I love how as you're flipping through this encyclopedia, you're demonstrating your own "Scooby-Doo" knowledge as you speak. You offered some deep cut trivia about Scooby's extended family members that I would have never guessed since I don't watch the classic series regularly (hell, I haven't watched "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" AT ALL). Also, I believe Dooby Dooby Doo's name is a reference to a Frank Sinatra song (same with Scooby-Doo himself).
It's a cool Encyclopedia I have the large version and the Mini that comes as part of Scooby-Doo, Where are you! 50th Anniversary set. I do wish they will make a updated version though.
One minute it’s start off ok from 90’s and way early 2000’s the next thing it keeps going then there’s someone who wants to solve mysteries solo but has a mean bossy snotty attitude and who enemy with mystery inc
@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 Yeah, in the Scooby and Scrappy Doo series, there are some episode segments where they trade in Scooby and Shaggy and instead have Scrappy hanging out with his other uncle and Scooby related relative, Yabba Doo who is partnered with his human, Deputy Dusty who are like Cowboy versions of Scooby and Shaggy. They’re pretty entertaining, and funny thing is Yabba and Dusty aren’t as cowardly as Scooby and Shaggy usually are, so it’s a kind of a fresh change of pace.
A shame SD and the Curse of 13th Ghost was so lackluster and wasn’t faithful the 13th Ghost of SD series. I love how they expanded the lore with the Chest of Demons making it King Solomon’s legendary container, and Asmodeus’ design who is the final 13th demon. Unfortunately, no Bogel and Weerd, no Scrappy with the usual Scrappy bashing, Asmodeus was a cliché guy in a mask fake monster instead of a real demon/ghost, all the fantastic from the 13th Ghost of SD series played down, and an annoyingly pedantic Velma who might just be more obnoxious than Scrappy ever was that people claimed him to be as they bashed him. Makes me think the Chest of Demons with the 13 Ghosts in them might make a great villains/plot device for the next Scoob film.
@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 Still, why go the rather lackluster direction, instead of going the full on popular entertaining direction. I mean Scooby and Mystery Inc have taken on real supernatural foes before. They’ve even took on Cerberus himself in the Scoob film. Why play down the Chest of Demons and all the events from The 13th Ghost of SD series. I just find it an obtuse move.
@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 I'm surprised by the "Ghoul School" girls' absence, since that TV movie has such a cult following. They even guest appeared in "OK K.O.!"
