Honestly, a great follow up to The Flying Kipper and Thomas and Terence! It shows that a simple story like this can be the best one! Feels straight out of Series 1 and probably one of Jordan's best works!
I like how Thomas grows during this time. The Flying Kipper accident and his own mishap in the snow make him wiser and more careful. I also like how he's still learning about balance when he becomes so cautious even Annie and Clarabel call him out on it!
The story works well taking place after the events of The Flying Kipper, I’m just surprised that nobody thought to drop sand on the rails to make Thomas grip them better.
