It looks so gorgeous there! I'm such a sucker for beautiful landscapes and nature. I'd never heard of Cheryl Strayed before, but it sounds like a really great memoir. I can definitely relate to feeling "I'm such an idiot, what did I do" and "this was an amazing decision" almost in one breath when traveling or moving somewhere alone.
Yes! My favorite part of being out here is seeing nature exist. Like, I would never have seen bamboo as tall as trees or crystal blue oceans if I didn't do this. It makes me want to train as a hiker/backpacker so that I can see all of the world's beauty, you know? I highly recommend Wild! That, and her book, Tiny Beautiful Things. I can't get over how amazing of a writer she is and the life she has lived. Truly my new favorite author. lol it's crazy how those two feelings are two sides of the same coin, isn't it? xD
Sometimes books come in to your life at just the right time. I’m so proud of you getting out there and living the solo travel life! Lol I of course hardcore relate to the funniness of being alone with your thoughts and realizing it’s just songs from your youth on repeat. The adventures I remember the most fondly are the ones I was the least prepared for 😂 you got this! Thank you for the beautiful images of Columbia! 5 stars for your thoughts from places 🥰
Loved the footage of nature around you and the camera angle with the green grass in front of you. *lol* Fun fact: I recently found "Wild" in one of the free little libraries in my area and took it with me. XD So I'll definitely put it up higher on my TBR now. 😊
