Just a little hint: Don't explain why you didn't film your vacation! No need to justify, vacation and family time are more than valid reasons for you to not make content. When you post the next video, we'll be here waiting. Greetings from a European colleague 🙂
Captain Chris is a legend. Always responds to me on instagram. So engaging, so genuine. I’m also stealing “Aviate, Navigate, Be Nice”. I’ll be teaching that to all my students. Thanks as always Paul for the incredible content.
I just got hired by southwest in Austin as a customer service representative. I been in the industry 5 years with other airlines and I love it . Captain you really inspire me and I’d love to meet you over food and drinks sometime
another airline employee here- just wanted to say how impressed I am by the number of shots and quality editing you have done to tell a story. I know how dang difficult it is, especially when you're working and rushing through airports, and I have to say your video not only inspires me, but makes me not want to give up on my YT journey. Quick q- do you carry around a full sized tripod? again thank you for the great content, I can definitely see how much work you put into your videos ✈
Thank you for helping me with my fear of flying, I've been flying to and from Canada from Georgia, seen 4 Provinces and have been 10 flights, loving it
@@nzmarty if you load up on caffeine all day you can basically avoid it. When you wake up there is still a lot of adenosine in your brain which makes you sleepy, if you have caffeine, which blocks adenosine receptors, that adenosine stays around and can build up until the caffeine decays. Then you get a shit load adenosine 5 hours later. I would say delayed gratification is probably better that getting coffee right away after waking up. But you could just have decaf coffee (or a non caffeinated hot beverage) and then normal coffee later. Or wake up a bit earlier and have a slow morning. That short time of sleepiness right after waking up is important too, ideally you should wake up and spend a few minutes in bed before becoming active.
Paul, I recently found your channel and have spent countless hours watching your vlogs. I am addicted. You seem to be a really genuine person who would be fun to fly with. I love how you spend your layovers and how you include your crews on the outings. Them wanting to go with you speaks volumes. I really enjoyed this one! You are a guy that it would be a pleasure to sit down and talk over drinks. Keep up the fantastic job!
Hi Capt Paul👋🏼I’m always excited to see where you’re taking us next on RU-vid! And you never disappoint…loved this video! Sending much love to you & your sweet family! 💕💕💕
I think a video based on your personal thoughts on managing difficult situations in life would be awesome! You have a lot of people that look up to you, including me! It would make it interpersonal and give us a good feel to how you handle things (on or off the aircraft) I’m thinking more like personal matters such as maybe, loss, relationships, just something in the realm of that! Either way, another great video! 😊
It is something with London, that makes you go back. I have been there many times and keep returning as well. It is expensive, but still. It is also a city that can attract people with different interests, can do completely different things and have a good time.
Great conversation with Capt. Chris, Paul. Your videos continue to impress me (and the general/flying public!), and I’m sure inspire many. Also, your PA announcements with the iconic 76 cockpit sound still give me chills. ❤🔥👌🏼✈️🛬
Hi Paul! Thank’s for another great video! They are always informative. Looks like you will be crossing the 150K Subscriber point very soon, congratulations on that. Ken
What a great video and some great discussion ... Two absolute legends on social media ... and two genuinely nice guys that you hope will fly you somewhere and you get the chance to shake their hand at the end of the flight ... Thank you !
Thank you, Paul for giving us such a wonderful insight to your life as a pilot. It really gives me motivation to become a pilot when when I see the beautiful experiences you have (besides the fact that I love flying)! I took my discovery flight yesterday and I loved every second of it! Thanks for inspiring me and many others to become pilots.
Filmed you from inside the LHR Cathay T3 lounge on Friday taking off from 27R. Have followed you on RU-vid for a while, fun to see your takeoff roll in real life. Keep up the videos. Lovely, positive, insight to life as a pilot.
I will never miss the pandemic. I was blessed (Ramp agent for a major US Carrier) that I didnt have to take a furlough. But I just remember how quiet the ramp was at times (and I work in SEA) I remember getting excited for 40 bags, or 50 bags on an A321 then the 40/50 finally turned to 70/80 then 90/100 then bam most of our guys were coming back and we were 120-130 bags. Now with the boats back we are happy when its 120 bags (most flighfs 150-180) thank you pax for coming back
One of the best vidz - As allways, if flying over Greenland, feel free to give us a shout at Nuuk Information. We are the ANSP for BGGL FIR, even though its for flights below FL195, we love to chat with you guys flying high above us. Just ask for Junior, and if im not on the radio, my collegues will get me if im on duty. Freqs 121,300 if in the south, or 120,300 if over the northern part.
Being a pilot is so very rewarding and many who are working through their journey using mainly creativity and learning how to live as cheaply as possible. I started my journey when I was in my late 30s and am still doing my main career. Flight lessons are crazy expensive, solo time as a rental is also crazy expensive but its worth it. $200/hr for the plane, plus $60/hr for the CFI.
Next year I'll try the ENAC exam to have the luck to attend to the all-paid public airline pilot training here in France. Will be tough yet I'm still fighting more than ever and this thanks to you and people like Chris. You're giving hope to thousands of teens worldwide like me and you gather us around aviation, hope and all the passion we share for this wonderful industry. So thanks for the video and the talk with Chris, it was amazing and just continue to make us dream cap :)
Paul, my second comment on this vid. Sadly, Ted Lasso's not available here in EU where I am. Because you mentioned this series, I DL'd it and watched S1 thru 3 in two days. I LOVED IT! Great suggestion! Thanx.
One more thing I forgot to add. You as a person are so inspirational. You have the ability to motivate people. I love what you said. " Being the best version of yourself" Grest piece of advice. And just as you are proud of us, we too are proud of you, who you are. Stay the way you are! And you are so right; BELIEVE!!
Hey, Paul. Been following you for a while. I really appreciated what "Captain Chis" said in London. "Everything is possible" Very encouraging. Thank you, brother. In Pursuit of PPL. Currently, studying for FAA written test.
I really enjoy your channel. I am a FO on A320 and I just got my green card and moving to the US in a month, super excited. Cool layover. Thanks for the cool content.
This may have been my favorite episode yet you are always inspiring positive and showing me something new. We have been fortunate to travel most of my life and living here in California it's a very quick non-stop trip to hawaii. If we need to get away for 5 to 7 days we often pop over and visit friends. It is great fun at this stage of my life to be able to take my grandkids places we first saw as kids ourselves. I am thankful, I am grateful, and I believe❤
Great vlog. Really enjoyed listening to you and Captain Chris. Richmond is a great place to visit. Started watching Ted Lasso as a friend’s daughter was in an episode. Great show. Safe travels !
Paul, your vids are awesome. They are an inspiration to my 12yr old who wants to fly. As en ex Air Force ATC'er all I have is a PPL but he wants to go full ATPL/CPL...not sure which is best for the long-haul (no pun intended) here in Europe. Also, you have such a gentle spirit that is commendable and your family values separate you from the chaotic in the world today. Keep up the inspirational, motivational and interesting vids.
Best video ever thank you. Why don't you do a you tube pilot get together with 74 gear and mentor pilot. Just chat about your careers funny things that have happened plus im sure there are other you tube pilots who would join in. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Appreciate the educational content you pump out. I fly EWR/JFK-LHR/LGW mostly and getting into Central London is always an adventure. Road is a nightmare. Piccadilly takes a fortnight. Train is too expensive. Elizabeth Line is the only hope
Great to see you back on Paul and also going to a pub in Richmond that we normally go to after the rugby! Keep up the great work and can’t wait to see you other travels. You head down to somewhere like Heaver Castle!,,
Whatever you do, just fly the plane. Maps, radios, routes... none of that matters if you're ignoring what the plane is _actually_ doing... and *never* leave the cockpit solo'd.
