I was 11 years old and we lived in Middletown so we evacuated of course and went to my grandmothers house in Perry County. Seems like yesterday

ha ha ha....my family is from there, and my mom brought us from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg to be by my aunt who still lived there, I remember we were the only ones going to Harrisburg on the turnpike and the other side of the turnpike was jammed....we were the only car going, and then of course the national gaurd was passing us...

Bunch of old cars and no gps NO INTERNET! that must have sucked... Probably got better info though then they would have now with may more misinfo all over the internet... Would have loved to have heard the late night reaction to this...

Very True. Throughout the years it has been proven that this kind of system is not safe. History is there: Chernobyl, which was the worst case. This one and One in Asia. Definitely, it's time to look for alternatives. Nuclear plants uses chemicals which is letal. We surely don't need another accident. Lives are at stake.
