That’s a monster… Farrrrrk i miss me fishing!!! Cant wait to catch another line tearing thready, love me barra fishing but these things will pool barrier around backwards… Thanks for sharing, it’s like being on the boat with ya… keep the episodes coming… Cheers
We catch threadfin on the Mississippi River Delta but we catch them in bottom trawls, trawling for shrimp but a 5” or 6” fish is a monster! I never realized they became that large much less were a targeted sportfish! BOOM! That’s why I love your fishing spot!
It's amazing just how similar, just slightly different, the fish are down there as opposed to here in the States. You just have different names for them. Your cod are Goliath grouper to us. What you call kingys we call amberjack. And that GIANT threadfin you caught, we have them too but they're only inches long here. What you call mackerel, we call kingfish. I guess it's because we have 4 different kinds of mackerel.
local names for fish are so bad haha their kingfish is a yellowtail amberjack (separate species from amberjack)..... our king fish is a king mackerel..... in CA yellowtail is yellowtail amberjack, in FL, yellowtail is yellowtail snapper. I couldn't make it more confusing if I tried haha
Hey mate, probably not that useful for offshore stuff but have you been tempted by any of the live scope stuff for your sounders? Would be cool to see how it applies to non-bream fishing.
