ofir beck a deleted scene (damn the movie makers) shows where Frigga is talking to Loki from her room, and Thor walks in, interrupting her talk with Loki. THAT is why she disappeared, but they made it look different in the final film.
ofir beck Xanxei I never understood why people thought he was making an illusion of her? The whole time I just assumed Frigga was projecting herself to Loki via magic. Which she was, I later discovered, but I just thought it was a given.
Azeran Warrens Odin said he would never see Frigga again. so it was already odd that in a short time she was already in his cell and conversing with him. Since Loki is a complex tragic anti-villain, it is safe to assume a more dramatic scenario in which the isolation caused Loki to make illusions for himself, and speak to those he shall never see again. This is akin to the lonely convicts in solitary that talk to themselves until their sub-conscience brings hidden depths from their psyche and is given a voice that the prisoner cannot control, which makes them face their own dichotomy and gives them new conflict to solve (in the form of a disappointed adoptive mother) The Irony in it is that the God of Mischief and trickery is locked away where the only person he can trick and torment is himself.

Loki had a bunch of kids... a good chunk of which he actually raised as children. You would probably be surprised how well he would do with a group of little ones. Better than most of the Avengers, I would bet. Of course, that would be Norse Mythology Loki, and I'm not sure how much he would compare to Marvel Loki. Just like Norse Mythology Thor and Odin are Grade A jerks in comparison to their Marvel counterparts.
Because believe it not .. all the really nice people have a dark streak a mile wide.. they are just so morally good that they never give in to it like normal people do from time to time. And acting is a great way to let the darkness out without hurting anyone.
