I feel sad whenever i see partey compilations because we have never doubted his skills and abilities but his injuries have been so so so frustrating. He was the star signing who could be legend here. If he played even 5 games more last season maybe we could have won pl. I think coming summer arteta is going to sell him and its understandable on mikels part. He has to be ruthless. He is one of the 'what cud have been' stories. One thing i am still looking forward to is him at least being fit for rest of the season that we have and help us in the title race. If we win i would be a good story to have. Partey pls come back soon and show ur magic

Declan Rice is a good player, but he’ll never in his life be able to replace what Partey brings in terms of control and breaking the press with Cruyff-turns etc. The view that Rice was a replacement for Partey had to be wrong - Rice is a new role that the squad didn’t have before. Similarly I think Havertz is mainly a Xhaka replacement not a Jesus back-up.

He was the reason we competed last season. Rice is the reason we competed this season. I knew 3 years ago if you added Rice next to him (and he was fit) arguably could be the best CM partnership in world football rn. Shame he's been injured again. Despite his injury problems and his age we aren't getting better than him even if it makes sense to sell him in the summer. We can get a younger, more available quality CDM but wont be as good as a fit Partey that's for sure
