Cal Fire says no containment has been reported yet as of Wednesday morning. It's unknown how many homes have been destroyed, but the path of destruction is becoming clear.
I agree that this reporter was one of the best I have watched at reporting on not only the damage, but what may have saved other homes nearby. Very professional, a great asset to this TV station.
I live in Oroville. This fire was frightening, and I kept having flashbacks of the Camp Fire. May we never have a nightmare like that again! But this Thompson Fire has us on standby. It’s not over yet, there is no containment yet. But I would like to thank all of our firefighters, aerial crews, law enforcement, and everyone else who is working so hard to contain this fire. There are also lots of other people helping - food, shelter, and so many other services being provided to people who are displaced by this fire ! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!! God Bless You All❣️
Make sure if you live in the country you buy the old copper sprinkler system that jets put and not the plastic bobbbers that pop up. Solid copper sprinkler heads attached to a 6" metal pole in the ground. That will protect your defensive space around your house. Also intumecent paint for your home. It's not fire proof but will act as a barrier to your house.
The only reason I know Oroville is because they declared themselves a sanctuary city during the cooties outbreak - sanctuary from government tyranny. Lahaina residents refused to sell their properties to the government. Coincidence, right? Asking for a friend...
Never understand….when you get advance notice of fire or whatever and continue to stay or bug out at last minute without taking cars, etc is beyond me?
We just accept that wood and leaves do not burn but the house is totally torched. People are delusional. It is really sad to see people just follow the narrative.
@@kevintaylor4913 hey delusional...the fire started at a dope dealers camp across the river from me and I stood outside and watched the fire blow east with the wind and miss my house by less than 500 yards....it was a windy day yesterday and will be today... I don't remember seeing any rays from your delusional DEW....oh is that what the D stands for Delusional....oh I get it now Delusional Everybody Went...DEW ..gotcha ...pull your head out of your arse....
Oroville, in and around town and out from town a ways, has had some kind of a fire every day, sometimes 2 a day since the first day of what could be called fire season. Well before the heat kicked in. It was like that last year, the year before, and the years before that. What ever goes on over there involves regular fires.
@@user-xh8ii2hj6rthx.. that was my point.. (but the dolts in media and political hacks will rant “climate change”!!!!! They’re even catching freeways on fire here in Ca. Thx again
