At first, this was based loosely on a story by Christopher Awdry. This, in the end, became an original story... and was set to be a story formatted in the style of Series 2, but after a certain piece of music came to mind, it was then reformatted from scratch as a Series 3 story...

The idea for this story came about when news was confirmed of the passing of Felix the Station Cat last December and is made in tribute to her... but the story becomes a personal tribute to a close friend who sadly passed away before prior to its completion.
Jess was a rare person in my perspective, a kind and wonderful friend... a cat lover... and someone who left this world too young, with the blessing of her family, this story is for her... she had been given a preview of the story in the hospital she was resting, the same one you guys saw at the time.
