Thor M2 1W 445nm / 450nm Blue Burning Laser Pointer Review 

Thanks to your review I bought myself one of these and it arrived yesterday. This laser is seriously not to be messed with. I used it once but now I'm keeping it away until I have proper safety glasses for myself and a few extras just in case

I just got mine 2 days ago and all I can say is it does sooo much more than I was expecting. I have already gone through at least 200 balloons 20 or even 30 bottle caps. great laser for the money. thanks for the video it saved me from buying a more expensive laser.

In my opinion, if you’re being careful and responsible using it, you shouldn’t have to worry about people calling the police. Use it all night long if you like, as long as you’re not hurting anyone, or keeping your neighbours up.

So finally i got mine yesterday. I ordered the 3000mW version from laserpointerstrore. That thing burns like hell! The build quality is great for the money! Only the battery housing is a little bit too wide. The batteries arent really snug inside, so i grinded 0.5mm from the back cap. And in comparison to my gatling style blue laser, the beam is not so consistand. Up to 5m it´s ok, from there the beam really spreads and you can see more like a line than a dot. I hope the beam expander will fix that.

thanks for the video+1 and the responsible approach, anyway some things that could help, is if you could classified the specs your optaining on these lasers..(some of the info would need you to unscrew some of the parts, but most of these is all plug and play true screwing-parts, so easy to put back together. like. * mW (LDs effect) (needs an LPM meter) *current draw.(amp) (just plug an DMM on apm setting when bottom is of) *voltage from driver to LD. *Driver info. *Laser diode model.. amongst these cheap china knock off, it mostly the same parts that surface on different models, and the same 445/450nm LD that are present in this class of handheld 445/450nm pointers 1 to 1.5w. Just a tip for anyone who wants to burn stuff and catch stuff on fire quicker, if you unfocus the laser a bit until near the tip of the laser the point gets really thin and you burn stuff a lot faster that way than making in a dot. I have burned through plastic in seconds and fought boxes in fire in seconds as well

Just got this laser in the mail and I definitely recommend, it won’t disappoint, if you’re getting the $55 one you’ll have to buy you’re own batteries since it doesn’t come with any, and I definitely recommend safety goggles, I lifted up my goggles to look at the dot for just a fraction of a second and I immediately put them back on, this thing will blind you for sure, even the diffused light can blind you (basically the light that reflects off a “non reflective” surface, such as a white wall) So if you have your safety goggles off and your facing away from the dot, that can blind you if you look at it enough. Proper laser safety goggles are a must and I recommend eagle pair 1700-800nm&540-190nm OD5, you must wear them at all times, lifting them up to look at the visible beam for a few seconds is fine, just make sure you prevent yourself from viewing the dot, keep the goggles low enough that it covers it. This thing is pretty fun and it definitely lights matches (I tried it with *white* tip matches and they lit), you’ll get used to the fact you can’t see the color through your goggles, and I recommend recording yourself using it (that’s what I like to do). I also noticed that when you have the focus screwed all the way in it’s not a perfect dot, so I recommend you have it set on that focus to minimize he risk of you burning something, unless you’re actually burning something. This is my favorite laser now along with my green 303, I recommend for a 1st 1w laser.

Did the sellers you left in the description come with a glass lens and metal housing? I heard complaints of the lens melting because it was made out of cheaper materials

Got this laser in the mail on Saturday morning and absolutely love it so far. I have another blue laser, but ended up damaging the lense cause I accidentally dropped it. But this Thor M2 is awesome so far.... Then ended up seeing a centipede tonight and decided to zap it lol

I don't know if you still check this post or not but if you do could you answer me a question I just bought the Thor M2 laser and it said that it was 1.3 watts but now after I've purchased they say that there's a 3-watt version it looks exactly the same is there any difference between this one and the one that you're showing ?

Hey!. I just got this laser in the ail. and I noticed after about 30 minutes of constant use (yes i let it cool down) it was bright for about 1 second of turning it on an then it dims. Is it the battery? Also, what does it mean if the charger is switching between green and red?

My new Thor M 2 ( from Ayobox ) has a faulty on/off tail switch. Have you done a tear down with this one yet? I need to repair mine.

It's a little on the bulky side do they make a smaller version for backpackers for starting campfires.

I don't like huge lasers either. I like them around the size of a one cell 18650 flashlight. With that said, will a single 18650 work in that?

There are yellow lasers too but I would be willing to wait for the price to come down. They are still ridiculously expensive for what they are.

Mine finally came and I have to say I'm extremely impressed. I ordered the $50 version (just the Thor by itself) and they threw in batteries and a charger! ordered on Saturday... got here on Thursday. Very pleased with the overall laser and shipping speeds :) XM360 what's the best affordable green laser over 500mw on the market? wavelength doesn't really matter I just want a stronger/ more visible green than my 303. All three links are sold out is there another link you know of. Also you say they put the power lower than it really is but is it still legal to use. If it's still legal I don't see why they put a lower power on the sticker

I ordered mine from laserpointerstore and it didn’t come with the instructions but it is an amazing laser with great power that i would recommend to anyone looking for a powerful laser. I actually prefer this laser over the spyder 3 since its actually on spec and its much cheaper in price
