@@michellelafaille1678 He and Adam are different Matt is great and amazing in his songs you can't put adam in matt's song and expect it to be good same goes for matt
Adam gontier left because the music just wasn't real to him anymore. Producers wanted another One-X so if you check for writers credits in the CD sleeves, there's a shit ton of writers. Matt walst also had a hand in writing and composition on this and previous albums as well. It music like this that Adam was speaking out against, music that doesn't come from the heart of the artist. Money, money, money
he left because the continue fightings with neil, beside the fact of 3dg remember him the drugs. If the problem was the music he didn't make Saint Asonia after that. Being honest, i love adam gontier, he was and is an incredible singer (i love matt too) but the case with his left on 3dg its... strange.
@@SoldadoHyliano141 Three Days Grace was always very collaborative in their writing, and I think Adam felt like he couldn't put as much of himself into the music that way. He said the last straw was the band flying out to collaborate with country writers and the like. I'm not sure the band was just concerned with money, but they had one way and one way only of writing a song, and that was collaboratively. Adam evidently wanted a break.
Yeah that's not true to his roots he's a somewhat sensitive person too he doesn't want to be a sell out. People should pay you for your work but that does not mean selling your soul. As the frontman he was probably targeted worst and had the most pressure on him but it is sort of a shame for the other guys who don't want to lose their careers they worked hard too.
Yeah because then you know the fans you get don't care if it's real anymore either. Lots of people can't discern if an artist is a sell out or not and that's weird for them not to have those standards themselves imo. It sounds like he wanted more creative control.
I have to admit i always looked down upon this genre until i experienced hardships in my life and looked for a way to return to my old happy mentality but after going through those times of anger i opened up my mind to this style of music and found three days grace and the heart touching songs written by this strong man who was able to fight through everything he's been through and his songs and lyrics really showed me the way through my hardships. Thank you Adam for opening my mind widely
i was at this concert actually (you can see me and my friend at the left at the beginning), and he sounds so much better when you're actually there compared to when you're listening on this video. either way, you're right, he normally does a LOT better than this, even on videos.
You have no right to call him a "douchebag". He had put all of his heart into this band and he has paid physically and mentally because of it. He has been touring on the road almost constantly for 20 years. I don't blame him for leaving just to spend time with his wife( and soon to be child).
You can tell he's got a cold or something here by the tone of his voice. This guy is a GREAT singer. Check out their acoustic set from a few days either before or after this set, plus his recent national anthem performance. Better yet, their live DVD is flawless.
Give him a break on the voice front, people. He can't always sound perfect. There's probably a good reason why he doesn't sound his best, but we can only speculate on that. He's still got an awesome stage presence and is every bit as enthusiastic as he used to be.
I love Adam. If he want to continue his career alone, good. The problem is that he left the band without advice, ending an old relationship with his friends just with a letter. The rest of the story is in Loudwire, if you want to read it I wouldn't have called docuhebag to my favourite singer without good reasons.
This crowd is a bunch of zombies. When I was at Summerfest years ago they had: Hinder, Hoobastank, 3DG, and Nickelback (When they were good). The crowd couldn't have been more alive
Yeah well people forget how to party and instead of going and all having a good time people want to bully each other and shame those who are enjoying themselves for doing so. It's not just concerts it's society in general cancel culture etc. it's very oppressive and demeaning.
i would be singing the whole time, i would need a whole week to get my voice back ;P but seriously my country is too small in europe, so they won't come. ;(
Totally agree with that. I do not know what was Adam thinking about in that moment. Maybe he was too frightened to say goodbye to his friends. Anyway, I wish the best for him and I wish this won't ever happen again. :')
True...I saw them October 6th and the album came out October 2nd...the crowd sucked during their newer songs. I guess I had just obsessed over the new CD to the point where I knew all the new songs. But come on people, even if you don't know the song, it rocks. WAKE UP!!!
I saw them Jan 2010, was one of the best concerts Ive ever been too, they were even better live 3 rows back on the floor at the Joe, Hes super hot in person too.
Three days grace best live performers, but will not be the same with Gontier's absence. The dude from My Darkest Days is good with his group but he can't hold Adam's "mike" He never will be Adam or sound like Adam does with TDG.... NUFF said!
The definition of high road is the morally proper choice. An example of taking the high road is when someone calls you a name and you just turn and walk away instead of getting into an argument.
Adams defiantly gonna fall, he left TDG (the bands good as dead now w/out a lead vocalist anyway), and his new haircut is shitty... Like, not in a gay way, but back when one-x was released... He looked SOOOO much better
Fuck this crowd...really...If i was there i´ll go crazy..i live in the country, they probably never visit so....Love Three Days Grace...The best and the only one band in the world fo me! Love u TDG! :)
Adam's voice isn't very strong live. I'm a huge TDG fan but I went to see them and he's shaky. Give the new guy a chance, at least with transit of venus and future albums.
Dont leave adam pleaseeeeee im fuking begging imagine me on my knees dont leave ur band with the new gay lead singer matt walst or someshit like that pleaseeeee
My thoughts on Three Days Grace and Adam Gontier... if not for Gontier's amazing voice, they would be no where. if not for the band, Gontier wouldn't be any where. So why must they be seperated? they should come up with a new name, and put Three days grace in the history books. I hate to have to say this, but it's true. it's shameful to try and replace a one of a kind voice.
No. Adam will not be okay on his own. I love TDG and Adam, but, they're a band. TDG will fall on their faces, and Adam will lose so much support. Unfortunately, that's what I think is going to happen.
All this he left cos they wanted money bullshit has to stop, it's not true. He left because of health issues and he'd been with them for the best part of 20 years and wanted to move on. If he was pissed at them for wanting money, he would have just walked off, not stayed to do a tonne of shows and THEN leave
He left because for him the band only played for money and writes music for the same thing, and he wanted to write songs that come out from his heart, that really touch people, I don't care about the reason he left, I'm still fan of both 3DG and Adam Gontier because they're extremely talented and I know Adam will make a great job as a solo artist
Search "Loudwire" it will come up with a web adress, click it and search "Adam Gontier Criticizes Musical Direction of Three Days Grace, Plans to Release Health Records"
no he did not.. TDG posted that on the site as am appologize that hes not able to be out on stage for the shows later on. he wants to go on follow his hearts thats what he posted, because he wants to get rid of that life.
I know, i read it. I do find it kind of shady to end a relationship/friendship that is older then me by a letter, but he has his reasons, i guarantee it. And I understand why you would call him douchebag but if anyone else was in his shoes i think most would do the same. If I was him i woulda left years ago after all of the drug problems, but he didn't(thank god).
You have to realize that this concert was like right as the new album was just coming out, I mean when you hear a song for the first time it takes a little bit of time to get into it, especially when you don't know the words yet and you don't know what to expect lol
oh my god!!!!they are back and this song is fuckin amazing...kinda reminds me''never too late'' but three days grace are one of the best...fuckin amazing song!!!!!
Personally I think all the touring n stuff had just taken a toll on Adam. I see he's starting to pick up with his solo stuff now tho. Pretty sure he plans on keeping a low key acoustic kind of thing. No more big tours n stuff
