I love the 1906r! New Balance did an awesome 👏 job. I love the mesh upper & I love the aging they did on them. I missed out on release so I’m paying resell for without a doubt. Awesome 👏 video Sean!

Yessss was waiting for this review. I love these but struck out for retail. So imma just pick up the GR colorway of the 1906’s. The colorway imma pick up actually reminds me of the JJJJound Asics. But aye I’ll take it

This is great lol I saw this NB collab and was looking to see if you did a review yesterday and didn't see one. And now here we are. 😂😂 I really dig the 'old school' tech vibe this gives off. Not a fan of the staining. Not sure if they were trying to go for "rust" like an aged metal, but it would be WAY cleaner without. Regardless, it's a great entry for the 1906R model and I love that even the N logo has a purpose. You don't see that at all, so it's pretty refreshing. I don't like the price tag for something that is nearly all mesh and synthetic materials. They need to work on either making it more premium or bring down the price to compete w/ the 2002r

I bought the 2002r based on the materials but I like the aged look on these a lot.

I like these but I’m awaiting the new color way I just saw a sail color-way I’m interested in copping once it’s released.

I grabbed the 2002r collab. I'm not sold on the 1906R because of the all mesh base, but maybe in future i'll pick up a pair to give it a go

I found the 2002r from this collab fell short. I still believe they're sitting at my local livestock. I took an L when new balance Canada released these.... Been waiting for livestock but apparently there's a delay.

Very dope shoe

I see what you mean with Asics running shoes. They really give off a retro Kayano or Nimbus vibe. To me, these remind me a lot of the Nike Spiridon Cage 2 (retro runner, metallic accents and the mesh). Most people only cared about that shoe for the Stussy collab and they ended up discontinued rather quickly.

Been on the fence about these bc of the discolored mesh but I think I’m gonna pull the trigger. These look awesome.

Saucony Grid Webs and Grid Azuras have a similar sort of look to these. ASICS is definitely the closest though. The non-collab versions of 1906R aren’t too terribly more expensive than those other brands though. I think they’re pretty interesting looking if certainly a product of their original time period.

I'm usually always same size as you SG, but these have to say upsize 1/2 size for me. I've got the OG colourway in the white gold and black

Dont worry sean there are many more premium suede and leather versions of this shoe coming out that include all over suede/higher learning pack and also a refined future/protection pack design. I've seen leaks hehe from people I know

For once, I had to go up a half size for this model. The toe area definitely felt narrow compared to the 2002r

I doubt they'll pull it off. These kinds of uppers puts them closer to Asics, who make shoes just as good at New Balance, but don't have the same mount of hype behind them.

I knew it! Storage! Wow That’s a lot of sneakers 300 plus I bet. I had to give some of mine away. Was running out of space and spouse is getting really mad about it. LOL.

I want to like these…with the 2002r I think that model is the perfect balance of “dad shoe” while also having a modern look. These are just some straight grass cutters 😫
