Hey Pally, I noticed from your videos that you have a lot of lozenges, and you mentioned your voice being rough. I just wanted to check and make sure you know that lozenges when taken consistently, will give you throat problems, along with a lot of other symptoms.. I strongly recommmend a nice hot Echinasea tea with some honey in it. Gotta take care of that voice man, that's the money maker!

I recently went back and watched your first Thrall video, where you show off the Battle Momentum Windfury build. Man it was a good time. Heroes has changed a lot and mostly for the better (balance/design-wise), but I binge on those old videos sometimes.

I think I still have Thrall Battle Momentum PTSD. That was insane.

I imagine his low winrate among the bruisers is partially because he, like Xul, changes a fair bit based on what build you go for. A lot of people who don't main him gravitate toward the burst build with stuff like Crash Lightning and Sundering, and then fail to help their team when quickmatch doesn't provide another frontliner to make up for it. That, and I've found Thrall doesn't handle being focused by CC very well, a bit like Xul, so even with all that healing on his side it's really easy to shut him out in a QP environment where he's likely a lone frontliner with no healer. Like, he seems to have all the right tools to succeed in most games, it just feels like he doesn't get to use them because people don't want to tune their build to the match they're in, and not having an actual healer makes him super easy to blow up.

THANK YOU for reminding me that his battle momentum was a thing when he came out! Thrall is one of my top 3 most-played heroes in my roster and I couldn't remember why. (I think he's fine now but I remembered being a monster with him bitd) Yup, it was those broken windfury procs and I could get away with so much on him once upon a time! lol. Great vid as always my dude!

Nice! Somehow whenever I play Thrall, I just get chain CCd and can't really do anything and then die. I'm sure I'm doing it wrong but I just don't play him, ragnaros is better like you said. I might try ine more game after seeing this, but win rate being so low I'm hesitant haha

Self healing god? No no no… that’s Dehaka. Thrall is good at it too, but Dehaka can outpace it easily with a full essence focus build.

Thrall is a mess of fun. As long as he can keep casting abilities he heals for a monster amount. Stuns and silences will ruin his day, but otherwise he can live through so much and surprise many players with his damage and poke. I caught your first few games on twitch when you were struggling a bit. I'm glad you found some traction.

you do realise that D does -0.5 s cd on abilities, you you want to pop it much as you can to reduce your abilitiy cd

I'm 61-11-1 now following your builds. The build was good but this was the most quick matchy quick match I've had in a long time. No tanks or healers with the front line being me and greymane. There was almost no sustain on either team and as a result the first objective wasn't captured on alterac valley until level 13 on each team. The match ended with both teams at level 26 with the kills being 38-41. Peak quick match if there is such a thing. This reminds me of an old video with you playing Ana and Mewn playing Zeratul and you started bragging about quick match being your domain

i used to run earthquake for years... but after i tried sunder a few times, i found i regularly grantee kills that would otherwise escape me, but earthquake had only about a 10% confirm rate on heros that would otherwise survive. the oprotunities i have to disrupt team fights seem few and far inbetween as well with earthquake

I like Thrall, but I find it hard to do what I want with him. If I try to go for damage, I don't survive. If I try to tank... I also don't survive. He's one of those characters I'm bad at that I still have to a pretty high level, because I always feel like I need more practice.

Echo of the elements is what you take when you want waveclear. Once you learn how to do the quest you can usually have it done before level 7.
