What fantastic scenery, My first visit to Wales, in any form! thank you for taking me along Sandy. and I'll take a "Mom and Pop" eatery over McDonald's anytime. kudos on the pedal repair/replacement. nice when tings fall into place at the right time. again thanks for taking me on another great journey Sandy . es 73 agn OM! Enjoyed that ... some of my riding roads ,some lovely footage. Colin thinking he was on his trials bike when he was bunny hopping over that twig on his tiger..😅
That was surely an amazing ride with amazing scenery. I am glad that Colin didn't get any injury from the little mishap. It looked like everything went very well besides that though so (all in all) a pretty good adventure I would say. Thanks for sharing it all with us Sandy. Have fun and I will see you on the next one.
My brother did the same thing riding through Wales. He selected extremely windy roads and we are on our Triumph Thunderbirds. I’ve got the Commander and my brother has the LT. That was a few hours of tough riding lol 😂 Great video of you all 👍🏻👍🏻
As you said perfect himmy roads. But it’s nice to have the extra capacity to get there. That’s why I’ve always loved 650’s their the best of both worlds.
Great ride, gorgeous scenery and a Chuck wagon too. Poor Colin, least the bike wasn’t to badly damaged and he wasn’t hurt. Thanx for all the beautiful views. Take care and ride safe Cheers Neil
A lovely trip Sandy, the Storey Arms burger van does an excellent all day breakfast roll, a third of a French loaf with everything in it. If a bike is far too heavy for the owner to recover from a simple fall like that then it's obvious that the owner has bought the wrong bike for himself, if he was on his own what then, advise your friend to buy a smaller lighter bike, one that he can handle.
Was thinking that myself, not criticising as can happen to anyone but seemed a weird line through the bend, good job nothing came round corner too whilst they stayed there to repair it
Thank you. Glad to see that Colin get away with so little damage to his bike. We've all been there Colin. Just to make you feel better when The Triumph Tiger Sport came out my mate bought one and we arranged to meet at the cafe after he had collected from the showroom. Literally an hour after he had brought it I arrived at the Cafe car park and there it was laying on its side. We laugh about it now but boy was it heart breaking at the time. Stay safe everyone Ted
A fabulous Rideout..other than Colin's little mishap.. we've all been there, done it just hope he's ok. You were practically on my doorstep! We do have some amazing biking roads which I can only do with pedal power now!
Great trip, fantastic scenery. Loved my trips to Wales and the Brecons in years gone by on 2 wheels or 4, whether for holidays or caving trips. Many happy memories . Great video Sandy. Glad to see no major damage to the Tiger. In the true tradition of Brit bikes of old, easy to fix on the roadside and continue the trip. Stay safe 😷. ATVB from sunny and locked down Malaysia 😷🏕🇲🇾
Thank you for the great ride. I've never been to Wales but after seeing this and several other riding videos, it is certainly on my list . Beautiful country , Cheers, Dan. 👍🏍🇨🇦
Cracking stuff lads. I've only ever been Brecon in the depths of winter and never realised it was soo beautiful. I'm glad you managed to get the bike back on the road with no issues. Top job :)
Happy days, been up that way many times had a pint or two in the story arms before it was an outdoor centre/youth hostel. Lots of SAS hopefuls doing the fan dance practice up there and if your super lucky you might catch the actual select test taking place. Seen that a few times up Brecon 🇬🇧👍
Some nice scenery there. I'm lucky as I get to look at it every day. I have been up Pen y Fan but I steer clear now as it's too crowded. Shame about Colin busting that peg.
Well done to Kim for saving the day! A good little tip we can all learn from. I hope Colin bought him a pint (or two) for that? Nice looking trip, apart from some of those narrow back lanes... good old sat. nav’s!
Nice to see you riding in my neck of the woods and hills. The whole area is covered by lanes such as you travelled and the countryside is spectacular if you take your time as you saw. Ideal Himalayan terrain as you surmise. Looking forward to your Pen-Y-Fan excursion.
Wales is so stunning, it doesn't seem to matter where you go, it is a glorious landscape. I like Kims quick thinking regarding the foot peg. The weather could not have been any kinder to you...
I've ridden that road past Story Arms a time or two.... That building was the pub.. now an outdoor center....Hope Colin was OK after his little spill.. Great day for a rideout too. ATB Mark
watching videos like this remind me how lucky I am to live where I live. If you haven't been already i hope you try Laugharne and West Wales it's a beautiful trip on the way there!
Great run Sandy - i kow what you mean I once went through Blackpool illuminations on the XV - Pain in the arse stop start, stop start. Odd place to take a tumble that footpeg should not have broken like that faulty casting Maybe? Stay Safe
Great video folks 😎 Allthoug it a litle "wierd" for a Dane to se you drive over a bridge "on the wrong side of the road and in the wrong Lane " 😁 But anyway... i love your humor..and the bacon-burger ha ha Be carefull out there 👍🏍
Amazing. If you’ve never tried it before. Stay on the A470 all the way to North Wales. If you think the Brecon are beautiful wait until you see Snowdonia. The 470 is almost as beautiful as the NC500.
Great to see your back out on the bike mate . Just got a triumph 800 tiger xrt myself to start some adventures. Fist one Sunday over to the Isle of Wight. Would love to ride with you one day Sandy.
Nice ride lads! My mate has the big tiger 1200, unfortunately he came off it in Chepstow the other week, strangely you passed through Chepstow in the video! Lovely bike but he’s still waiting to know if it’s getting written off.
One of my favourite runs up to the Brecon's, I wold have gone up the A40 via the Talyabont Reservoir haha. I need to stop making excuses and get mine out. Thanks for sharing
That would have been a better route for the bigger bikes but the back lanes were lovely Oz. Would have been even better on the Royal Enfield. Just the bike for those slower roads
@@WiltshireMan Get up to the Talybont reservoir, have a brew little walk down the streams, stop at Abergavenny on the way back for a feed great day out. 😀😀😀
I just test rode the 1050 vstrom. But I prefer my bullet now. Great on the little roads where I do 90% of my riding. You feel totally master of smaller bikes. Weight and power not always good. Horses for courses of course. Cringed when I saw that triumph sliding, all been there! Glad he was ok.
Also dropped my V-Strom in a similar fashion trying to U-turn on a steep hill, my tank bag slipped and jammed the handelbars at a critical part of the manuever! I fell on the bar end and cracked a rib. I was so uncomfortable that night - camping in a tent, I had to get home next day
Good one Sandy my triumph speed twin stays stuck in the garage just can’t get out 😰😢all the best to you and your buddies 👌😎 fred yep the old footrest trick had to do that on a mates yam diversion
Should that Colin be allowed a bike, what drugs was he on , I screamed with laughter when I saw him bouncing on it , think you should get him some rubber helmet and extra protective clothing and a police escort, he looks past it ,,blimey gotta keep rewinding that clip it’s so funny 😂 good old Colin cheers shaneweightman
@@junglie Yes, my Ultra Classic is way too big for those roads in Wells. Come to think of it all three of those bikes are a bit large. Have a blessed day.
Looks like a great ride out without going at crazy speeds. BUT do you need big heavy bikes to do it?. I have had big heavy bikes all my life, but have now downsized to a 650 ( Versys ). At 73 I find that I can still have all the fun possible, but without the constant battle of heavy bikes against my old knackered body. Enjoy your biking lads.
@@WiltshireMan That’s good ! With all this Covid hysteria affecting careers and life … well things like “friends” “banter” and motorcycle trips seem even more valuable. Best wishes to all of you for more playful chat and long rides …
Been caught out with Tom Tom's twisty routes before, even when putting in no single track! Now use a combination of Tom, Google maps and it's street view. Bit more work but makes the routes more manageable.
Well, I really enjoyed that, but, I think had you have been doing the ride as a solo rider and you being Sandy and one of my top youtubers, you certainly would have put more content into it. That's the sole reason I'm a solo rider 100% as I can do and please myself where I stop and do as I please and at ones own pace. I fully understand the ride with friends but the content isn't there, still most enjoyable to watch though 👍🏻
Not wishing to insult but this is like watching "last of the summer wine" ! Three old Toggs having fun and yes I am also an old togg watching three old Toggs how sad is that ?
I like the style of glasses your both wearing are they reactor lights or full sunglasses Could send the make on this page by any chance Thanks in advance
