Yup, that's a great idea. Plenty room for design tweaks, I'm thinking clay around the rocks too and have the tray about twice as high. I'll just have to keep eating pizza til it's perfected 😂

It might help making a second fire on the side that is all burned down so there are some nice coals to put on top of the pan. If you could manage to get a heavier piece of metal that can hold more heat you could pre heat it in the second fire. I had pizza in England and Ireland and I gotta say it sucked so bad. Where I live in the US there are like 3 of the top 20 pizza restaurants in the country less than 10 minutes from me. Maybe I am just too used to really good pizza. Your pizza looked to come out really good.
