As old as Thor is, he has a man-child naiveté about him and it's endearing even in the comics, but Chris Hemsworth just nails it. But when he's in battle mode, he's a completely different person. Reminds me of Goku alot.

That's most likely their Jane Foster rather than a variant. As Odin said, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." She's able to access his powers through being worthy, as was the case in the comics too.

*This puts a smile on my face* Honestly, I like the vibes I'm getting. Going towards the path of healing and acceptance. Not just for Thor but also Valkyrie (dealing with ruling New Asgard and the things she also went through) and Jane (especially Jane from what I heard from the comic fans, she got *spoilers* and this is definitely not a subject where you should make a movie with infinite jokes and cool action scenes and from the looks of it, there are jokes but not as much as in Thor: Ragnarok.) I hope the movie handles the dark and mature themes very good. I'm like Thor, I didn't lose any close family members like him (not since 10 years ago thank God) but I have been stuck on depression and PTSD, where one cannot do the things they want because something always holdes them back, whether depression, lack of interest (which means most of the time) and just trying to run away from life's problems and to me it seems that this movie is trying to show the audience how the characters are going to overcome that and win this dark abyss that sucks your soul of joy and health. I'm definitely gonna cry when I watch this movie -_-

This is what I love and am really excited for the movie. During endgame Thor was really depressed and some didn’t really understand. This is him finally coming one with himself again knowing he’s lost everyone he loved. It’s him wanting to be something different

Given that it's clearly a repaired Mjölnir, I strongly suspect that Jane somehow retrieved the broken pieces from Norway or wherever it was that Odin was hanging out when Hela first appeared, and put it back together somehow. I don't think it's a variant at all, which I'm glad for because I don't want every Marvel movie to be about the multiverse.

I like how they have released just a teaser, which feels like a teaser and the main details and the trailer is kept for the last especially the gorr reveal which they will probably release after Doctor Strange 2 and they have released this one here to keep the hype up a bit and keep it going before revealing the big bad later as a final trailer. In comics Jane Foster has cancer and after Thor became unworthy his hammer is left on moon. So basically whenever there are people needing help mjolnir goes to Jane Foster in hospital and she becomes mighty thor. But after the use of mjolnir she comes back to hospital and gets cancer again plus cancer gets worse every time she becomes Thor. So she decreases her lifespan everytime she becomes Thor which is the reason she is worthy! (She can control mjolnir's direction even after throwing cause' her power source is mjolnir unlike Thor who don't need mjolnir he is a power source himself.) In MCU Jane may get a cancer after the events of Thor the dark world and that's why she breakup with Thor to not to feel sad.

Or it could be that he comes back to Earth and she's somehow taken up the mantle which probably won't sit well with him. It's hard to imagine they'd go that dark with Jane.

@@RichardStrong86 yeah I agree it is hard to imagine that dark but taika waititi can pull it off. If we consider Thor Ragnarok on paper it had Thor's father dying, Thor's hammer breaking, Thor's all friends dying, hella murdering significant amount of people on Asgard and destruction of Asgard seems very very Dark. But taika waititi made it in a way that it's the funniest MCU movie. This teaser has all the good & innocent aspects and most likely only 10-15 mins of the movie. This will be the darkest Thor movie ever like Jane Foster's cancer arc (probably not), deaths of many many gods, Thor will became unworthy (probably), introduction of the gorr the GOD BUTCHER.
