Really honest and open interview, most musicians keep strange stories to themselves... I heard about the golf cart, VH used them on tour to get from dressing rooms to stage area. Top man Thomas 🤓

I still listen to the extended version of "One of Our Submarines". A great sounding song. I wore out that EP back in the day.

Wow, who knew ? As a Brit, I remember Dolby as this weird guy playing synths in the mid '80s and the video 'She blinded me with science' was played everywhere. Seems a switched on clever guy and his discography is really good.

#1. No breathing into the mic next time! 🤣🤣🤣#2. I'm not sure if I believe all of these stories 100%. I truly can't hear Eddie saying "I'm the best R&R guitarist on the planet!" unless he was joking around. 🙅‍♀

I agree....I doubt EVH would ever say that about himself. I did buy this cd when it came out; was cool to hear Eddie on other tracks.

@@joex9865no he wasn’t. He was humble. He knew he was good but didn’t go ‘round bragging. He was a shy person for one. And if he did say it he was probably joking. That’s the shit that would come out of a losers mouth like Clapton.

I could totally hear him say that, in a joking way, but also with a some self-confidence behind it too.

@joex9865 Not sure I agree, watch the interview with Kurt Loder. Eddie was a pretty humble guy all things considered.

Eddie and Valerie got together in ~1980. Irvine Meadows Amphitheater didn't open until 9-18-81 (Tom Petty & THB). I can't find VH playing a show there until 1995. They played San Diego on 10-12-80. Maybe that was where the trailer was.
