Panama Canal - 51 miles - they don't let anyone swim it any more, not just because you'd have to complete it in 8 hours but because there are crocodiles in Gatun Lake...
That moment where you realise you're not alone, because all people that run and spend time alone with their thoughts, no matter the distance, ARE as bonkers as you are 😘👍❤
Anyone that can be lost in freshly ploughed fields, after all weathers, and many many miles, and still get in a 90’s dance classic with ‘on course, off course, on course, off course... “on course une fois”’ deserves all the respect and Rosé it’s possible to give!
I think this might be my first ever YT comment but i felt the need. I have been watching the Running Channel for about a year and a half now and always love your videos. But I felt the need to come on here and say Allie was fantastic! Such charisma and character. She has a new fan here for sure. I understand she mainly runs to help with mental health and I know that reading YT comments is generally the last thing that anyone should do if they care about their mental health but I hope she gets to read the comments here and know that she has brightened peoples day and no doubt inspired many.
Chris, thank you so much for sharing this! We're really thrilled you loved the video and have been inspired by Allie and I'll be sure to pass this onto her 😊
I love how down to earth she is & explaining about running a 11-12 minute mile as you can slow down or even walk which takes so much pressure off 😊 great advice!!
More Allie Bailey content, always. Is she available for rent as an Ultra-buddy to chat random nonsense with me while I try to run stupidly long races? Like a mind-Sherpa.
My new favourite video on the Running Channel. I love Allie to bits. She is an inspiration and just so funny. Would love to go for a run with her and just chat rubbish for miles on end. Great collab folks!
@@runningchannel and I’ve been blown away by everyone support🤯...raised £2,000 with 2 challenges still to go! May 7 half marathons in 7 days and then my first marathon in October, London sub3 😁
It's just science...... My new favourite phrase for slowing it down and going further. I have been trying to get into the ultra mentality of not worrying to much about pace, but it is hard to not over think it :-) More Allie please.
Yes Allie! What an epic day out. Thanks for taking the TRAILFLY ULTRA out for an adventure, we're glad it looked after you. And you can expect your first royalties from your INOV-8 jingle to start rolling in soon! Amazing work.
Allie is an absolute LEG END !!!! This is by far my favourite RunningChannel video... She's got that perfect "Ultra Runner" balance of Hardcore / Bonkers. More please !!!
honestly, this was waaaay better than watching netflix. absolutely loved your commentary along the way. as a road runner who recently started doing very short trail routes, im excited to one day do long routes!
That was brilliant seeing how Allie thinks & feels when out running. I always feel like have have to go fast or push myself more but Allie’s attitude to this is so refreshing! PS I take my own trail angle with me xx
I think I've fallen in love! 😍 Well done Allie. I can't wait to see more of your ultra running adventures. Another great video from the running channel too 🤟🏃♂️
Love her personality. And I love that you said that the first mile is the hardest because I’m a new runner, longest is 4.5 miles, and I totally still think this. But you said it gets easier by 5-7 miles... so that’s my plan.
I love this woman. She is so relatable.I mean what she says not how far she runs.I can run nearly a mile and a half in half an hour but she makes me feel that the speed doesn't matter which is really comforting for slow runners like me.
Made me laugh- hugely encouraging to hearing that 11 or 12 min miles aren’t such a terrible thing - that’s me on a 10 mile run tho 🤣 and is about as ultra I can manage. Enjoyable and informative- good call Running Channel 👍
Great video! love watching mile by mile thoughts. I always feel like ultra runners experience equal parts fun and hard work while doing what they love which is running! Looking forward to my ultra this autumn.
I, like pretty much everyone here , just fell in love with Allie! She reminds me of Olivia Coleman, her voice, her random thoughts and joy of life. Much more content from Allie please Running Channel!
One of the things I appreciate about this channel is you see people walking at random points all the time... I used to think I wasnt a "real runner" or a run was failed if I stopped for a drink, or needed a walk, or to pat a dog
Sign her up! Allie was great - excellent patter :) Loved the cinematic nature of this one - nice and ambitious, well done folks. And seriously, sign Allie up, we need more!
Loved your description of your first several miles. I HATE the first mile or two. Takes me so long to get into a groove. Thanks for this video. Would love to see more like it.
I loved this video. Allie is a hoot. I bet she’d be so entertaining to run with. Glad to see she is enjoying the new Trailfly’s. I have a few runs in mine and absolutely love them
What a great way to promote a product. Great personality, great scenery, what look likes excellent shoes. What a wicked sense of humour as well! I've only done the one proper Ultra and I think I shared many of those same thoughts as I trudged along.
Completely enjoyed Allie and her commentary! Please have her back. I do hate the first couple miles and have to tell myself to suck it up, it’ll get fun!
Hahah! She’s amazing! I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s thinks completely randomly during my runs! Amazing haha! Love the brown caterpillar reference
Love the thoughts of Allie Bailey, I came to this video from reading her book. She didn't seem that happy about this video but I am here for it and love it. Running can be so boring and real characters should be cherished.
Thank you so much for posting this video. Last week I signed up for my first ultra in November (Test Way) and watching this has confirmed I have the right mind set...more please.
Allie is a super star. She is absolutely hilarious. What you see is what you get. You inspire me! I've got my first ultra in June and I'll be thinking of you
Make up place names? ✅ Over-complicate the maths of a run? ✅ Talk to animals? ✅ Head fills itself with jingles and other nonsense? ✅ Am I normal or are we both weird?
Allie is an absolute legend and she deserves all the animals saying hello to her! Loved this video!! Absolutely loved it!! Can we also appreciate this video is 26:19...and a marathon is 26.2 miles. So close!
Without doubt one of the funniest advert videos I've seen. Just cracked me up from start to finish. She's Completely Bonkers and I thought I was the only one that came up with random rubbish While out running.🤣😂🙂👍
Thank you for letting us know it takes a while for your brain to settle down - I’m sure a lot of us have the same experience! Your 11-12 minute pace for endurance is me flat out though 😅
She’s hilarious!!! Love her rap about the trainers & so many other gems! Don’t know how anyone can stay that happy doing an ultra 😂 I am going to use the term ‘trail angels’ from now on too!!
Without doubt the funniest running video I’ve ever watched. I thought it was just me that sings and makes weird stuff up when running…..and don’t get me started on the talking to myself! Awesome 😊😊
