And another one - His Grace ("Duke the Lost Engine") who was "killed in the War" and IIRC is the only human character whose death was referred to in the RWS books - though "The Island Of Sodor - Its People History and Railways" mentions the date of death of at least the first Sir Topham Hatt, and possibly Sir Topham Hatt II as well.
Fun Theory: "Salty's Stormy Tale" and "Fergus Breaks the Rules" were actually filmed before "Bill, Ben and Fergus", because in those episodes, Fergus's flywheel looked to be working fine.
You forgot Stanley, the Mid Sodor Railway's number 2 locomotive who replaced Smudger. He either got scrapped or came to be left to rot. What about the various standard gauge trucks from Bulstrode (RWS), Haunted Henry and the Spotless Record?
That unknown narrow gauge engines and the NG trucks vanished into the hands of Sam Wilkinson (Just kidding, that Skarloey model is now in the good hands of ThomasTankMerch)
Godred's death was a story that Culdee made up to teach caution. It's revealed at the end of the story where he told it. The freight cars that were buried alive might have been salvaged. Even so, they might not have died. Duke survived being buried alive in a shed. Plus, the freight cars that fell off the bridge were able to float. Plus, Peter Sam's driver also said they would have to get help to pull them out, so they may have been salvaged off screen.
I don't think Culdee made that story up, as it is based on the real-life incident of Snowdon Mountain Railway's number 1 L.A.D.A.S. The ending of _Bad Lookout_ is rather ambiguous, but Godred's story is referred to again in _Devil's Back._

anyway check this out, here some story you like Donald's Duck 2 (annual story)1985 Dilly the duck lives at ones of the stations on duck and oliver's branch line. She sometimes referred to as donald duck and since the fat controller has an engine called duck you can imagine that people sometimes are confused. She came to the line after donald had been teasing duck the engine. That cut his back and his driver and fireman put dilly inside donald's water tank. When she popped out donald's driver and fireman treat her kindly and she soon became favorite to everyone the on the railway. But one day dilly disappeared. "have you seen dilly?" the station master asked. donald's driver and fireman. "no" they said "not since last week" The stationmaster and porter searched everywhere and porter searched everywhere. They looked under the seats in the seats in the waiting rooms, behind the cupboards, and on high shelves. But they couldn't find her. Even looked in the room below. The signal box where the oil lamps were kept. but it was no use. Until he had vanished. Days went by days became weeks, weeks became one month and then another. But there was still no sign of dilly. One day duck was waiting to start from the station nearby slippers had been laid between the rails to make a path for the railway "ran away mate" called ducks fireman. Amazing what Thomas & Friends could do before TV companies now decided death is too much for children. But wow, I never thought that truck in season 8 is the one time it happened since Hit bought the show! 😮
Here's a custom name for the unknown engine that fell off the bridge the name was khalidas he was a very old train very old then Duke until one night the brakes wouldn't work there was something on the bridge and then he derailed and then fell off the bridge and drowned in the swampy Waters below how do you like my little story for that unknown engine
And smudger is technically alive but just built into dukes locomotive class and was named bertrum just to hide his identity. Think about it an engine with a similar engines face does that make you wonder question quite abit
In the railway series smudger a.k.a. Stanley was moved away from the sheds to a mine to become a pumping engine but One day he failed and the mine flooded with Stanley in it….
Lets pay some respects to these whom haved passed. People come and people go. We must accept this. Now i know this is just Thomas and friends and its a "gOOfy kIDs sHOw" but still some deaths may be in cockiness it may be a accident. We aren't perfect. None is. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
One troublesome truck died being crushed my gordon he ram to the truck to hard and it smashed it to pieces as the truck is smashed the other ones watch in horror as one of there trucks was smashed
