Thomas Bergersen and Hans Zimmer cannot be compared......Both of their music worlds are different.......Hans' world is scoring to picture and he has limitations according to the movie he is scoring....Thomas's world is Epic Music and his 4 min tracks describe a lot of things..... so they both are great at what they do and they sit on two different thrones.......
@@novastar6112 It was through music like that of Thomas' that I came to appreciate the legendary romantics; Beethoven, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Wagner, Debussy, Satie ... Then Mozart, Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi soon followed. Music like this is a great intro into the musical legends. I know I don't stand alone...
my dad introduced me to electronic music when I was a kid growing up in the 70's. He listened to Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Jan Hammer etc. He passed away in 2000 - he never got to see such epic films as Sunshine, Inception, Interstellar, Oblivion, Gravity, Tron Legacy, The Dark Knight trilogy... he would've loved all these fantastic soundtracks.
My dad died in 2020. He introduced me to music in general. Loved it ever since. My manager introduced me to TSFH. I fell in love with the music. He was not wrong that I would like it.
Born i '72, and my dad fed me all that... He's still crazy about Vangelis... But when I (kinda) forced him to watch Interstellar at an IMAX (Dolby Atmos) theater, he was just as blown away like I was... Since then, he like I never got the same out of other sci-fi's... Nothing since... Could ever reach to that level for us... It's all just... Meh...Too bad you didn't get to experience it with him... So here's a little something (hopefully soothing) for you... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KR3tQfbHlLI.htmlsi=c8whSgANEbaIh55a
After hearing this I don't think I will ever hear anything better in my whole life. Everything is perfect, from the melodies, to the percussion, the brass, Merethe's voice...the whole thing. Thomas Bergersen is arguably the best orchestral/cinematic composer of our time.
I think exactly the same! I love Thomas B. SO SO much! Every one of his compositions sounds like heaven... Ah I can't express my love for him and his music this is just too beautiful and perfect to put into words..
black blade, two hearts, miracles, the list goes on, but honestly all of his songs are pretty close to each other, in the end its basically all about preference. ill always love thomas and every single one of his compositions
I find it a little sad when people only mention Thomas. I think that Nick Phoenix deserves as much praise. It is arguable who is better, but I think they are best together as Two Steps From Hell.
AsgardianTimeLordPianist I agree with you though this is a Thomas Bergersen's solo track, not Two Steps From Hell. Would make no sense to praise another composer who took no part in this amazing track when my comment was about this particular one.
One of the most inspirational sounding modern-symphony pieces out there. Perfectly fits the Interstellar trailer. Just goes to show not only loud rock or rap will pump you up.
@@Ryan_2112 I've been listening for about four years, too, Ryan. I spent my whole life looking for music like this and I've never been the same since finding out there was a whole genre of it. It makes me feel more alive than I've ever felt before!
Well, the actual dialogue goes like this: Cooper: Everybody ready to say goodbye to our Solar System? Rimley: To our galaxy... Sooo.... Bryzzle quoted it wrong. But who cares.
I showed this to my plasma rocket powered spaceship with overdrive up to light speed, and it has now transcended the realm of physicality onto higher dimensions. I kind of wish I still had my Honda Odyssey now..
Zemus I absolutely love the soundtrack that the film has, especially the songs Day One, Mountains, and No Time For Caution, but this song is just... AHHH
Jdnnnebbanksiiahn$'kdidhh&&@38874&'dogoktkj!!!!!!!!! Dont tell me that! I almost forgot they didnt...fuckkkkk. This would've made everyone in the IMAX theaters faint from the intensity
At 3:19 when she starts, her voice is simply breathtaking. What a beautiful, strong, moving voice. I was in awe , speechless. Goosebumps all over my body. what a piece of pure art.
You conceal the hurt You conceal the pain The sun has come in vain Come on You conceal the hurt You conceal the pain The sun has come in vain Come on These are the lyrics @3:46
I dare not even breathe while listening to this piece of music - for fearing it might spoil its awesomeness. I don't know how you make music like this. But don't stop. Ever.
How can music be so wonderful?. Why can't the world we live in, not be as wonderful. Why can't we all have a fanatic life, who is stopping us, for not livening our life to the wonders?.
Here we soar to dark unknown, And leave the past of earth we known. Stars we seek, now lighthouse that guide, Into the great beyond that hope to bide. And once we found a place called home, To plant our stand against those roam. For the final frontier, was a step to man, Of countless gems, like sea and land.
Subtracting YAY! X-files for the win! "We are but visitors on this rock, hurtling through time and space at 66,000 miles an hour. Tethered to a burning sphere by an invisible force in an unfathomable universe. This most of us take for granted, while refusing to believe these forces have any more effect on us than a butterfly beating it's wings halfway around the world. "
I was looking for this since i saw the trailer for Interstellar. I thought the track was composed by Hans Zimmer. This is insanely over the top. I have NEVER experienced a feeling quite like this. And the movie was simply another breathtaking masterpiece by an awesome visionary. Makes me proud of everything.
Billions of galaxies Billions of suns Many people explore the great unknown Looking up and wondering What's out there? Is there another living life for Or is it us just over there? We may never know The balance of space or time But what we do know is that the evidence is worth more than a dime The space we live in The universe alive This is our home Great minds collide
The most emotional peice of music i've heard since "Chicane - Saltwater". Thank you for bringing tears to my eyes once again. A true masterpiece and emotional rollercoaster. This is what music "should be" and its been years since the last. Thank you Thomas, from the bottom of my heart.
This song......its breathtaking. This song was the reason why I watched interstellar trailer over and over till I found out Thomas composed it which made it even MORE AMAZING
On a train right now, on my way to see them live. Listening to the Sun album to hype me up, I'm so excited. Their music is genuinely art, I can't believe that it just exists sometimes.
I just can't over this music.... i tried not listening to it for over a year, but every time i get drawn back. The amount of energy this type of music unleashes within me is insane, can't describe it, can't comprehend it, i really don't understand. It just takes me away from so many things, yet it brings me to so many places i've never been before. it's just to powerfull
The sound here is perfect. Nick Phoenix has done so good work. I dont believe anyone else can reach this level of perfection in the sound mixing and mastering. It sounds like angels have made tha music
Another great song by Thomas Bergersen. He's such an amazing composer and uses the orchestra better than any other composer I know. I love how this song keeps going, it's great. I love Sun, its such a great album.
Man, it's amazing how well this works with Interstellar. It's like it was written for it. Props to both parties. Cannot wait. Just makes me want to travel through space and observe everything from the very edge of it all, but I cannot, because no matter how hard I try, it's too far and it would take too much time. And by the time we reach the edge, the sons of my sons one-thousand-fold would have perished and my body would have nurtured the Earth for billions of years... if it still exists. I need to lay off the drugs...
I was deeply touched by Thomas Bergersen music, it reminded me how fragile we are, and how sometimes we do not spend our priceless minutes here on earth wisely. I will spend more time with family and friends. Thanks Tom.
hey btw, if you really like this song so much you might want to check my channel for a video named Adrift.. it is a space journey video.. so it goes with this music pretty well .. i didn't mean to promote my channel but i just felt like telling you..
But he has some of the most well elaborated scores ever. Its normal to sometimes run out of inspiration, life catches up. Liste to the burning bush from hans, very powerful and representative.
nah i always find him repetitive well after like 2012 his music started to sound the same, man of steel was just awful piece and repetitive, i just feel his over used, leave room for someone else great. I know for bats v sups, hanz is doing sups theme and junkie xl is doing bats theme, not saying his bad, just saying there are better, hence mr bergersen
Thomas Bergersen is a genius. This song is the best pick for interstellar trailer. Is as amazing as the movie. "Those aren't mountains... are waves..."
I've listened to this maybe 150 times in total in 3 years. I am hardly desensitized towards it. This music embodies triumph and struggle and it's one of the pieces out there that does so.
Why We don't see this epic music in radio and TV .... Music with ultimate power ... power from Human's Soul ... I listened to this and in eight hours I did a project that takes two weeks of hard work THIS IS ULTIMATE POWER!
This music made me watch one of the greatest films ever. Interstellar, The story is real and perfect in my taste. Just like how much I adore Bergersen's music.
I took my ex to see Interstellar on our first date just under two years ago. We've been split up for over a month now and I was just on Soundcloud shuffling music to find new songs. The next minute, this came on, part of me literally died inside... It's strange how music can bring you across a full circle. Awesome song though.
Warrenaterz Man, it must suck to associate your ex with Interstellar... I have the same experience with the Hobbit movies. Luckily, I never liked them anyway.
This kind of music is the best to listen in a quiet museum with all the fine arts around and the best of acoustic music flowing on without anyone disturbing you at that moment and the time has stop. Only you, musics and arts..............STF........
When I hear this song this is what I was thinking - Injustice, hate, war, death. These are things we all endure. Why? It isn't fair, nor is it getting better. But music like this gives me hope. It shows me we all can do things together. With the power of Love, Justice, Wisdom, and Power all can be accomplished. And with the power that created each one of us, the ability to fix these problems Is there...
Each human has atleast one unique thing. That is the capability of understanding the true meaning of its own existence . I feel like this music symbolizes a lot to life but also to our own existence. Those who dont understand why this music is so full life doesnt mean they are stupid, it just means they are not capable of seeing the world as a gift in which it will never come back. We all have a beginning and of course an end. Never forget that.
