I really like the aesthetics of the pedal- and it sounds great. I can't use it because I'm using a modeler- well, I could but there wouldn't be much sense in it. That said, if I still had an analogue rig, I'd be all over it. I'm on the verge of grabbing a UAFX Lion 68- my Headrush does a good Plexi, but not as good as the Lion 68. Plus, I'm getting out of the cover band thing and just doing original stuff now so- I need to find my own sound and stop trying to always emulate something I've heard. I think I would come a lot closer to that with a rig where I can still utilize analogue pedals and build my own board instead of having a modeler like the Headrush.

I’ve been using analogue pedals with an amp sim of some sort, like the HX Stomp or ToneX Pedal for a while now and it works great! I basically wanted to keep my analogue pedalboard and just replace the real amp with a modelled/captured amp and I was surprised how well it works! Like everything it’s a trial and error thing…some pedals will sound great others will sound a bit weird…but all up I am really happy with how it works and I find that the analogue pedals give the amp sim an even more realistic feel and sound!

I have a Stagg 60 GA R. Good on the clean channel but the distortion channel is terrible, sounds like the first solid state practice amps. So it's a life of pedals for me, using a nux Plexi Crunch I get a great sound, ordered a rat clone, and waiting for some adapter so I can use my Blackstar id core 10 into the Stagg.

Sorry to open with the ridiculous, but I would love to hear this after a muff circuit: the normal channel might be very useful to tweak the lows.

It is an excellent sounding unit I bought one. . However it is handwired using point to point wiring not even a hole thru tech used by even 99% of the best handmades. Mine died. My tech repaired it but said it needs to be babied. Mine was on a board in a switcher's loop and left on one setting. The only thing that touched it was a bit of dust. In short do not gig with it. It does however sound amazing.
