It probably is Olympus, but it would be cool if it was a city that housed other religions or gods. I can see the box seats being for the godheads or selected leaders like the Senate in Star Wars.

@@kevin4680 But there is no Olympia (in the MCU (according to Arishem)) also, I think it would be pretty appropriate for this council/senate thing to be centered in Olympus because, as us history nerds know, Athens was the birthplace of democracy and, later down the line, Rome had a senate, so these Greek/Roman gods hosting the council is appropriate (they could even mention that it was Athena's idea (Athena being the patron goddess of Athens))

Small correction: The MCU timeline has Bashenga meeting Bast in 8000 BC, about 2000 years after Wakandans first encountered Vibranium.

You'd think Egyptian and Wakandan cultures can never be linked to each other because of how different they seem, but Egypt is a transcontinental country that partially lies in Africa and geographically close to the places that inspire Wakandan culture so its very much believable.

That is also because of most people threshold of intelligence and lack of knowledge about mythology in general. Many gods outside the Ennead are found from surrounding areas are included in Egypt. For example Tarawet is and Oshuri from lower egypt... or even how Thoth and Hermes were linked like Isis and Hecatate in Alexandrian culture. It is said though that Africas other regions history was not as widely kept thanks too Christianity.

Additionally, the people of Wakanda speak a fictional 'Bantu' language, inspired by isiXhosa language of southAfrica in the MCU. This is intriguing, because there are many books and resources correlating Bantu languages, to that language of the Remetch of Ancient Egypt. @3:30 for example, the "Aaru" or "Aarwa" (Remetch word for after reeds). "Rubingo" means reeds in the Rwandan Bantu language . And "Ruwa" means field of flowers in the Shona Bantu language. In other words, Bantu languages and Ancient Egyptian language were hypothetically classified as west African and Afroasiatic respectively, however they may have been related ancestrally. Rather than originating in west Africa, It is now widely suggested that Bantu cultures and languages may have originated else where as the lack evidence suggests ( the holocene 'green Sahara' perhaps). This can be supported by the abundance of Saharan rock art (depicting wild life and people now commonly associated with Subsaharan geography). The discovery of the Saharan mummy, and sites like Nabta Playa solar calendar, and not to mention the Labombo bone of Eswatini (43,000 ybp), and the Ishango bone of Congo (20,000 ybp) are the oldest mathematical instruments and lunar calenders manufactured out of Baboon fibula. The latter seem to correlate with Aani, the baboon god of the moon and mathematics from KMT.

One explanation for the Shaman founding Wakanda 10,000 years ago and pre-dating Egyptian culture could be the ancient Atlantis tie-in with Namor. That’s a huge rivalry and it ties in other heroes and villains from that pre-history Hyborian era like Conan and Shuma-Gorath really well.

If you live on the other side of the planet it's barely gonna be in your feed but I do agree it's weird it hasn't been addressed yet. There's no one that can really sense the celestial's energy as it was emerging and now that it's been converted into stone it would be hard to detect it as anything abnormal unless you visit the place. Also I'm pretty sure they wiped the memories of anyone in the immediate area. I think it will be revisited in either Guardians of the galaxy or Blade since Sersi's love interest is involved in the dark vampire-y part of the MCU

@@Naomi-xu4hq but there aren't tho. The only thing that happened was the earth quakes but other than that, the Eternals stopped anything crazy from happening. With transmutation as a power Sersi basically made that celestial no different from a mountain which the earth has a lot of without falling apart in anyway. The scaling in the movie is very inconsistent but seeing as how most of the time the celestial is scaled as being comparable to the remote island they're on, it's barely the size of a country. When Ikarus flies to the sun and looks back on Sersi from space and that celestial isn't even visible.

I think you're onto something with the gathering of the deities. It's almost like a UN General Assembly of the various Pantheons in the Universe. Something derived from the Council of Godheads or Skyfathers in the comics

Wait does Marvel pronounce it differently? Cause I learned that with Egyptian languages, the -t would normally be dropped to say Bas, but the -et was an indicator to pronounce the first -t, making Bastet be pronounced as Bast. Also more commonly it is depicted that Sekhmet and Bastet are sisters. Either that or they are the same Goddess in different forms.

How's the Celestials of the MCU plays into this? Do they simply ignore these lesser(compared to a Celestial) gods? or these pantheons have some sort of role in the Celestials plans? We have seen the world forge in Eternals and how Celestials can easily create super synthetic beings that can match these pantheon gods and Thanos himself(Which he was a Eternal/Deviant) capable of being conscious and empathetic just like real conscious beings, So hierarchy should put The Celestials above all these pantheons right? which Celestials are literally* creating stars and higher life forms. Even X-Men got their powers from a Celestial that died on earth.

In the comics Zeus , Odin and all the other Gods had one hundred thousand years to prepare for their battle with a Celestial so they planned and pooled their resources all of that time and when the Celestial arrived on earth to judge earth they couldn't even hurt it. It ended with the God's literally bowing down to the Celestial in fear because it threatened to destroy their various means of getting to earth.

I think the celestials are generally more powerful and see the gods as ants. But then again im pretty sure thor has a celestial kill feat or 2? So they're not completely invincible
