People say the Egyptian Gods are Greek Gods in disguise but false. Just Greek propaganda when the Greeks started to dominate Egypt. Make no mistake. Ancient Egypt is a lot older than Greek civilization.
@@davidortiz3094 It was common in that time in history for different polytheistic societies to syncretize their gods with another culture’s gods. Romans did it all the time, even with the Norse gods. Obviously this stopped when they were no longer polytheistic, and no one in this day and age thinks that one pantheon came from the other, historically speaking.
@@davidortiz3094 every religion is connected u do realize the Greek gods and other cultures are the same under different names but ur right they aren’t the idea of what those Greek said but they are indeed the same gods just like anu got castrated and dethroned by his son and married his wife/sister earth just as In Greek hence they are both skys gods just as shamayim was dethroned by el shamayim is the sky god in cannanite religion so know you see all the gods are connected through out the cultures

You said this elsewhere. No one here is claiming that they are Greek gods in disguise, so I have no idea who you’re arguing against. Who is this “people” you’re talking about who say this? Are you mad that Greeks had a myth to explain how the two pantheons were the same, which was a normal thing for polytheistic societies to do back then?
@@russergee49 I know exactly what I said & yes I state it again & again because yes I have seen people stating the Egyptian Gods are Greek Gods in disguise. Which is again propaganda from the Greeks. Ancient Egypt has been around way longer than Greece.
@@russergee49unlike you I saw at least one comment tell a story of the Greek gods fleeing Olympus after Zeus's defeat and going to Egypt disguised as animals. I see an Egyptian and a westerner in this thread.
@@ZalamaTheDragonGod Honestly it’s been so long since I commented I don’t even remember what this video was about. It’s true Ancient Greeks had a myth about the gods fleeing to Egypt, and it was probably a way for them to syncretize their gods with the Egyptian gods - probably a result of the colonization of Egypt. I don’t see where I denied that myth existed, or that Egypt has a longer history? All I did was point out that we, people watching this video, are completely aware that Egyptian gods are separate and developed separately. You can try to make this a “evil Westerner” narrative, but I don’t know how you’re going to do that when I am absolutely a defender of Egyptians’ right to their history, especially when there are those who deny them this by claiming they are just Arabs who stole that land. I have no love for the colonial Western mentality. It has never done anything but hurt my own people and shame them into denying their true eastern identity.
@russergee49 0.3 percent of modern egyptians are related to ancient Egyptian. 70% of Welsh and 45% of British people are related to king tutankamun... Egypt has been taken over by different races throughout the year, however it was indeed the sea people who destroyed they're old homeland wich had been taken over by sub saharans at that point of Time in history I'm sorry to break your bubble about the truth of immigration in ancient times.
I think there is some confusion. According to a popular myth Thoth helped Geb and Nut the Gods of earth and sky respectively, to conceive children as they were cursed by Ra. Nut and Geb had four children Osiris, Isis, Seth and Nepthis. So how can he be a son of Osiris or Seth either?
Well there can be several versions of each myth. In some of the myths of creation in Egypt, it was actually Bennu who searched for Geb and Nut. Even though it's Thoth that was usually Ra's messenger in ancient Egypt. Like if you were to look at the Hindu myths of creation, it's usually Vishnu or Brahma that created the world, and very rarely Shiva.
@@randomyoutuber3826 has more to do with what era i think. when the Romans came things changed a bit to more closely match what they had over there.... at least that's what seems most logical to me. not sure which is the oldest, but i'd go with whatever version dates back the furthest.

Giuseppe Catapano: "Atlantida which disappeared 12,000 years ago, was the land of the Illyrians/ Pelasgians (ancestors of Albanians), who escaped the flood of Atlantis and began new civilizations on all continents, especially in Europe, Africa and small Asia". He wrote the book: THOTH spoke Albanian! Thot means " to say" in Albanian Language.
you have it wrong thoth is self made god so he hasnt have parents other version say ra or amun-ra create him but still has no parent because wasnt born he was created to record what ra create all the thing and secrets of universe as ra righ hand.
Understand that there have been many versions of all mythological stories over the thousands of years. Bastet and Seckmet is a good example. They’re sisters. They’re one and the same. I think there’s one where they’re mother and daughter too but I’m not sure on that one. Point is that there is no cannon mythology. Sure there are some parts of the story that could remain consistent. But again things change over the centuries
@@saadmaanfitness Many cultures have the same beings but different names. I think it's just people from around the world witnessed the same thing but different interpretations.
Thoth is the Greek pronunciation of his name. Thoth is Egyptian threw and threw. The reason why they usually have different names for the same deity is because words and vowels don’t exist from language to language. So some Egyptian words and vowels don’t exist in Greek and vice versa therefore making it hard for the Greeks to know how to say Egyptian deities names. Hence why they have several name for the same deity. Or at least that’s usually a big reason why that’s the case
The Emerald Tablets and other books were written by an author named Thoth/Hermes Trismegistus (3 times "thrice" great ) according to ancient history. Might have just been a fusion/assimilated version of the gods but those two ancient deities seem to have been interchangeably mentioned at one point in history.
These are the fallen angels who wanted to imitate the order in heaven and call it a “trinity” a word only used since Babylonian worship. We know how the real wisdom is Holy Spirit 😊👍 carryon children
…so wait…if he’s the god of magic/knowledge…and he can take the form of a baboon or bird…does that mean he’s also the god of the flying monkeys that serve the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz? 😂
No need to be insecure, this is about ancient Egyptian religion. Did you feel the need to say this because you fear you're starting to believe in it and need to double down on your faith out loud? Or rather is it that you feel insulted that another religion has a deity that represents knowledge? I'm betting on the latter but it could be both.
@ZalamaTheDragonGod Jesus is beyond religion. He is God in human form. Thoth is dead. He did not die to save the world, he did not take our place in death, he was not beating for our transgressions, and he cannot forgive sin. The world does not know about Thoth like it knows about Jesus. Jesus is the only God with Godfidence to say, "I am the Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father (God) but by Me." John 14:6
@@tbird3081 Thoth here, I ain't dead; your messiah on the other hand... 😂 Look, Jesus was great and taught the humans a lot. But he wasn't God; he said it himself.. follow his teachings; don't make him unreachable by labeling him as God.
Thoth seems to be more respectable than a god written by a tribe of sheep humpers from the desert and the god from the religious belief that caused the death and suffering of so many incident people.
