as I watched it became apparent that it wasn’t a loop but she was just doing and saying almost the exact same thing ever time. Got a bit uncomfortable by that and turned it off but I actually did snap a short video of this chilling ad.
@@angelspawn2009 when I turned it off it still had three hours left to go so it must’ve been at least five hours and the name of the add was some south East Asian language I belive it was Vietnamese or Chinese but I couldn’t tell you for sure and in terms of finding the video I recorded I’m having some trouble as I think it may be on my old phone which I have to track down
Thank you for making scary stuff not super scary,, I get really scared by things easily but I'm really interested in this kinda stuff. Your casual approach to it is really nice, thank you!
I really wish you explained how terrible the Sad Satan game really was. For those who don’t know the game flashes players with pictures of CP and gore and the site is run by perogiles (i spelled that wrong on purpose). I know he said that there’s a safe version of the game but do not risk it at any cost.
The guy didn’t explain it well. It was part of a conspiracy theory that people in the future went back in time and recorded events throughout history. It’s an interesting theory but at the end of the day just a theory
First time I saw "I Feel Fantastic" was when I was like 9 or 10, my brothers friend showed me expecting to scare me. And it didn't scare me. But somehow it triggered something in me to be scared of all things uncanny, and then that video terrified me. It like left a mark on me and I can't look at it without nearly passing out of fear. Don't know why, can't explain it but even hearing the robotic voice puts me in panic mode. What's funny though is I love these scary video iceberg stuff but can't go near one without the internet iceberg video, with a nice, huge picture of the stupid robot on the thumbnail so I had to get a thumbnail remover extension and now I can watch these videos as long as I go to the comment section first or closely read every video listed in the iceberg picture.
I can't believe it, this is exactly how I feel. The Only thing I think about during these videos is if that robot or the song is going to be in it. Worst part was that I had forgotten about it for a while until I watched some kind of top 100 meme song video and there it was. I got awful chills then and almost passed out and nowadays I can't watch a video without thinking about that devil. It has been 4 years since that stupid meme song video and I still can't get her out of my head...
I have the exact same problem with i feel fantastic, still havent gotten over it after who knows how many years. Even if i see its stupid little pale face for a millisecond its burned into my mind for the next 3 days, it haunts me. Weirdest thing is i dont ever get scared, like it could be the most horrifying thing ever and ill only be slightly scared, but that robot haunts me forever
Hello, Russian here! So basically ''Russian RU-vidr killed by government" is about Aleksey Navalny - Russian opposition politic that started his career on his youtube channel. He gained a lot of popularity, and government decided to 'silence' him by poisoning him. Happily, he survived, and now he is alive and safe.
Don’t forget about the funniest part - he called his f-ing killer and the killer has confessed honestly when I saw it for the first time I was wheezing like wth lol
Hey Parallel Pipes, I know I'm a bit late on this but the "Russian RU-vidr killed by government" may be referring to the case of Russian pop singer Zelim Bakaev. He went missing after eyewitness reports stated he was taken by government officials off the street. The most commonly believed theory is that, due to Zelim being openly gay, he was sent to a concentration camp in Russia (which are proven to exist) and eventually killed. He wasn't a "RU-vidr", but a few months after his disappearance, he uploaded a video to RU-vid claiming that he decided against the life as a pop star and moved to Germany to live in peace. In the video you can tell he's reciting a script and is acting extremely nervous. Whether the theories surrounding his disappearance are true or not, it is a real tragedy as he was a real man who did go missing, and even his own mother believes he was taken by the Russian government.
I’m 14 but I never really saw creepy pastas I just automatically went to lost media’s then internet mystery’s as well as true crime. Now seeing creepy pastas there not scary at the slightest.
I wish to go back to that time so much I watched the Lego movie like 5 times cuz I just changed youtube videos and got the ad and was like "WELP guess I'm watching Lego movie now" and watched the entire ad
The ad girl is the only one that truly terrified me. Its just how ordinary and normal she looks that makes it feel like something really isnt right feeling.
Hey does anybody remember there was a part in this RU-vid iceberg format where he showed a RU-vid channel about a similar RU-vid account. I’m trying to find it but can’t I think it was called something with the letter a. It was a short name idk. I really hope he doesn’t cut the part out of the video cause I can’t find the part. I only know that it’s very similar to the doll guy and that it was a creepy woman in a dark background which really scared me
He has a thousand dollar fursuit; He went to a furry convention; He makes a cameo in a furry youtuber's channel; He constantly talks about furries and bowser, even having multiple merchandise and a BODY PILLOW of the character. And he is probably not a furry.
@@TheSocks221 Yeah, we all already know (or should know) that furries don't believe they are the animals, they don't flick animals and it's just a character, just cosplay, it's funny imo but idrc and I don't get why others rlly care ;-;-;-;-
@@kel51kel exactly ! a friend of mine is a furry and it´s really just a cosplay kind of thing. a roleplay if you will. she is well aware that she is actually a human. i don´t get why people keep getting their head wrapped around it.
Also, something else a bit disturbing is that there was actually an uncensored version of 'Shoujo Tsubaki Midori' on RU-vid for a little while. Shoujo Tsubaki Midori (some people just call it 'Midori'), has been rated 'the world's most disturbing anime'. It is about a 12-year-old girl named Midori in the 1920-1940s. Her father left her as a baby and at the beginning of the movie, it shows her mother who got slowly eaten alive from the **private parts** by rats. When Midori is alone, she decides to go work at the circus where she is then raped multiple, multiple times. And then just when she thinks she had escaped, her chance is taken away from her and then she hallucinates of all the circus freaks who raped her. She then screams and the scream is terrifying. You can literally feel the pain she is feeling. Ending: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0B2Ahww9AzU.html
@@user-saraswatidevi yeah same I actually really enjoyed it (of course not in "that way" but I find the story and animation very emotional. Something about this movie is that the scream at the end made me cry. I never ever cry during movies. Even when a fav character dies. This is true art.
I'll add to the iceberg that there's also a decent sized community of fake animal rescue videos: basically, they pretty much abuse an animal and then pretend to "rescue" it. You can tell it's the same one as they use it in multiple videos, but keeps coming back in worse condition, some of them end up dying which is then docummented by a "out rescued dog/cat/squirrel/whatever died" video. RU-vid doesn't do much to them because these videos technically still don't contain animal abuse, just an abused animal being rescued. A lot of these channels also come from third world/middle eastern/middle asian countries, which don't have strict animal abuse laws, so pretty much most of them don't face any consequences. (But sure, spend your time demonetizing people for saying "fuck" instead, that's way worse than any of these channels :/)
Charlie, or Penguinz0, has made some videos about it and the main guy who started the whole "fake rescue" trend thing finally had his channel taken down. There are still videos up about it from other channels, which is bad, but I feel like it's finally coming to light due to other, big youtubers speaking about it.
@@simplyymase4005 It's actually illegal to photograph at night because it's an artistic creation still under copyright. According to European Copyright Law, such monuments are protected for the lifespan of the work's legal creator-plus 70 years.
Congrats on 420k subs, I remember watching this when it was pretty new. This video was really good because my friend and I watched this in 3 or 4 in the morning. It feel better that way!!!
For the Floricita Dreams channel, its mostly creepy because of the video that mentions selena delago. Supposedly Selena was a missing persons case and back in mexico, most of our parents (probably some only remember) how tv would be broadcast and show a missing person. However this selena delgado person isnt real, there is no record of that person. That is why people find it somewhat creepy that she appears on local news stations but isnt a missing nor a real person. Also I'd like to add on that they use her face and compare it to other creepy pictures. I think this was to see how uncanny valley would work with her picture.
Actually florecita dream is part of like a group of people that call himself part of La triada roja principally they just do random and weird shitpost by bored there was a community page back in 2019 but got deleted and in 2020 triada rojo got archived except for the three principal channels-
Bro no way Local58 is that deep. It is one of my favorite Analog Horror series, and I think a LOT more disturbing things should be deeper. And not fake stuff, I think real scary stuff should be put down there.
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream (bung, bung, bung, bung) Make him the cutest that I've ever seen (bung, bung, bung, bung) Give him two lips like roses and clover (bung, bung, bung, bung) Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over Sandman, I'm so alone (bung, bung, bung, bung) Don't have nobody to call my own (bung, bung, bung, bung) Please turn on your magic beam Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream Make him the cutest that I've ever seen Give him the word that I'm not a rover Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over Sandman, I'm so alone Don't have nobody to call my own Please turn on your magic beam Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream Mr. Sandman (yes) bring us a dream Give him a pair of eyes with a "come-hither" gleam Give him a lonely heart like Pagliacci And lots of wavy hair like Liberace Mr. Sandman, someone to hold (someone to hold) Would be so peachy before we're too old So please turn on your magic beam Mr. Sandman, bring us, please, please, please Mr. Sandman, bring us a dream
It's very true and hard to understand what happened with that car crash girl there's something about maura Murray 112 or some guy had a map with a face and a arrow and the drawing of the face corresponds to a building near route 112 and i think maura was trafficked and 112dirtbag might have had some involvement with it
Bro when he said suicide mouse i started getting phobia in my room, yes im 12 shut up, i just have a fear of creepypasta and since you said that OMFG THANKS I didn’t have to get nightmares for my entire life
Dude I was doing homework listening to music and I got an ad so I was like ‘this is fine’ until 3 min later, and realized IT WAS 11 HOURS LONG, AND IT WAS UNSKIPPABLE
the japanese creepy doll dude is a kind of parody of the popular virtual youtuber trend. His videos are always kinda disturbing but have a sort of familiarity once you get used to them, it's not as weird on its own. The REAL curiosity behind it is how all the comments are filled with hearts and japanese ppl praising him of being awesome and cute and stuff, just the same as any other moe virtual youtuber. It's a really interesting community around him.
It is an inside joke; it's a meme. People hear about the comments, go leave their own and now theres a community. Nugumu knows this and plays into it. It's fun in a way. What comes to the channel you can just search "Nugumu" and find it p easy.
I'm spanish, and the florecita dreams channel is mostly a spooky spanish shitpost channel, I think it's just for troll people that don't understand spanish
It's actually a channel exploiting a Mexican urban legend called Selene Delgado, search it up it is actually a really interesting urban legend, florecita dreams is basically arg from that
I once got a chinese mobile game ad that was about some pregnant woman, and she popped out the baby and it flew right against the screen in a bloddy splash... has to be one of the weirdest ads I've ever seen
I’ve seen one that the protagonist became king and abuses womens than decides to save last one just because she was attractive Chinese mobile game ads are weird and disgusting
ABOUT THE 5 HOUR TELEVISION AD I definitely had an ad like this. It didn't talk back, it wasn't in our language and the ad was for one of the shitty children's channels, however me and my family were really confused by it. It said it was 7 hours long and it wouldn't let us skip it until we were 10-ish minutes in. We obviously reported the ad but it was overall very creepy, with flashing images, weird characters, etc
the old ads on the old children’s “cartoons” are insane (like circa 2017) I have two younger sisters, and my mom doesn’t allow youtube. So they came over, asked to watched youtube and i stupidly said yes All of a sudden, a ad comes up and it’s like .. Dora. You know how they talk to the person watching? It was like that.. but about death And the show was something about Elsa and Spider-man? hooking up. I stopped letting them watch youtube after that It’s called Elsa gate i think. Shit was weird
@@ivurby6781 that was never confirmed, and many things points to it being a publicity stunt by the creator of RayRay or a weird art project. Maybe it is a very dark video of a very creepy tragedy, but alas nothing can confirm that.
I think the one at the end “RU-vid Watches You” refers to a very strange phenomenon that can happen involving RU-vid. I have countless experiences of me using/talking about a specific product only for that product to show up in a RU-vid ad. For example, eating Starbursts while watching RU-vid, only to have a Starbursts ad to pop up out of nowhere. At least that is what I believe that entry was trying to get at.
i'm surprised local 58 is so low on the iceberg, but maybe i'm biased bcuz i'm a huge analog horror fan n look for every channel in that content genre (with local 58 being the most popular channel out here)
