During filming of scene when Thor realizes he’s fighting the hulk. There was a child on set from make a wish foundation. Chris Helmsworth asked him what Thor should say. Kid came up with line “I know him, we’re friends from work”. That’s so awesome.

Hemsworth is just a fun-loving actor. Really just loves all his roles, and is not afraid to listen to fans, even if their wants and desires seem silly. In fact, if anything, the stupider the idea sounds, the more into the idea he is! Guy just thinks with the "left side" of his brain, and he's not shy about that. That's why Hemsworth is likely the best part of the Avengers' cast.

Yeah, that's how it is in the original Norse mythology. The wolf with Hela, Fenris is also based on Loki's son in Norse mythology, Fenrir.

Potato of Death he is! I’m so happy I already know he’ll do justice to Thor again! Hopefully, they’ll explore Thor’s depression a bit more, because in endgame it was just use as comedy relief and nothing more. But can you believe they got Natalie Portman back to play as female Thor? So excited for the goddess of Thunder, and the mcu is revealing its first LGBTQ+ warrior as Valkyrie! I haven’t seen if they revealed the official full cast yet but I think they we could end up seeing some Loki, for his series as well.

Banner said before (I think when he was played by Edward Norton) that he tried to end it all but the other guy (Hulk) spit out the bullet. I don't think Banner can die very easily.

Yeah I think he shot himself at the end of one issue and then you had to wait til the next issue to see the first page of Hulk spitting out the bullet (that's what I heard anyway)

There is footage of it, actually. It was originally in the very beginning of Norton’s Incredible Hulk film. Hitched a ride out to nowhere in Canada, hiked forever to the end of a glacier. You can see it in the deleted scenes on the blu-ray. Opening a comic book film with a suicide attempt probably wasn’t going to go over well with audiences.

The Banner jumping and falling w/o becoming hulk is an omage to the climatic scene from The Incredible Hulk when The original actor jumped out of the helicopter over New York and he opened his eyes but instead of being green theywere normal and banner screams "Oh shit!!!!!!!" impacts the ground making a crater and the Hulk climbs out.

Something about this movie reminded me of the old Flash Gordon film from the early 80s. The weirdness, unusual costumes, *subtly humourous script* and campy aliens made this one of the best Marvel movies out there. Would love to see more of the revengers...

Lol, I didn't forget that. I thought they somehow bring him back for that, but this was the first time we see Banner in human form actually die.. so I wasn't 'clear' on the Hulk rules. I know he's invincible (or close to it) as the Hulk and once mentioned Banner tried to end his life, but the Hulk spit out the bullet made me think he always turned into the Hulk right before he could kill himself, not after ;)

Remember, the movies aren't the only parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are TV shows that share continuity with the movies like Agents of Shield, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Agent Carter, The Punisher, Runaways, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. (Skip Inhumans, it was a colossal flop)

There will always be a few things I wish we’d seen or heard more of in the MCU. Arc Reaktor and Driving With the Top Down. Beast Hulk in Infinity War and Endgame. Beautiful Asgard/Thor/Heimdall at the height of their glory like Thor 1. A few others. But more I think than anything else, I wish we’d seen more of Thor without a weapon. Because by the gods, that was just badass and incredible. He was so damn cool at the end of this, so much more than with Stormbreaker. Plus, there’s the fact that he has his awakening of “Wow, I’m the god of thunder, I don’t need a weapon to be all powerful” then immediately has to go through all kinds of grief in the next movie to get a weapon.

10:05 Fun Fact: unknown to some people, Hulk actually has regenerative abilities. So that's why when Bruce is back, he isn't a crumpled mess of a ruined body after every hit.

Hulk/Banner's fall to the bridge is a callback to The Incredible Hulk. Banner did something very similar and they played it off in such a way you didn't know whether he survived the fall. Here they purposefully showed Banner not making it for the laughs and then doing the Transformation after. I thought it was a hilarious callback in this movie of a previously used sacrifice jump to bring out the Hulk and just added a level of dark comedy you don't usually see in Marvel.

If you love this movie you should really look up the director Taika Waititi's other movies and maybe to a reaction to them. "What we do in the Shadows" is one of my favorite movies ever. Fun fact the director did the voice and motion capture for Korg the big rock alien.

Fun facts: I don't know if any of you ladies watch WestWorld, but 3 of the actors from that show are acting in this movie together: Anthony Hopkins, Tessa Thompson as The Valkyrie (they never gave her version a name, which I find insulting because she was amazing as the character) and Luke Hemsworth as the fake Thor in the theatrical play they put on in Asgard. I was like, "Did they all take a plane together as soon as shooting season for their show wrapped up or what?" I loved, loved, loved the chemistry between The Valkyrie and Thor. I understand the Blu-ray has cut scenes that contained them having a romantic moment. I wish they would have left it in, although you could tell there was something there between them, even without the extra scenes. I liked that even as he was dying, Odin felt no angry or hatred for Loki. I wanted to see them fight before Hela showed up. Loki is by nature a frost giant, but a runt that was left for dead. Frigga shared her witch power with him so he wouldn't feel so useless and have a complexity about not being a god. Odin used his powers to cloak his blue skin, and made him more humanoid looking. Still, he would be no match for Thor's rage because he looked like he was ready to explode and open a can of whoopass on Loki. Loki would have to be quicker than usual to out scheme his way from him. Cate Blanchett owned that role. She's brilliant in everything she does. If Meryl Streep were British, she'd be Cate Blanchet. Lol. 😂 They should do a drama together. Omg! That would be amazing.

In Norse mythology, Hela and Fenris were two of Loki’s six children which had all been cast out from Asgard and sent to different realms. Sleipnir, an eight legged horse, was forced to become Odin’s war steed. Jörmungandr, a serpent large enough to wrap around our planet several times, was cast into the oceans of Midgard (Earth). Hela, a girl born half dead, was sent to Helheim - which is also just referred to as “Hel” - in an attempt to kill her the rest of the way, though she became the queen instead. Fenris was chained up in a cave on some far off realm with a sword impaled in his open mouth. However, it is the story of Nari and Váli that shows how truly demented the Gods were in regard to Loki’s children. Váli was transformed into a wolf and forced to maul his brother, Nari, to death. Loki was later bound by his son’s entrails and tortured. And people wonder why he’s so angry all the time ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The thing about Hulk is that it’s quite difficult for him to die. Bruce tried to kill himself but it never works out

I loved this reaction. Fun fact, the guy that played rock man Korg, was actually played by the Director. Looking forward to the Harry Potter reaction and I hope you do LOTR soon too, as I adore those films.

Well in the comics all of Asgard ends up hovering over Kansas so it makes sense they go to earth, comics-wise

Thor is the series that completely changed genres. It started out as an action movie, then it became a kind of quasi high drama, then it became an outright comedy. Although I think Ragnarok is by far the best of the trilogy.

Chris seems to love playing this side of Thor. You can see how akward it all was during Thor 1 (also his hair was weird), but I'm glad he's found his footing and I'd love to see where they take Thor now that the Avengers are pretty much disbanded. And even though there were hints of Loki and Thor's relationship during the first two films, this is the one that seems to care about it the most, same with Odin. Sadly we had to wait until Endgame for Renee Russo to have an actual character.

Banner doesn’t die. My guess is when they run into Thanos’ ship at the end credits, Thanos tosses hulk out he lands on earth in the sanctuary in front of doctor strange, which we see at the beginning of the first infinity war trailer, in which he is turned back into Bruce. LOVED this movie :D
