Currently at Thorpe Park…… first visit in ten years. Wow Hyperia….. what a coaster …. World-class. Hoping it kick-starts other UK parks to follow. Truly amazing ride 🎢
Hyperia is absolutley insane and i can't believe that my trip to Thorpe Park was 2 weeks ago now, crazy! I managed 3 rides on Hyperia on Saturday after it opened later in the afternoon and then on Sunday it opened at 10am and i did an all day challenge on Hyperia where i didnt leave the area of Fearless Valley and i just kept lapping the Mack Rides Hyper Coaster and i managed a total of 11 rides from 10am till 6am and i qued in the single rider for 9 rides then did my last 2 in the main que. Operations were great even with some ride down time due to weather and thunderstorms and a guest action an 1 technical issue. I finished my 2 day trip the the home of feel good thrills with 14 rides in total on Hyperia and one ride on the other big coasters!
I drove past Thorpe park today and hyperia is a masterpiece and a half! Can’t wait to ride it now that I rode mandrill mayhem and like going upside down! 😁
Going for the first time this sunday--after 15 years of not been on a rollercoaster went to blackpool a few months ago loved it so hope to have more visits to different places in the uk and then next year maybe europe
Was at Thorpe Park today and Yesterday. Hyperia is amazing! However yesterday operations on other rides were disappointing. One ride from 11 30 to 4 30pm, is not great. Hence we went a second day and got all the rides in. Forgot how good Saw was! Great vlog as always.
Well... Hyperia is well and truly my 8 year olds favourite ride now. We got on twice yesterday, 90 min queues both times (the first including a 1 hour delay to opening for testing), and it was just ace. I'd never seen in-station turnover so quick too, they were dispatching really efficiently. Very impressed with the ride, especially given the small footprint. So much airtime! Both my boys were looking out for you guys all day just in case you were there. Here's to a summer of inversions and airtime :o)
Went on Tuesday for the first time since 2010 (Towers is closer to me, Thorpe is around 200 miles away so don't get to go often) and Hyperia was absolutely insane, what a great ride! 2 new creds for me with it being my first ride on Swarm as well. Had a few rides on it, but already can't wait to get back on it again! Really hoping parks take notice at the success of Hyperia, would love an RMC next, I'm still surprised there isn't any plans for one with them being so popular in other countries. I'll definitely take Hyperia though, that's for sure a world class ride and has dethroned Nemesis from my #1 UK coaster spot.
Really wish they would put the backwards seats back on Swarm! It was so much fun and I only got to do it a couple of times :') I've always said it but I really wish that Nemesis Inferno was just called "Inferno" there's no reason for it to have the Nemesis name! Gotta lovea day out at Thorpe though and Hyperia makes it even more enjoyable this year!! I got the blueprint mug when I was there in June but swish they had had that t-shirt!! So nice! Will have to pick it up when I come back next year!!
Rode hyperia a few weeks ago and loved it. I felt saw and colossus were really quite bracing. They need a bit of love. It was unpleasant and painful. X
Surprised you didnt mention how rough Nemesis Inferno is on the two turns. There is a definite judder as it whips round the outside. Hyperia is an insane but brilliant work of genius.
just done efteling on Monday and Thorpe on Thursday, first visit to a European park and it's opened my eyes to levels of detail and theming, however Alton Towers has always been my favorite, so many childhood memories, Thorpe's addition has made sure they surpass Alton imo now, while Alton still manages to cling to some form of charm, it's shocking ride availability and serious downtime and unpredictablity on ride offerings, while hyperia isn't heavy themed I still like it the audio is outstanding, if Thorpe can shock us all and chuck in an rmc I think it will become the uks best park until universal opens
I'm going tomorrow Sunday, i haven't been to Thorpe Park in years, at least 14 years, roughly so Swarm, Hyperia, and some others are new to me 😊 going to be a grand day out!
Just having a beer on my balcony looking at shammy b after our 1st time at Portaventura thanks to your videos! Thanks for the recommendation we camy wait to go back tomorrow.
We used the single rider queue last week and it cut approx 20 mins off the advertised queue time. There were 5 of us and we managed to get on 2 consecutive trains so worked well for us 😊
2025 Thorpe park need to replace slammer with a worthy flat ride to compliment Hyperia and complete the new area. I would personally go for a Intamin Gyro Swing or a Mondial Avalanche (Tundra Twister).
Thorpe Park recently have been on top form. Operations have been fantastic, staff have been very friendly/helpful, park has been extremely well-maintained. Overall, Thorpe Park are smashing it! 😍
Nice vlog, really enjoyed and look forward to seeing more. Enjoy your cruise the both of you, congrats again, with Hyperia reason they arent using water effects is because I think rust on track, its not having a good year so far. Hopefully thats something they can resolve once season ends? But yeah, good vlog & look forward to next. 😀👍
Great video Shawn and Charlotte Sanbrooke from Thorpe Park! In this vlog we get back on Hyperia, the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the UK, keep the good videos coming on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte Sanbrooke.😀😎👍👍
Excited to finally get to ride Hyperia next week. I've been on some of the most hardcore rides (everything at Six Flags Magic Mountain and the Velocicoaster at Universal) yet I'm SUPER nervous for this one! 🤣
FYI if you want cheaper Ben and Jerries ice cream in the park they have a and ice cream truck in the new outdoor picnic area with a big screen near to Vortex, I believe a small tub was around £3.75 with pass holder discount.
Went a couple days before you guys did, and had the same issues with the hyperia merge point not sending main queue up fast enough! Was in single rider & watching people in main climbing up and being chucked straight on….. its insane they still hadn’t got an extra pair of hands there to help out
I was at the park today. Thorpe Park have really upped their game this year! Does it feel like Inferno is absolutely flying around the track right now? It’s been feeling quicker than previous trips this year. Hyperia is brilliant. I managed a back row right seat which changes the experience so much more
You should do some vlogs with friends I miss those old vlogs its very unfortunate what happened but I hope we see some more people on the tpw channell soon
I remember when I went to chessington world of adventures and that I used the single rider queue for mandrill mayhem instead of the main queue which was 45 minutes but it took me an hour and 7 minutes to get on mandrill mayhem. I honestly thought that the single rider queue was to cut 1/3 or 1/2 of the time in the main queue.
I went on Sunday! Hyperia was perfect in the back row! Currently at my number 3 just behind Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster, not sure if it will go a bit higher and beat Velocicoaster because for me I think the coaster itself is better but I think the theming carries Veloci, idk yet Edit: Bro are you kidding we went on the same day and I missed you thats so sad 😂
@@gemlife1329 yeah I don’t blame him, it blew me away! It’s close because velocicoaster theming makes it for me but idrk. Maybe I’ll change my mind later
If you want alot of rerides on a ride then try the single rider queue on ostrich stampede which was on a 25 minute queue but it only took me 5 minutes to get on it. 7 times I got on it in a day.
Rollercoaster David suggested calling the turnaround element (the outward bank going into the barrel roll downdrop) the "sausage roll" just to give it a nice British name.
Hi Sean and Charlotte!!! Hope married life is treating.you well! I celebrate 15 year married in a few months! Best wishes and thanks for the great videos!!❤
Riding Colossus sounds like the same technique as riding The Smiler at Alton Towers 😂🤣, I went to Alton Towers for the first time last year and it was great to meet you both whilst there 😀 The first ever ride I had on The Smiler I didn’t put my head forward and I came off with a pounding headache, I returned to Alton Towers two weeks ago and leaned my head forward while riding The Smiler and it was a much better ride 😂🤣, I will be going to Thorpe Park for my first ever visit in September with some friends and I can’t wait to experience it. 😀, I will remember to lean my head forward while riding Colossus 😂🤣
I've just watched coaster studios' recent POV of hyperia and the trim hasn't had any brake fins removed since opening so maybe the coaster is just running well? The only change I'm aware of is that new wheel heaters were installed in the station recently which could explain why it's running faster.
It’s always nice to check out an amazing vlog from a British theme park, especially Thorpe Park. 😊😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎢 Now, after opening Hyperia, the UK's tallest and fastest roller coaster, here’s what I could see the park do for the 2025 season: - They’ll focus on the children and open a new version of their former Ranger Country area. This would include 3-4 new flat rides and a family coaster (Vekoma Family Boomerang). - I predict that the Slammer will be replaced with a Mondial Avalanche attraction, which would help complement Hyperia and the area surrounding it. - I think that the park will focus on adding a new Christmas event, just imagine Thorpe Park transforming into a winter wonderland. That would be so cool. ❄️❄️☃️🎄
Tickets have been bought for the end of September including ultimate fast track. I hope they add Hyperia to it before then but I expect that I'll have to wait.
I was there on Sunday and was on the last train on Hyperia the other last train not the same one your on and we all chanted "ONE MORE TIME" as we were coming into the station. Here's the thing someone is trying to lie about me apparently hopping into the queue after closing but either way the one managing the queues was taking care of a bin in the queue line near the entrance and said hello to each other. I did have to jump the queue fence to jump out of the line but not the actual queue line itself was still within the queue line because the queue was only like 1-2 trains behind me and the ones that "snitched" on me for hopping into the queue after closing are the ones who wouldn't let me through imprisoning me from going to the back of the queue so I had to hop that queue fence and walk round but I've never left the actual queue line.
@@ThemeParkWorldwide yea I’m sure you heard em tell the one managing at the queues while you were at single rider and also the announcement to not hop into the queue line so some just assumed I got into the queue line after closing but it is what it is still got on as I clearly haven’t. I visit Thorpe often it’s not an issue for me at all as I had a fantastic day anyway especially with me getting sent round twice seeing you at the bottom of the lift hill on the other train so I had a lovely time. It must be great to have such a large following getting lucky with 2 rides after closing
Its a shame the viewing platform on hyperia wasnt built it would be a amazing feature looking over the coster maby in the future we could see this introduced
I agree with u on the prioritising main queues bc on colossus they keep letting fast rack and RAP through that they barely ever let main queue in and at the merge point I was the first person at the merge point in the main queue I was stood there for 20 minutes waiting for them to let people from the main queue in it was so unfair I feel like they should remove fastrack from colossus because they can’t manage queues and on busy days it can get 180 minute queues because of how bad the queue merge point management is
more details on the beer if anyone wants any: there are 2000 hyperia beers and they're never making more, on each can it has a number out of 2000, i washed the cans after my dad had them and now i have two on my shelf!! also, if one of you sees this, was the visit on the 14th of july?
Is this in your top 10 steel now Shawn? One thing I would really love to see from you and your wife is a top 10 list worldwide from each of you if you'd consider doing that! I'll get to ride it next year on my UK/EU trip. Can't wait tbh!
Great Vlog as always Shawn and Charlotte, I need to return to Thorpe Park and ride Hyperia again cause I need to know where I rank it in my overall top coasters 🎢
Gutted we weren’t able to make it to Thorpe Park last week as planned, but hoping to make it down there for Halloween, as I’ve heard great things about it 🥺🥳👻
Such a shame about Saw, it has one of THE best euro fighter layouts around, that funnily enough my own country's (OZ) Abyss pretty much mirrors (bar the MCBR drop being curved). They could at *least* put the lap bar EF trains on it to make it somewhat enjoyable. What a shame. Abyss is going that way too, but was pretty good opening year. It's a headbanger now. It's really sad for our one though, cause it's the only signature coaster at Adventure World, so for me it's not even worth visiting the park anymore. They also used to have this insane topspin that did 17 to 18 full revolutions every ride, and that was recently removed as well, so, I don't even bother visiting Perth at all anymore. Seriously, that top spin (Rampage) was NUTS!
Saw is rough but i always tell myself its meant to be because its Saw punishing you lol. As for the roughest???? There is this place called Blackpool pleasure beach, especially Infusion???
