This piece is one of the best Thomas has ever done. Extremely quiet beginning and ending, extremely uplifting climax. The theme, melody, composition, transitions, and massive emotions it brings... Everything is perfect and beautifully done. By the way, the vocalist Merethe Soltvedt who sings in this track said she really like this incredible track. We are one/Beautiful People deserves billions of views.
“I should like to talk to you briefly about civil rights and human freedom. It is my deep conviction that we have reached a turning point in the long history of our country’s efforts to guarantee freedom and equality to all our citizens ... Our immediate task is to remove the last remnants of the barriers which stand between millions of our citizens and their birthright. There is no justifiable reason for discrimination because of ancestry, or religion, or race, or color." - Harry S. Truman, U.S. President addresses NAACP, June 29, 1947
Thank you, I was wondering who was speaking. Wonderful message, but unfortunately, that didn't age very well. Incidentally, Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball in April of 1947 when he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
This composition reminds us that we're all the same people. Color of your skin, your country or religion have no matter, because we all can listen this music. Thank you Thomas for this reminder :)
Depends, in some cases you won't have the time to know someones "character" in these circumstances it is actually beneficial to use generalization or averages. Legeslation is a good example of this.
@@lukas753331 I had tickets to the for the 2020 Amsterdam concert but Corona fucked it up, its due in february now, im hoping so much it will go through.
2020 has been an awful year. I haven't felt hope in a while. This song has filled me with happiness that I haven't felt in a long time. You are my hero Thomas Bergersen.
I swear a single tear hasn't dropped from my eyes. Alright, alright... Maybe one or two have slipped... No, but really. This becomes really emotional when you happen to be from for example Belarus, Venezuela, China or any other country that has or had something in common with unjust regimes making people suffer. Let this be a tribute to all of the people contributing to liberty. And there you have the emotional part of this composition.
He literally said in an interview that he is not a fan of constraining himself to a specific genre. He claimed, the whole idea of genres are just to classify music.
@@ubiquityphantom6354 I love that sentiment! Have you read his Facebook post from when he launched this album? It sounds like he's aiming to go even further with that idea in Humanity - I can't wait to see what the next chapters have in store...
This musical masterpiece with the speech of Harry S. Truman on the background almost makes me cry every time I listen to it ... It's not sadness, but joy 👉🏼❤️👈🏼
You've taken us all to school and helped us reconnect with the values that started this country so long ago. I want to hear this piece booming out of the sky!
Once again... gazing mouth, lump in my throat, water buildup in my eyes, emotions building up.. it can only be a melody by the Maestro himself! Truly a wonder to listen to!
I think the speech in this song, is incredibly powerful and inspiring and we need to hear the underlying message of the speech, especially now more than ever. I think this should be a world anthem for human rights. Thanks Thomas for writing such a inspiring song.
Funnily enough, I only listened to the entire album a few days ago. :D But, these duet songs rated very highly on my review. I’ll be posting each song’s analysis when the YT release happens, no need for spoilers to other great album songs. :D Mine is already out there, floating among the sea of comments. Is there anything in particular that you enjoy the most about either track, or together?
This and "Mountain Call" are absolutely my favorites in this album. You have no idea of how your music has given me strenght to keep fighting over these past years. Love you so much, greetings from Colombia ❤❤❤❤❤❤😄😄😄😄😄
11 years now, stunning, isn’t it? I first heard them in the 2009 trailer for Star Trek, but my interest in them really accelerated once Invincible and Archangel were unleashed. Never stop listening, man. May the Music always be in your heart, and make you braver. To know that there are older fans like me who still listen to current works, as well as seeing the sheer growth since reaching 1 million subscribers last year.... is astounding and heartening.
MrFreakface999 :D ‘Only 2014’? Nah mate, don’t discredit yourself whether you arrived in the world of TSFH later or sooner. At any point in time, TSFH’s works are open to you like portals; time is irrelevant (except when it comes to racing to uploads!). Mind sharing your story how you discovered TSFH?
There's one thing about Thomas' music that pretty much never happens with me when listening to other artists: Getting goosebumps already at the beginning of a track, always. This man is a living legend, a master, a genius! I have no words to describe this. All of his work is simply astounding and never disappointed me.
You are observing the power of being the greatest musical artist since Beethoven. There are times I wonder if he isn't the reincarnation of Beethoven. He pulls melodies out of thin air with a talent I really have never seen before. How can you look at him and not say, "I wish I was that good!" regardless of what you do for a living.
Thank you Thomas for stating that we, the people, are beautiful. I'm tired of seeing messages repeating that the human race is the worst species on Earth. Some individuals act as such, but there are MILLIONS, no, BILLIONS of people all over the world that are good, decent, caring and loving human beings. This song and its title rescue that. Thank you again.
Finally someone else said it! I've seen so much unjustified hate towards humanity and as someone who has seen up close how people make sacrifices for others, act brave kind and selfless in the times of crisis, forget their own needs to make a better future for all of us, it makes me so angry that some low-lifers on the internet keep saying that people evil and only capable of destroying. At the same time i kinda feel bad for them because i know they wouldn't think this way if they had been shown enough kindness in their life. I'm glad at least someone else besides me hasn't given up on our species. I wish only the best for you

No idea how you guys are surviving through lockdown, but I've been praying you'll do well anyway. Awesome music, as always. Amazing talent. Always use it for good.
another couple of minutes where I felt so many emotions ranging to hope, excitement and some sadness. These are the songs we should be passing on radio. Keep bringing hope to people.
The fact that this piece only has 10k views....it proves there's something really wrong with this world....but at the same time I'm glad that very few of us here got the chance of listening to this masterpiece...it's like...a very personal gift for each and every one of us who knows the true meaning of music....it's not really about listening....it's about feeling.
I normally don’t comment on videos. But Thomas did it again. Made me feel something in music, that something is sadness in proof that the world is greater than one bad person that started, Slavery, Discrimination, and making People FEEL Lesser than other people. Thank you so much Thomas and two steps from hell. You truly deserve every award that you are given. The people of Earth thank you for this track and album.
I live in Independence, Mo., where Harry S. Truman lived. For Father's Day a couple of weeks ago, my wife and two boys took me to the Truman Library. That speech is there, in its entirety, and brings me to tears every time I read it. Truman is a controversial figure for a lot of reasons, but he is proof that people can change and do things for the betterment of others. This song gives me that hope. Thank you so much for making this piece and sharing it with the rest of the world. We need it now more than ever.
This song heals the pain and difference between the us. Makes us think we are all one and you can start fresh and love each other's❤️💝. Love each other guys 👬👭.
Me: *thinking that the start is kinda slow and not sure whats all the fuss is about* Voice starts and music gets more and more epic. Me: "Oh dear, oh dear, Ooooh Dear. He did it again."
Thomas did it again. He keeps amazing me with every piece he creates. How can one artist reach such a perfection in his art? His songs are so moving. They make me cry. I have tears in my eyes, heart and soul. I want to be so humble, full of empathy every time I listen to one of his songs. I want to be a better person. Thomas gives people hope and through his songs, tell people they can face adversity and overcome obstacles to reach their goals. I will never stop thanking him for that.
In case someone is still wondering whose speech is heard at minute 01:01: It is taken from US President HARRY S. TRUMAN's speech “Address before the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People” Washington, DC (29th June 1947). The commission he created later provided the basis for several important domestic policy decisions by Truman to end racial segregation in the United States - including Executive Order 9981, which ended racial segregation in the American armed forces.
Maybe one day, I'll get fed up of saying this new release from Thomas is one of the best pieces of music he has ever made, but not this day. This new release from Thomas is one of the best pieces of music he had ever made.
The speech is from President Harry S. Truman's address to the NAACP on June 29, 1947. I think the message is that when we promote through our actions the ideals behind the American form of government, We are those beautiful people. When we don't promote the ideals of the American form of government we become ugly. The choice is entirely ours. Who do you want to be today?
Alžběta Hejná I try to be pretty selective of what I put on my playlist, but TSFH makes it so hard because Thomas Bergersen is just constantly raising the bar, which makes me want to put so many of his songs on my playlist, what I’m trying to say is that I try to be picky with what goes on my playlist, but it’s very hard to do this with TSFH because so many of Thomas Bergersen’s compositions are masterpieces in their own right. There’s no problem with this, it’s just the way it is with TSFH, it seems like other people feel the same way
I like how you have put the 2 tracks together and "We are one" and " Beautiful People" became "We Are One Beautiful People". I always thought the 2 names are entirely separate until I saw this.
I have my 12 year old son listening to TSFH now and he loves it! He also watched Lord of the rings for the 1st time last week and wants to watch it again! Turning into a legend 😁 ❤
I should like to talk to you briefly, about civil rights and human freedom. it is my deep conviction, that we have reached a turning point in the long history of our countries efforts to guarantee freedom and equality to all our citizens. our immediate task is to remove the last remnants of the barrier, which stand between millions of our citizens and their birth rights. there is no justifiable reason for discrimination because of ancestry, or religion, or race, or color.
ant sot I think he said this in reaction to a ‘Not Guilty’ verdict after a Civil Rights violation trial: a black man was brutally beaten and his eyes gouged out. The local prosecutor refused to file criminal charges against the accused, so the Federal Government filed a Federal Suite. The all white jury refused to convict the accused. Truman was shocked. I think he also desegregated the Armed Services afterwards in response.
How much propaganda do you consume and have you been consuming on a daily basis to write that, that shall be my question. Birth rights, millions of citizens, freedom; you're living in an immense bubble which will burst at some point, once you discover actual history, real ethics, biology, and become capable of proper reasoning.
One of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard and for more than one reason. Ultimately because it reminds me of the very thing that should be at the heart of all of us - humanity.
