Love the song; I enjoyed it immediately last week when I first listened to. It surprised me actually, I knew them from you, obviously, and their latest album was super different. This Muse, Nothing but Thieves hit me so hard! I love this is new direction.
You boys are legends, always good laughs mixed with the reactions!!. These guys are on the up in the prog scene for sure, debut album was amazing considering how young they are.

I'm personally a bit disappointed in their new sound with this track... Always loved the really big, open, ambient sound they had and it's what made them one of my favorite bands of all time... Not saying it's a bad song...Just sad to see that sound I fell in love with not present in the new track. Here's to hoping (In my opinion) that this was an experiment for them leading up to the new album.
I agree completely. The big heavy ambient sound was what made me fall in love with this band. Almost like I've been craving that sound and finally found it. It's very hard for such a young band to cultivate a unique sound. I dont dislike this new track, but I think if they added new ideas to their already unique sound, it wouldnt have been dark pool 2, it wouldve been a more natural evolution. That being said, I'm still excited to hear some new tracks by them.
I have a feeling that the next album Thornhill puts out will have a good mix of this kind of experimentation shown in Casanova as well as building off of their sound from The Dark Pool. If that does end up being the case, I'm all for it because I love everything these guys have put out including this song.
Loved your reaction guys.. For me, this didn’t do it. Loathe/Currents/Thornhill were my top 3 but this song is just so weak… they had set the bar too high to go this route and sound better imo
