allow me to correct you. the original bible was written in aramaic. as that was the language spoken by those who actually took part in the events. interestingly, the oldest known translation of the bible is in fact in original Aramaic. The bible has been translated back and forth between a dozen or more languages for the past 2000 years. there is no way it was "Very faithfully translated" intention aside. that original aramaic copy has some pretty different meanings from the english version.

a fair correction but I'm left wondering what OT and NT mean in this context. now, all very well to reference, but reference out of context holds no meaning. I can't see what Romans 11:13 has to do with any of the conversation we're having. and given that our (presumably more skilled) modern translators have come out with quite different meanings in the original text. what does that say for the modern bible? I'm not a christian, though I've attended Christian youth groups. I'm agnostic

How did a perfectly good comedy send-up become a Religious slanging match? Thora was a good methodist and a very good person. Her faith was a great part of her life as it is mine & I don't understand how this comments page has become hijacked by a Christian Fundamentalist from the USA. Loosen up will ya - don;t take life far too seriously; you don;t get out of it alive!
