Deleted from the Australian/NZ and Japanese dvd releases of this film, here is the 9 minute 'Terrone' Dracula scene from this hilarious Italian film - At long last WITH English subtitles!
The scene is basically a comic take on the regional prejudices and bigoted views Northern Italians have against their Southern cousins. In Italy, Northerners call southerners 'Terrone' - a dialect word meaning 'people of the earth' or 'peasants'.
Its a funny scene and works as a dream/nightmare sequence 55mins 20 seconds into the film. I can only guess that it was cut because the distributors didn't think the subtext in the scene would be understood by audiences?
I copied the scene from the Italian film and have done my best to Subtitle the dialogue in English as accurately as possible without losing too much of the original Italian word play and dialects.
Uploaded out of respect for the Film and its English speaking audience, who so far have been unable to enjoy this classic piece of Italian cinema in its entirety. Enjoy.
