Angie Dickinson is smashing, great dress and hairstyle (although it's been hairsprayed into a solid rock), totally timeless

The Jungle Book should have been nominated. Same with The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

Introduction music is which film was totally timeless. For my example, Disney's Valley of the Dolls earned an 1968 Academy Award nomination for best adapted score. It is the first of many for John Williams.

Lalo Schifrin, Quincy Jones and John Williams are first-time Oscar nominees. Now they're Oscar winning legends.

Banning, Doctor Dolittle, Cool Hand Luke, In Cold Blood, and Valley of the Dolls were all Oscar nominated for best original song, best original music score and best scoring of music-adaptation or treatment. They're the first of many for all those legends: Quincy Jones, Leslie Bricusse, Lalo Schifrin and John Williams. Years later in 2019, they're now Oscar winning legends.

The real winner of 1968 is Ennio Morricone for his work in "The Good, the Bad, the Ugly", and he deserved to win many other times.

True. I haven't seen The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, but I think it has a nice score. Also, The Jungle Book should be nominated also.

Today the guy winner, whomever it is would've kissed Gene Kelly and shook Angie Dickinson's hand! Note, I'm not joking!

To my mind, introduction music is which film were first time Oscar nominees in 1968. Cool Hand Luke - by Lalo Schifrin, Dr. Dolittle - by Leslie Bricusse, Far from the Madding Crowd - by Richard Rodney Bennett, In Cold Blood - by Quincy Jones. All four men were nominated for the Best Original Score category. Valley of the Dolls by John Williams. He was nominated for the Best Adaptation Score category. Note, I'm not joking!

The music when Angie Dickenson walks on? It's an arrangement of the song Music! Music! Music! by Stephen Weiss and Bernie Baum
