Thank you Joe! This video is articulate and informative. I’ve mostly been using the Aquarian and RWS decks since 1996. Now I am curious and excited to revisit Crowley’s Thoth, Kabbalah and alchemy. The rabbit hole never ends!

Haven’t been using my Thoth much these days, but it is my forever soul deck. When I started learning tarot, I had a dream with Thoth (the deity), he was showing me the cards and telling me how “colorful” the images were. Of course, I ran off and bought the deck that same week and went right into the rabbit hole lol.

Love your video!!! I had a lot of experiences with this deck that came naturally through using it my first week. No deck has ever came that naturally to me. Was a very great experience. I’ve been studying a lot about Crowley due to the fact he knew every aspect of the occult. His fiction is very interesting as well through my studies. ^^ I think it’s important to study all aspects of the world and he brings a lot of light into that.

You are absolutely correct with respect to it being a lifelong study, Joe! I have been working with the Thoth deck for years and it continues to provide guidance & assistance for inner awakening and ongoing spiritual practice. Perhaps this is why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea!

Thank you for the amazing video Joe, I love the way you explain things and the open-minded perspective you share! I'm just now getting into Tarot, astrology, philosophy and the like as a newbie, and was feeling a bit anxious about having a Thoth deck as my first one. I picked it after being drawn by the art & knowing nothing about Aleister Crowley, then after some research was thinking I got in too deep and should just return it and get a standard Rider Waite deck. But after your video and doing a bit of other reading, I think the Thoth deck has a lot of great potential and I'm actually really excited to dive into it more! You may have just helped kick off my witching journey haha, keep up the great content:)

You're 100% right about this card and it's tendency to 'accelerate' karma. I guess it's kinda because once you're able to observe things at a causal level you actively input stimuli that either changes or accelerates karma.

This was such a lovely video, thank you! This comment is going to be a bit long, but I have to get this out since I loved your video so much. The thoth tarot had been on my wishlist for ages and it was only today that I was drawn to check its price again (I'm a recent graduate and the price constantly fluctuates so I wanted to buy it when I could afford it best). For the first time in months, the price was low enough for me to make the jump. Your point about how the deck allows you to connect with your higher self made me cry immediately and it was then that I remembered the vision that came to me during my meditation on the akashic records. I met my higher self in my vision and they looked as if they were born out of the imagery of the Thoth deck. I didn't recognise them at first but as they came closer I could hear their energy telling me that them and I were one. I feel like that's a huge sign that I'm ready to bring this deck into my life. Thank you, again, for your video and the confirmation with it.

I got this deck last year and decided to learn more about it now that I have the courage and time. Not going to lie, this deck was really intimidating at first until I started to learn about the history behind the cards. I’m surprised at how much astrology and numerology is used (and I’m pretty knowledgeable in both) so it makes learning this deck much easier. I didn’t know about Kabbalah until I started with this deck and it’s pretty eye opening. I’m glad this deck chose me because I love to study and learn outside of the box.

Amazing video and you described the Thoth deck in a way which I haven't seen in other videos, alot of clarity and understanding. I'm studying Thelema and I'm gonna get my first tarot deck very soon and I've been torn between the Thoth deck and the Hermetic tarot deck, yes I know my first deck and I'm choosing between two of the most difficult haha.

Really good video for me, I'm a beginner right now, and my mom owned a Thoth and I've always been fascinated with the images, without knowing what they meant at all (as a kid!). This gives a completely new perspective on this fascinating deck to me

I'm so happy I came across your channel. You are simply a beautiful soul and I love how you described Crowley. He has been described as the most evil man in the world. Depending on your definition of evil and how much you believe about the things said about him but to deny his brilliance is sheer ignorance. Love him or hate him, the man had a huge impact on occultism, witchcraft practices in general and he traveled in very interesting circles. I currently work with Tarot of the Holy Light but have read Crowley for years and wanted to explore this deck. I picked it up and am doing that now. Apparently, I was meant to find your channel. Wonderful video. I am also studying sacred geometry so this deck will assist me in delving deeper into that as well. Very excited to dive in!

Excellent overview. I've only used oracle cards and other divination, but I've had a growing interest in Aleister Crowley and I feel his teachings of Themela resonate with me a lot. I live in Boston and I felt inspired to take a trip to Salem today. I stumbled upon this deck and immediately felt drawn to it, though I had no intention of buying a tarot deck. I love the esoteric sophistication in the deck. What's interesting is that I did my first reading and I swear I felt a powerful energy using the cards. It also turned up a reading of cards that seemed quite accurate to my present state. I'm glad you mentioned accelerated karma...I'm not sure still how that works but it's good to know.

I bought this deck a while a go as my first deck knowing not so much about tarot and this one just really spoke to me. I started using it without much knowledge and always felt so known but also a bit of a dark vibe in a positive way kind of like shadow work! Thank you for your information ☺️

However I have read a bit of Crowleys biography enough to understand that yes he is controversial but also that this a someone who has been very much misunderstood. This video confirms my initial thoughts on Thoth. I will be moving forward with my studies of Thoth.

I read rider in my practice but I just bought one of these decks and then I watched the holy mountain lol I must say it's intriguing and there are definitely some great parallels

I use this deck to clarify when I use the Egyptian Tarot or vice versa. Love this deck, see something new every time I read with it but Chile you lost me calling out witches on some “Crowley wrote most of your rituals”. Crowleys philosophies are barely a century old. Real witches/Strega those of us with long traceable lines made our brand of occultism way before his times. Old magic is feminine of Gaia…Crowley was a genius but you’re giving him to much credit. Also in re: karma and the power of the deck…the channeler and their ability to channel doesn’t change from deck to deck…true channelers can tap into source with any deck. Decks are tools…kind of like a car…no good unless there’s a learned driver. I love this deck, it’s very nuanced and intricate and definitely gives me unique messages. As a channeler, I am a conduit, I receive and deliver and karmic energy is not stored or gained only high priestess knowledge and pieces of the Akashic record are stored. Same with root workers…they don’t receive karmic retribution for doing their spiritual work. Much like Crowley, root workers (who predate Crowley by almost a century) don’t shy away from dark magic.

Great Video I read the Lon Milo DuQuette book this week and will read the Book of Thoth when my Brain recovers.

What I WILL tell you about these decks, is I've handled a few of them that actually pulled themselves back together once a hand was separated... by miles, as IF by MAJICK! Haaaaa! They were EXCELLENT powerful readings. So, much as the time the deck was created, I suppose the IT will continue to lure and fascinate thru the decades, much as the world leaders of that time have, and still do. 🌸

I really enjoyed your video. I've been postponing to learn about this deck because I don't have the time while I'm trying to master the RWS and Lenormand. I don't want more in my head until I read with those fluently like it's the easiest thing to do. However, I have to admit I bought this deck and I'm waiting for it to arrive, because after all, it's in our nature... we want to learn all the cartomancy systems and I guess I'm speaking for everyone hahaha.
