After testing this laser with my new LPM, I got a reading of 2.8 watts in high-power mode. A little bit under spec, but I’m still very pleased with the power output!
I got the 1.5W model from different manufacturer and seller for $65. It looks very similar with this one but mine is better. Mine has more focused dot, real safety key, better focusing mechanism, internal charger and dedicated switch for modes. The rest are pretty much the same.
Sanwu is still my favorite manufacturer of lasers, but Jet Lasers and Thor are also excellent from the reviews I see over at LPF. Thor seems to sell Jet Lasers hosts.
XM360 Hey just in regards to the laser dot being larger than hoped for in your video. I found with the THOR M2 that if I twist the focus feature so its tight then screw or unscrew the lens with a flat head screw driver slightly depending on the how big I want to dot to be I can fix the focus smaller to what it should be if you cant by twisting the focus feature! The lens may not have been screwed to the correct spot. Just make sure you take the batteries out each to you screw the lens though just in case!! Let me know if that works. Cheers!
Sorry I know this is an older video but I just ordered the thor h2 recently and someone from Laser pointer store told me that I can use 2-18650 batteries instead of 2-26650. I just can’t seem to find 26650 in a store nearby and I’ll order online if I have to but I’m wondering if that’s true because I already have 18650s at home. I’d appreciate if you can reply, thanks.
Alex Robertson what kind of driver did you go with for that diode to achieve 6 to 7w? Just curious because I just did a build with a much smaller diode 2-2.5w.
Justin Fry a blackbuck 6 driver at 4.5 amps makes an average of 6.8 watts for an nubm44. If you buy a nubm44 with a driver from DTR's shop, thats what will be inside. Also i would reccomend a g2 lens which he offers along side the diode
Hey, i just bought the thor m 2, but the star caps are the wrong size and they dont fit or mount onto the laser in any way, shape, or form. They arent the small silver ones like you got, they are full on attachments and they dont fit the threads. I contacted the laserpointer.com store and hope for a reply. I hope im just not an idiot and somehow doing it wrong, any help.??
I've been debating on purchasing this one or the Sanwu Challenger II 3W. I own a Sanwu pocket laser and I love it, but I just want one above 1W. I hate that love features of both. I love the stainless steal, I love how I could put the Challenger inside my pocket, and I trust Sanwu. Now onto the Thor, I love the appearance of the old school "Wicked Lasers," I love the safety switch, and the price is nearly half. I know there's a saying of "you get what you pay for" but this review makes it look promising and I don't fully trust laserpointerstore tbh. Any advice?
i like this laser. nice review! if i didnt already have the thor 2 i would grab this. I'm not sure i need more power as it burns anything you point it at lol i think id like a different color instead.

i believe and some one correct or add to this....... that noise in an ultrasonic hum caused by the protons from the beam burning the air kinda the same way lightning does but this is just continuous and on a much smaller scale kinda like uv air cleaning
My model has the charger built in to the unit.And i think it's the 3 watt .Ask if the 3 watt has the built in charger ?.And thanks for the video ,I didn't know what model I had till I saw you vid,good job man I subscribed 👍
I can get the 1.6W model that is super strong and unsafe but for $129 3W $159 THATS NOT TO EXPENSIVE AT ALL that's good I like 520nm 1W you should get the next Thor h2 1W 520nm I have not seen you with any 1W green lasers
XM360 I know why your laser is making noises when you move it around it's pulsed meaning it strobes very very fast. My 3W heavy duty cross style laser has made that high pitch sound before because of that but I think when it was making noises is because your laser was on low power mode
Awesome review. Did you order any other models from them to review? I ordered their Thor Ultra 5W last week since it wasn't a whole lot more than the 5W version of the H2.
io li ho presi sia il 3000 mw ed anche il 5000 mw e li ho messi a confronto e devo dire che la luminosità non è come nel video che si vede il bianco in mezzo mà solo blu e basta inoltre la differenza di luminosità a occhio nudo trà i due è uguale
