:D I have the app for this and have read the guidebook a few times and yes, for me the Sun isn't about innocence but about happiness that comes from mastering your power and having learned all that the cards represent coming before, lol. It's just that i used the Llewellyn Tarot for 9.5 years exclusively and that has Llew on it, a strong man riding a horse so when I first saw the babies on the RWS I was like WHAT?? lol :) It was neat to see these side by side, a lot of them I actually prefer the Thoth coloration and find the Rosetta too bright, although sometimes the symbols are very clear in the Rosetta--it's all just preference I suppose. Thank you for doing this!
I had the Thoth deck for years and only started using it recently when I trimmed and edged it, I just couldn't relate to the deck before, the borders are such a distraction. Now it's one of my fave decks, I use it everyday, it reads well and accurately. IMO the rosetta tarot doesn't compare. Only thing I don't like about the Thoth deck now is the card stock, but it's less of an issue now my deck is smaller
Now i have a new deck on my wishlist and it is all your fault! I actually really like the Thoth deck and yet this deck does indeed bring out the colors and emotions so vividly. Thank you for taking the time to do this video.

You always have such amazing videos. I don't comment often, but I watch a lot and enjoy them tremendously. I have recently purchased the Thoth and like it, and I also have the Tabula Mundi (what a crazy stunning deck!), but I only have the Rosetta Tarot as an app. I would love to see these 3 side by side. It's a lot to ask I know, but if you compare the 3 one day it would be so cool. Anyway, today, I just started to work with the Thoth, Tabula Mundi & the Liber T Tarot decks as in a #tarotperspective tag (originally created by The Truth in Story & The 78 Cards) on Instagram and I'm really looking forward to finally study this system. Veronica A Bud The Thoth was my first deck ever and first deck I learned to read with. Going against all those who said the Thoth is the last deck you want to learn with I have to admit it was the deck that I would dream about using before I even had it, I swear it was calling me I would have dreams of reading the Opening Of The Key with it as well as find the Devil card hidden places in my dreams too. Now it my go to deck, but I also fell in love with the RWS system. I have the Liber T tarot, but I'm always looking for new Thoth style decks.
These two decks are a good one for learning if you want to skip the Rider-Waite traditional tarot cards. I'm new at tarot and I think I may pick up one of these decks!☺
The Thoth version is vastly Superior., there is really no comparison. How can you compare a deck that is clearly a rip off of the Thoth version to the original.
Wow this is soo similar it actually feels like just a lightweight version of the Thoth deck in all fairness I absolutely love the Thoth deck symbolism though so maybe I am biased! but thank you for the comparison here it saves me buying it, definitely getting the Tabula Mundi one though (thanks to you!) that feels like its inspired by Thoth rather than this which feels like a watered down, beautiful though, copy.

It's difficult to improve upon the beauty of the Thoth. You're right though, quite a few of the Rosetta Tarot deck clarifies the Thoth imagery. I kind of think of it as a Thoth clone, clarifying, refining concepts in much the same way that the Morgan Greer deck did for RWS.
Omg!! When I purchased my Babalon Mundie online last night I saw that the Rosetta reissue with some awesome chages will be released March 31st or before. I have some money put away for that release when it comes out soon. Can't wait!!

I unintentionally own 3 sizes of the Thoth tarot. Since the artwork of the Thoth is so hard to distinguish for you, you should get the XL Thoth cards. lol BTW, you were shitting on it. I love your collection so I was surprised by your criticisms of the deck.
I received the Thoth recently and yeh despite being beautiful the images feel so cold and distant to me, all those statue like figures. I ordered the Tabula Mundi via Kickstarter but now you have me oohing and ahhhing over the Rosetta *eeep*
if u dont mind me asking what, edition of the thoth deck do u have in this video please? I have the larger version of the thoth in the green box but would love to get a smaller size one more along the standard deck size for easier portability but it's confusing as I don't want to pick the wrong one and get one too small! thanks ☺
not at all- this is the small size in the purple box by us games. if u don't trim it, it's only a little smaller than your standard tarot size. and it's still totally large enough to clearly see all the images. it also fits reply nice in the hands!

Amy Palmer this is actually the smaller thoth, it just looks big cuz it's next to the rosetta mini lol. this size works just fine for me, all the imagery is easily seen. have fun and good luck my friend ;)
