Thornton Township Trustee Chris Gonzalez speaks out against Supervisor Tiffany Henyard 

So he admitted that he didn’t know her background before he nominated her. That was so irresponsible of him as an elected official.

The trustees, including Chris Gonzalez, have miserably failed the Township.

Bro, the whole world knows why she wanted the food pantry on the referendum supervisor township! She has been trying to shut down Dr Scott's food pantry in Dolton. She is getting hammered for it and people are rallying around Dr Scott. You're welcome

Thank you Lansing Journal. The only thing Trustee Gonzalez said which I disagreed with was that he nominated Tiffany Henyard because she was young and a woman. I wonder how well he knew her, or if he had asked Stephanie Wiedeman about her.

Handing those informational packets 5 minutes before the vote tells me that Henyard is trying to slip something in there. I wouldn't vote for anything that Henyard brings forward...

Watching this unfold from California and it’s a sad fascinating story of a woman that could really do so much good but has lied, coerced, threatened and is just grifting her way right into jail eventually. Unfortunately it’s the fine citizens of the Thornton and Dolton who have to pay the bills and are having to persevere through this because this their home. 😖

The people should have been the ones to choose. So, i question if Gonzalez can make the right decisions. The problem is that she knew she was going to be appointed and i think a lot of village trustees knew already. Eo stop the lies.

No body looked up her background and the behavior is disrespectful like no other and the narcissistic personality. She is over the top of a narcissist.

I appreciate Trustee Gonzalez for his insistance on tranparency and integrity. I hope that going forward Trustee Gonzalez will demand receiving documentation at least 48 hours in advance, either via email or hand delivery. If he makes this request and continues to not get this information in a timely manner, he needs to document his request and the response of the Supervisor! I also hope that he subsequently thoroughly examines all measures, referendums, ordinances, etc. Then, publically assess his thoughts. Even if the public review is through some informal platform such as youtube.

Another person that failed to do their homework on Tiffany Henyard. The people of the Township were duped just like the village.

I truly pray for Dalton. I have been following the actions of the Mayor/Supervisor via the news & interviews & it’s troubling. I respect those of you who have morals & ask the important questions. Sooner than later the FBI & other entities will flood Dalton and I believe a whole lot of people may find themselves on the wrong side of the Law. They’re not answering questions now but sooner than later they won’t have a choice. Unfortunately, the many lawsuits from former & current employees not to mention the lawsuits to come could bankrupt Dalton. Something has to happen soon. I’m praying for an expeditious outcome. Having a political rival's house shot up 3. Firing the Police Chief 4. Locking the clerk out of her office 5. Refusing to allow the Council into government buildings 6. Closing down bars who refuse to support her 7. The lawsuits from local businesses 8. Refusal to release public records to the press 9. The Police cars being repossessed 10.Her being investigated by the FBI 11. Section 8 fraud 12. Her food truck failing health standards 13. Her skating rink 14. Cutting the future Mayor's salary 15. 50% interest rate she agreed to on her city vehicle 16. Putting barricades up to block the car show, and telling the police to tow any cars there in order to get people to her event. 17. Hiring a registered offender as an inspector, and knowing he would have to go into homes with children and single women. 18. Prohibiting business owners from renewing their business license. 19 Prohibiting that Sista with 85,000 square feet shopping centre with community programs to help single parents and the homeless. 20. Extorting business owners to contribute to her campaign fund and her events. 21. Having the 75 year old man arrested because of his differences of opinions 22. And Keith Freeman being her married boyfriend ... allegedly

I dont trust Gonzales one bit. He nominated Tiffany Henyard to be on the board. The board voted for her to be there because they thought they could control her. And when you look at Tiffany's resume, they had good reason to. She hadn't had real successful governmental leadership experience. She ran failed businesses and no experience leading any organization successfully. So they, including Gonzalez, thought that she would be too naive to lead the Township. Which means that they can control her. All of the people that was nominated for Township supervisor either was too powerful to control or they had experience running organizations but again they could not control. Thats why the appointments failed but with Tiffany's appointment, she succeeded. However, when Tiffany's ego got big, now all of a sudden, he wants her gone. No bro you can't have it both ways.

Your voice matters taxes payers need to know what’s going on with this lady Henyard over the Township

The salary issue is unconstitutional. Why hasn't the State's Attorney stepped in and filed a lawsuit to get this invalidated. Why possible justifies a $200,000+ salary for the Township Supervisor?

Does Supervisor Henyard face the same type of issues in the Township as she does in Dolton? Are there 'credit card' issues, phantom trips, or unauthorized purchases? Does the Township contribute to Henyard's 'security' costs?

I sure hope that he learned the lesson and never fuck up so hard 🤬

I wonder what Gonzales is doing to persuade at least one other trustee to join his efforts to make motions. At least one of those trustee needs to stop following Tiffany blindly. Otherwise the assumption is that they are all getting paid and if so they all need to get voted out. Gonzales also needs to give The Lansing Journal and other local newspapers tips on how to run for a trustee. Maybe the Lansing Journal can write a few articles for “sound minded” folks to get involved in this way. Thanks!

Not including you anywhere on the Township's website is very disrespectful and a gesture of bullying. Deliberate exclusion and isolating is the textbook definition of "Covert Bullying". You are all adults, you may not agree or like each other, however, RESPECT is a non-negotiable courtesy that MUST occur in all organizations.
