"Doctor! Doctor!" is a 1984 song by the British New Wave band the Thompson Twins. Written by Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie, and Joe Leeway, the song was produced by Alex Sadkin, and the group's lead vocalist Tom Bailey. The second single of their fourth studio album, Into The Gap, the song was yet another worldwide hit for the group, reaching #3 in the United Kingdom and #11 in the United States in July 1984. The song also peaked at #18 on the US Dance chart in the same year.

I was 11 in 84' but, I learnt how to make love, before i could walk. i grew up on the east coast .. beantown(in the city Southie) and I remember hooking up with girls to this song. At my friends house! I wish the 1980's could be an option in life.. to live inthe 80's forever! lol

Brianna Watt I’m not sure where Mackenzie grew up, but we weren’t buying vinyl back then. If we found records somewhere, we’d go into the woods & fling them really hard like frisbees & watch them smash into trees!!! But I agree w the rest, taping a song off the radio made me laugh because we’d only be able to get the last half of a song unless u knew it was coming up like on ea Sunday some dude Casey Casum would play the Top 40 Songs & back then it was kind of a big deal, who was #1. I RLY agree w U abt the music, 70s Soft Rock & some disco was probably the BEST X 4 music, u were born the same year as my daughter & when I read your 2d line, I thought it was her!! Funny how it goes, we didn’t know then how great the time was BUT NOW we do!!! If I could give my daughter 1 gift I’d build a time machine out of my car & beam her back into the 80s too, but if that happened, I’d need to find some scientist Doc to get her back to the future in 2020 & then I’d be Marty McFly!!! Rock on & don’t blast your Rap too loud, I’ll bet your parents hate every swear in those songs too!! Haha

Had this on a top hits mixed cassette tape with Ghostbusters and Footloose themes, and wore it out as a young kid playing it over and over when my parents and I went on a road trip to the Tyrell Museum of Palientology in Alberta. I was 6 or 7 years old. Great memories set to a great soundtrack.

One of the best albums of my growing up in the 80's being "Into The Gap". Thompson Twins were one of the first bands that I got into. I loved the 12 inch extended remixes they would put out alongside their albums..way ahead of their time there. I guess we can get this song on a "self isolation" shutdown playlist now?!.

Pretty sick song, alot of cool talent came out around that time like Micheal Jackson. Music will never be like this again not in our life time. We didn't know we were living in the 80s until the aweful music today.
