Thompson Center Encore Accuracy Tip #2 (Mounting A Scope) 

#2 in a series of videos covering things you can do to enhance the accuracy of the Encore. The fact that the scope is mounted to the barrel with contact only at the rear of the base can be problematic especially with heavy recoiling cartridges. Bedding the base to the barrel will eliminate the flexing which is common with the aluminum Weaver style bases. Steel bases made by Leupold and Warne can benefit from bedding as well. Tip #3 will cover headspace issues.
