Thank you for uploading this. I’ve always wondered what this piece was.

It's a concert aria by Mozart which I believe was written in around 1788. And Sir Tom does indeed sound splendid as usual. :-)

It's a Mozart-aria to please the Austrian Emperor Joseph. I heard this aria for the first time in Amsterdam, sung by Ditrich Fisher-Dieskau, in the seventies.

Who composed this piece, if I might ask? It's really cool! And Sir Tom Allen sounds wonderful as always. :-D
