Thank you for this!!! Stumbled upon this audiobook and im glad i did. Really nice work from Zack Argyle, kudos to him. Intricate world building, i found it written so that i was convinced about its politics and the distinct cultures of every city. I also like the concept of the powers, i didn't mind about the remembrance with you know whos books and last but not least,in fact i should have said first and foremost the narration was one that i enjoyed immensely. I will be looking into this dude, so good.
Every time I hear the Apogee, I fall deeper in love with the book. I have always preferred reading, but I would have never experienced it like that, had I stuck with my outdated preferences. Amazing narration. I see the similarities with Sanderson, but I find that to be a good thing. A free audio book in the style of Brandon Sanderson... YES, PLEASE! I say that as a compliment. Zack Argyle writes complex and beautiful characters. Beautiful beasts and an amazing world. Thank you!
Agree. I've always read but I find my need for lighting and eye strain greatly diminished. Thank you Epic Fantasies!! Great presentation and production. Very well written and narrated! Thank you. Mario SIrSirReal Villarreal.
I am a voracious fantasy/sci-fi reader. This book so far rates with some of my favorites. Fantastic book. I do see flavor from Sanderson. The world building and character development. I feel this one trumps Wheel of time based on keeping you on the edge of your seat, action rolling into action without it being nonstop gore or magic casting. Bravo author, narrator, and Epic; you’ve put out a fantastic product I’ll be looking to purchase, and will be recommending this to my reading friends.
Fantastic all around fantasy with a little of everything for everyone! I can picture the threalight lines glowing as the characters draw upon its powers. in my mind it is similar to Aang when he enters the avatar state and how this tats glow.
Just started chapter 20. So good so far thank you Narrator and Author.. I am a big wheel of time guy, and I was hooked from the rip, just like that. Can’t wait to see what happens
I just finished the first book, i love this series, i love this channel, i immediately became a subscriber. I'm not a native English speaker, so maybe there is something i don't understand, because i see so many good comments about the narrator, but honestly i don't like very much this narrator, he does a great job with the voices, but the cadence of the speech, it seems to me super rigid and set almost as if it were a poem, if you know what I mean.. maybe it's a classic way of reading in English, but I must admit that the lack of expressiveness in the tone of voice flattens the story a bit. above all it makes it difficult to notice the change of scenery from one story to another... having said that, I repeat that the story is very interesting and that I am very grateful to this channel for making it available to everyone...
I have this audibool already since zack was kind enough to give it away for free to people subscribed to his newsletter, but this is great! Subscribed!
I read a physical copy of this book and enjoying listening to the audio as well! Should start the 2nd book this month or next month. Looking forward to continuing the story!
These books are great and they keep you on the edge of your seat I love them and thank you for sharing the best books I have ever read ,!!!! I highly recommend reading them ! !!!!!
I just wanted to say that I stumbled upon your page looking for audio books hopefully in a series that are good I personally want to say thank you for the manner in which you have your page setup as in how precisely organized you have things all the books group together unlike any other page that I've come across this is the way all of them should be hoped to see new added book series!!!!
The narrator/reader is excelent love it. as a sevind language learning English and enjoying it can't have enough good reader with a passion and personallity Thank you very much..
Already have the audiobook and looking forward to reading/listening soon. I know things are still freshly being set up for this channel, but chapter markers within the video would be a major addition as a piece of friendly feedback :) support what you’re doing here!
Yes I agree. A whole world opens up and forms in our minds like a chorus in the multi-verse. Thanks for your input and feedback. Mario SIrSirReal Villarreal.
The narrator is so melodramatic I can't take it seriously 😂 It's only the first 10 minutes and they're just having conversations but it's too over the top. Appreciate the upload though!
I really enioy this so far but there has been next to no explanation on thread manipulation or what exactly each one seems to do beyond characters using them. Really hope they explain that at some point
As a soon to be Creative Writing graduate school grad, if you sre gonna write about diverse characters, this is how you go about it. Thank you for making even the villain of color bad ass! I am enjoying your writing style, pacing, and creativity. If you ever get an offer to turn it into a television series I would totally sign on as a junior writer👏🏾!
I was listening to this as I was reading along with the e-book from Amazon, and they don't match. Chapter 1 starts out very differently. Does anyone know why?
Hi! You're not crazy :) The ebook was actually just updated this past week with a new round of edits for the faux-leather, special edition omnibus. Chapter 1 had the most changes. The rest of the series should only have small differences!
Can you write a fantasy without gods and magic( perhaps ability but not magic) with heavy focus on coming of age and kingdoms/ court intrigue Do you know any book like that
12:02 two dominant traits make a submissive trait. Two blue eyed people who have a grandparent who had brown eyes have a baby that submissive traits are more likely to develop. It’s been a long time since I was in school so if I’m wrong sorry but it’s something like that.😂
Lol was thinking the same thing and the king literally slapped his so called best friend of 30 yrs for being jealous of chris infront of chris literally right after the fight and his child being born lol he so could have told him. Unless the king is evil lol 😆 😂 lol probably not
Yea that's a plot hole and annoying cliche - this guy is a traitor but rather than tell about this or contest it with a trail they don't and it bites them and others...
There is certainly some inspiration from Sanderson and Weeks. But if you keep going, you'll see that it truly is its own. There's also lots of other options on the channel if this one doesn't work for you!
@@YABBAHEY1 brush how dense are you it's fucking 2023 everything of everything has been done or attempted rather hard to make something in fsntast without someone saying it's from x and that's also part of bloody fantasy people takes parts of other things they like to make their story. Fuck half of the dam fantasy stories, comics, and movies would not fucking being around if no one could inspire off each other.....no gots, no lotrs, no Brandon, no elder scrolls, etc-etc
Adam Gold's voice is a bit like a dark roast coffee. A bit of an acquired taste that, in the end, will leave you feeling all warm and satisfied. Keep listening and see if he grows on you!
@@dominicmills2117 I don't get the people who don't like this reader. It has been said; "There is no accounting for taste." This is one of the best in the business.
Boah! Use an effing fantasy-name generator. The great cheat-char (Ninja-Sage-Premium-Lover-Best-Son-Ever), but more than a name `Chris´ wasn't mustered? Spoils the story flow. 🤮
@@EpicFantasyAudiobooks Yes! I loled for real when I read the Tom joke.. my boy, finish the book if ya wanna critique.. on a totally unrelated note I used to work for a guy named stavros, had everyone call him Steve.. his adult son named Steve, had everyone call him Stavros..
@@theobserver9131 I think it's the same reason we call it "reading braille". Our eyes are one medium for consuming written material, but so are our hands and ears.
