I knew it like 3 years ago, I heard one of their popular songs *Victory* in a fortnite video, I liked the song so I searched it using Shazam and boom... That's how I knew Music.
Ah, my favorite Celtic-rock-orchestral track finally gets its moment! :) It's like a combination of "Blackheart," "Victory," and "Flight of the Silverbird" all in one.. and an instant classic.
I heard many of these tracks in my own analysis of Mountain Call (buried somewhere in the comment section) but I seem to have missed Blackheart. Can you determine where it reminds you the most of it?
@@RosemarieCatSarahR It's not directly related in any way, but the mood during the guitar solo reminds me of the electric violin solo in "Blackheart"... kind of a relaxed and inspiring feeling of confidence. Not sure I can describe it in any proper musical terms!
Finally a comment from you again. I really started to miss you man!! And yes you're absolutely right. I think it's really not wrong to say that he broke some boundaries of music and between different music styles that no other componist did before him. Thomas' musical genius is simply just amazing!
Hello there! I wonder if you’re the same person as ‘some guy with a mushroom for his profile picture’ in previous albums :D No matter, for we all are among friends here. If Thomas wanted to do at least one thing with this album, it was to break every record in the book, toss out the old and finally liberate himself to do what he wanted to. Going into this album on its RU-vid release.... having read everything Thomas had written about on his Facebook page, I could not be happier for him. That day, a gift was given to the world that far too few of us, though united in song we are, will have the chance to explore and evolve with. My thoughts on this album are but a drop in the ocean of countless wonderings of other folks, but many drops make up the ocean.
Oh, I had a good chuckle at that. Beautiful irony. I’d say quite a few fans attempt to put Thomas’s world of music into literature, art, or other talents with degrees of success. But all of his amazing pieces? Indeed, that’s one long film. That is why we may need more than one world to fit it all into! :D
When i heard this track for the first track i understood this was the absolute perfect piece for me. I love celtic music, bagpipe, tin whistle, voice, electric guitar, could i even ask for more ?

I've been listening to Two Steps From Hell for over five years now. Somehow, Thomas still manages to subvert my expectations. I think I know what style a piece is going to be in, but then it changes (sometimes more than once). I love that I can still be surprised by music, which has existed for, well, a good few years. Nice work man!
Thomas Bergersen is the perfect example of how music can unite everyone regardless of their age, color, race and religion. We are all one single species living the very thing we call life. Put politics aside and humanity first because we are all human.

Но слушая такую музыку, ещё раз прихожу к выводу - никто, чья историческая родина южнее 40 градуса северной широты - не создаёт таких шедевров. Просто в северянах есть свобода, воля и размах. Даже я, живя в довольно закрытом государстве, могу сесть верхом и скакать много недель, добывая себе пропитание и ночлег. Эта свобода доступна лишь северянам. На юге везде люди и всё чьё то.

Listening to many pieces of TSFH i get thrilled , hearing " Star Sky " , " Empire Of Angels " and this " Mountain Call " my eyes fill with plenty of tears..

As long as we can't life together relatively in harmony it will stay corrupt, that is not only for entire countries, but also for our own households, neighbours and nature. But let's hope tolerance will come to us by time

No kidding - I also blast the Humanity album in my vehicle (usually) whenever I drive! At stoplights, I especially like to turn it up and roll down my windows. Let the Music out! :D
I listen to it when driving my tractor trailer 18 wheeler across country along with all the other TSFH classics. It's nice to know others enjoy listening to these when driving too :)

This is one of the most glorious pieces of music I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. The melody carries such powerful waves of emotion, and the imagery of mountains is shown in the music without a single word being spoken. Well done, and thank you for giving us this masterpiece.
It's been God knows how long since I found TSFH but it's my go to when duty calls and the job must get done. From coordinating 300 people in a warehouse to serving my country and my people in the blazing heat of an ammunition factory, to doing my occasional side jobs doing construction this stuff is always in my ears. And this track in particular speaks of the actual "call" that Slavs experience as a nature part of their day to day life.......thanks.
Thomas is probably inspired by his own songs, that would explain why he's creating masterpiece after masterpiece. Like the positive opposite of a vicious circle :P
I don't know if Thomas reads these comments, but I would like to tell him: I haven't signed into RU-vid for years since I stopped drumming semi-professionally, and have never bothered commenting on a video... until now. The release of Thomas's new works (first One Million Voices, and now the Humanity album) marks a sense of creative purity which, in my opinion, would be difficult for almost anyone to match - and to hell with any stylistic authoritarianism which may object. Easily the next Hans Zimmer, but with less stylistic constraint and (dare I say) sometimes more emotional depth. But this is not about comparisons; Thomas is his own person and clearly aspires towards something which crosses boundaries. The result is incredible - I gave up trying to write some prosaic fluff to say how much I appreciate 'those moments' where: - Humanity's motif rallies for one last epic round - when L'Appel drops - One Million Voices in general - And so much else: shout-outs to Mountain Call, Empire of Angels; Creation of Earth Damn it man, keep going. P.S. - More Audrey Callahan please, brilliant match to the music
Music is a very powerfull language, but needs a maestro with a wand to make the magic happen. For decades I refused to listen others people music and make my own, because I felt there was no magic on it. Music still polluted by mainstream...while there is so much to discover out there waitting to be found. I have to thank you Master Thomas for bringing this to my ears. You and another maestro are the only ones making magic.
Ah yes what a great piece of music... Man the day dreaming is in full swing now. What I see... A young man eager to leave his boring life behind, and venture into the mountains of fantasy or so that is how the elders explained what lies beyond the mountain range. On his travel our young man sees the most amazing things. Beautiful scenery and great beasts but as he finally reached the mountain of fantasy things started to change. People and beasts needed help and so your young man had to become a young hero of the mountain of fantasy. And so a legend begins....

Clearly, you must have met my protagonist, Rider, at some point on her travels north to Amaria before her work of the Mythic Squad. :D (No, I kid: your imagery was your own, as mine is my own. But it’s beautiful how many people see similar visions from one work of art, one song, one journey. Much of my writing is built on TSFH.)
@@RosemarieCatSarahR but that's what I love about stories and how the music inspires us to make them. Some might have the same kinda plot or adventure but the setting for it can be so different. From stone age to futuristic settings. From a realistic point to a fantasy one. Each of our stories eventually caters for someone who love reading them.... And its all because we get inspired by stuff like music. It think it's just mind boggling amazing XD

You nearly quoted a strong point of the Notification Squad (some of which became the Mythic Squad, a group of writers with TSFH’s vision). Historical fantasy settings are my favorite. TSFH takes real world inspiration and embellishes it to the stars. I just help write out what the Music already has written. The world of TSFH is so..... vast. It encompasses many things you can possibly draw upon. Fighter jets? Angels? Sailing ships? The horse and bow? Starships? Enchantresses? Pirates? Pegasi? This track simply blew me away... That super catchy melody, the orchestra, the Celtic touch and all those transitions... :O Man, Thomas never disappoints, it's absolutely mind-blowing! I don't even have words to describe his work!
Why does my heart feel so heavy listen to this one? It brings tears to my eyes. Mr.Thomas your Mountain Call tells me as if I'm going to lose someone dear to me, someone who owned my heart and my mind, someone i always prayed for😫...but still i love listen to it.
When I close my eyes and live up to each chant of the melody I feel I am on the mountain with my husband and I sit on his lap looking at the very beautiful river valley
To this day TSFH have never disappointed me, every singe one of their songs I listen to fills me with emotion and joy. There is rarely a slogan as deserved as "Music makes you braver".

Words can't describe the emotions I feel while I listen to this. It's heartbreaking, and yet majestic at the same time. It's invigorating and inspiring, and yet calming like a mother singing over her child. It is glory and despair. It is grandiose and intimate. But most of all... It is Two Steps From Hell.
Every time I hear a new tune from Mr Bergersen, I swear it’ll be my favourite and extremely hard to top, and every time I purchase his albums before listening to any of the music, I am always proven wrong . Thank you,. This music since first I heard it in 2012 with TSFH has seen me through some very difficult fines, a symphonic delight for every mood one could care to have, and inspirational for writing novels. Here is to many more years I hope (touch wood) that you may compose for our pleasure. You, Phoenix and the crew have more thanks from me than you’ll ever know, and I can ever profess.
