I don't have all the context, but it's really funny to see Iron Man trying to force Thor to work for the american government. He's a freaking god, man !!

One of my favorite comics. I dont own many thor comics but i own this one

thor never go full god mode with mortal, even with the hulk, hes holding back and rather take a beat down than fighting them. in here, if he really STOPS holding back, 1 hammer swing and tony is dead but no, he morale wont let him do it.

I really like it when the comics acknowledge Thor is a genuine bonafide god.

So powerful and nuanced. Mcu could have easily had him gone down this road after ragnarok but instead they made him a comical relief and just stripping him of progress. What a waste of both actor and character.

Thor in comics: Feels and is responsible for Asgardians. Powerful af. MCU Thor: Leaves his own people to a drunk valkyrie. Clown.

Tony has a bad habit of biting off more than he can chew. He did it with the Hulk when he faced him with the first Hulkbuster armor. Tony got his ass handed to him.

In the comics: Thor stops holding back MCU: gets a beatdown repeatedly and never get gets to base comic level.

It's my own opinion that with the exception of Thor's second "Is it?", he keeps a calm and civil tone while speaking tae Tony, dropping tae a terrifying whisper as he makes it clear how furious he is with Tony and the US Government.

Oddly enough, throughout the first few Iron man movies, Tony did not want to work with the government which is very present in Iron Man 2. It wasn't until the Avengers, Tony finally sided with the government.

I loved this sequence just for seeing Tony being held to account for all that happened during Civil War.

Finally a Thor issue that gives him face. I'm so happy I saw this.

I LOVED this Thor story and this entire series. Finally another hero puts super-arrogant Tony Stark in his place!! You don't order around the god of Thunder, dude! And I think Thor went easy on him truly. He and Reed Richards actually used stolen genetic material from Thor to create a Thor Frankenstein and use against other heroes, most of them friends of Thor's. I was disappointed Thor didn't treat Richards to a similar beating. And shame on later writers totally glossing over this riff between Stark and Thor.....would have made interesting conflict in the Avengers team.

The sheer size difference between Ezra and Thor is intense. Hemsworth is definitely a big dude, but people just don't comprehend how friggin huge Thor is. He's like prime Shaquille O'Neal sized...lol

I like how Tony really thought he could order Thor around and I loved how reminded him who he was talking too

"no man should have to carry the sadness and burden of the gods". Damn. I teared up! Grief really is an immense burden, completely subjective. No two carry it the same way, nor do we carry it the same amount if that makes sense. If we hold on to it, it becomes a poison in our veins. Compassion, guys. We really need to be more compassionate towards each other.😢

Since Civil War, Tony Stark has been a bonafide A-Hole in Marvel Comics.

Great follow up to thors story after the Ragnarok storyline. Thor is just not bothered by holding back against anyone. This Thor in my opinion was a God, with no people and nothing to lose.

Thor is the son of a Sky-Father/Odin and Elder goddess/Gaia... He draws strength from the Heavens and Earth(Antaes) so the world is like tissue paper if he uses his full strength!

I miss the time when Marvel respected Thor...

Always hated how people keep blaming people like banner, Pym and Wanda for their misdeeds even if they were caused by things beyond their control such as chaotic magic, bipolar disorder and the hulk rage but people kinda forget that tony is basically the worst. Civil wars, weapon dealer, fascist.

To be honest most of super heroes trouble comes from theme being too kind 😏😒

Only problem with this review was the Death of Doctor BILL FOSTER was not mentioned at all.

Marvel movies when thor vs tony was a joke ,thor would have demolished that iron suit ! Just like the hulk would have ! Thor is a god !nice to see it play out as such!

iirc thor also had the odin-force during this time in addition to his own powers which made him more powerful than ever. that aside, tony's regular armor is still no match for a normal thor that isn't holding back. tony made a thorbuster armor but still lost to odin-force thor.

I like how we have all these "x character stops holding back storylines" but if that was true, I'm pretty sure you would've stopped holding back before you got killed.

Imagine the MCU doing this scene. Thor would be joking around, cracking banter and acting like a jerk. Marvel what did you do to Thor??

this should've been in the civil war movie instead of it being winter soldier centered, not that The Ghost isnt totally badass and awesome of course. But not giving any explanation for why Thor and Hulk are just, not on the planet, was silly. Later Chris Hemsworth did some shorts to sort of explain this and basically said no one called them, at least they tried to give a reason. This scene would've been great to show Thor as someone serious, and powerful. But instead Marvel is obsessed with making all male characters a fucking joke and only the female characters get to be total badasses (Black widow, Scarlet Witch, Gamora, literally all the females.) They easily could've shown a badass side to Thor and still let him be the funny character in other scenes. Even now, with like, 4 Thor movies, he gets closer and closer to a breaking point, ney, i'd say he already hit a breaking point and is now a broken Thor. And STILL they make him the joke character. Marvel just has no respect at all for Thor, or their audience.

I read Marvel Comics in the 70's and 80's and let me tell you, Ironman's armor is a mess. The ugliest thing ever. Damn thing has a headlight.

A great first issue, a shame the rest of the series got progressively worse as it went on. Female Loki making absolutely no sense at all.

Stark during all this was so annoying and he always tried to turn it around somehow to make it seem like the other people were wrong.

If this was MCU or directed by Taika Whatsisname, this would have some cringe bad humour after every page.

I hate it when comic book writers use recent real life tragedies in their works. When there is a universe where actual meta-humans and advanced technology exist and could have easily prevented the catastrophe but didn't, it makes it sinister and glaring.
