Here's a little taste of nature poetry to delight you. Mary Oliver's way with words never fails to evoke her strong connection to nature and how we are connected with it as well.

Thanks for the Oliver prompt - very enjoyable. I haven't read her for a while. I will now return.

I love it when you read to us! 🥰 I've been following you for quite some time - since you were attending school in Edinburgh, and what an amazing life you've led. Between your days with Disney, the long, memorable hikes you've taken, and living abroad, you have done so many truly amazing and interesting things (once you write it, I'll be in line to purchase your memoir!). With that said, it was the first poem you shared and the commentary you made on it that really struck a chord with me. I've been dealing with some health issues for quite some time so haven't been able to go out into nature as much as I once did. The woods are my happy place. But it isn't my health issues that have been getting me down lately. It's the stupid, petty stuff that goes on at the job. And you are so right about climbing a mountain and gazing out at the world in front of you. I feel like I've been dwelling on the insignificant and need to get out into nature and focus on what really matters. Also, like Mary Oliver, I find the, what some might consider the grotesque in nature, quite fascinating. How it's all linked together to benefit the whole. I have a copy of Mary Oliver's Devotions and feel this would be a good time to pick it up and reread through her poems. 💖

Aw I always appreciate your comments, you are so sweet! People like you make me want to keep writing and sharing. I’m so sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope nature and good poetry can bring you lots of comfort. Just sitting outside cures so many of my negative thoughts that build up every day. I’ve read Devotions, Mary Oliver is a wonderful poet to return to when you need to feel grounded ❤️
