As a brand new player, this looks amazing. The art is on point, the audio from the trailer, the look of the new heroes, it just looks so COOL. This looks like the perfect time to be getting into FAB.

Thematically, I would like Chi to be a persistent resource that stays throughout rounds, as chi is something that is stored in the bodies of these mystic arts practitioner. something that you can acquire via pitching regular resource or card effects.

The aesthetics look fantastic for this set. Such a different tone from heavy Hitters, and perhaps even more interesting. The mysticism fits perfectly with what we expected, and I love how all the heroes look, which is probably a first for me. That kit with the 3 blitz decks + playmat is an awesome product too, and I hope the decks aren't focused around UPF. That playmat is so pretty I might pick the kit up just for that tbh. Legend Story Studios has been kicking it out of the park.

Super excited for the set! A little disappointed in the bundling of blitz decks. $70 is a bit outside my price range and being able to pick up a blitz deck for friends who were excited by a particular hero was nice. Hope it works out better for games stores as I see a lot of blitz decks stuck on shelves in my LGS.

Personal prediction for chi is that it'll be created from floating resources at the end of turn, and persist between turns? It both fits with it being something you have to train and be patient to acquire, and works with all of the heroes abilities - Ninja isn't a stranger to floating resources (pitch a blue to kodachis on an off turn, have one floating?), Nuu and assassin can comfortably float resources both by using daggers, or just by using one cost attacks? Meanwhile illusionist theoretically struggles - you wanna run blues for the aura weapons, but Iris requires a blue pitch to use! But now, your first spectral shield attack costs one less, meaning you can float a resource off of it!

Well the fact that you have to save the chi in your opponents turn and HAS TO BE PITCHED (so arsenal is no option here) makes it probably a bit like the angels where using chi as a ressource also gives you an effect at the time AND you also put it in your soul (so not usable often as you mentioned). I think just those instants are not enoght value for such effects. It demmants a lot bigger hands what also leads to no blocks what leads to loosing in flesh and blood if it's not at least outvalues the trade. Those effects just don't seems to outvalue allone to me at least.

Looks cool, but definitely not my favorite classes. Also, MRSP considerably increased. The kit with the decks and playmat is an awesome format. Hope they keep it forever

The new Chi looks cool, but I could see it being a problem for colorblind people. They both have the same symbols, and have similar brightness. Perhaps something like Magic's mana symbols can be used to differentiate them.

I’m not fan of not being able to get single blitz decks. New players aren’t gonna want to buy 3 for $90 CAD to start so will be more likely to buy other sets blitz decks. Hopefully individual become an option too same as in Japan.

True. But what if their favourite hero is one from Mystveil. Just seems kinda unfriendly for new players which is out of character for LSS. “Well you can’t just buy this one so buy this other one that’s kinda like the one you want but different. “ could make for a bad first impression.

The new Assassin could banish Teklo Core and play it or banish blue Dustup, or banish Voltic Bolt and deal 3 arcane damage or banish Thunder Quake and attack for 8😊🤟

Obviously Teklo Core can’t block. You must not play mech characters because obviously blue things go into banish when you boost. Dragons also obviously can’t attack when you have them. Dust up would be pretty bad.

@@nathanrhoades6504 why would you block, you can use Nuu's ability in your own turn and if you banish your opponents Teklo Core, you can play it, right? But yes, you would only use the ashwings ab, you cant attack with it.

@@boskarvil1570 the first ability banishes what actions blocks stealth. The second ability off the top of deck. OG dash can start with core in play so instant can’t hit it. New dash knows what you might hit and stops you when you are about to succeed but lets you whiff when you aren’t. Technically boost could self banish it but they would probably just play the item so not really. You only need 1 ab vs Dromai and your equipment has it. You aren’t going to just take the damage until you get a dragon and if you did they would don1 damage and kill it. Dromai doesn’t struggle with removing opposing 1 hp summons.
