A short series of 24 episodes about the sannin would be great. We didn't really get to see them fight together properly. It would be great for Hiruzen Sarutobi as well.
Make a whole series about naruto before naruto and have it end with the nine tailed fox attack since it was only shown in filler. you can impliment episodes on kakashi's dad and seeing him fight. more on the third great war and hiruzens feats even just him in that war would be interesting amd thats good for atleast 3-4 seasons. call it Naruto: generations

Its much needed especially givin the fact that The Sannin were barely elaborated upon or we never even seen how powerful they could really be, especially in their prime... all of their fights were scrubbed, either by being nerfed or not taking the fight too seriously until almost death. Its honestly not okay
Orochimaru is definitely my favorite because he is the most nuanced. The heavy implication that his obsession with power and immortality came from seeing Tsunade torn apart over the deaths of Dan and Nawaki and wanted to help her initially until everyone turned on him. I like those "pragmatic to the point of complete amorality" characters.
Tomas Del Campo wut lol. he masters sennin jutsu, perfects numerous variants of techniques - mind you, rasenshuriken may have been an idea that was passed to him, naruto was the only one capable of developing and perfecting it

My favorite sannin is Jiraiya, why? simple. I relate to him being a pervert, helping others & meeting other people. And he somehow reminds me of Master Roshi
itsNIVEKbruh Mine is definetely Jiraiya (he is my favourite character in Naruto besides Naruto). I really like Orochimaru because his motives were always understandable and normal to me and I really enjoyed watching him fight (We never really saw him fight with all of his jutsu. Only fight that comes close to that is vs Sarutobi and he didn't really fought him. He just summoned 2 kage and tried to kill him with one attack.) In fact his fight with Naruto when he is sick is one of my favourite fights in all Naruto. So my favourite sannin would be Jiraiya>Orochimaru>Tsunade.
Tsunade was always my favorite, I was so sad that we never really got to see her fight again (after the deadlock battle). The kage battle was cool but since it was 5 v 1 it was really just a repeat of abilities she used in the past. Jiraiya and Orochimaru are both awesome and got a lot of drawn out fight scenes, I would have loved it if Tsunade got the same. If the current series (Boruto) is going to shove flashbacks down our throats just like Naruto the least they can do is make them interesting flashbacks we haven't seen like some of these legendary characters out on missions or whatever and tie it in to the current plot.
Immortalfrom90 the three sannins when they were under sarutobi all of them were useful. but in team 7 when they were young Sakura was useless and stupid so you can't compare the three sannins and team seven. If it we team 7 three sannins and nagato, konan and that orange haired guy it would be like this three sannins konan, nagato,and the orange haired guy then team 7

The sword that sealed Orochimaru in the folk story would have been the plot device that Kishimoto used when Itachi used the Sword of Totsuka to seal up Orochimaru for good. Rikki Matsu sounds more like Sasuke, since he uses hawk summons and calls his group "Taka"

my favourite sannin was, is and will for ever be orochimaru. he is the one that got me into the show. i like him because he is so strong and stubborn that in a way he forces his enemis to get stronger if they ever want to defeat him. furthermore, he isn t just like the bad guy who wants to take control of everything and will destroy everyone on his way, even though that is what he claims. he takes more pleasure in observing a scene than playing into one. as a result, he could spare a ninja s life if he thinks letting him live could make things interesting while letting his spared victim know, thus manipulating him in a way only a snake could think of. moreover, he has an interesting position when it comes to truth : i can t remember a single scene in which he lies. he always tells the truth or keeps his mouth shut and therefore i find it funny that even if he is the bad guy, everybody trusts him. for ex,(little spoiler )when sasuke didn t know what the truth was about his clan, the village, he summoned orochimaru to get the truth. after everything orochimaru did to him, orochimaru is in the end the only one he can trust and rely on. that is so twisted and i like it for that!
I believe that if Jiraiya, Tsunade and Sarutobi had been close to Orochimaru or if he had met his soul mate and formed a family, he would not have become a "negative character". I really appreciate Orochimaru, I want to be his wife > /// < ♡ o ♡
I feel so sad that Jiraiya died because I know if he lived he and Tsunade would start dating and later marry each other. They would have had a son or daughter and basically have lived a happy ending life.

Kuri Chan well tsunade could have gained the slug sage mode. Its the reason why people think hashirama got his sage under the slugs. I think tsunades is in a disadvantage as she stopped being a shinobi for a long time thus doesnt train or tried to improve herself.
Khalil Lockett That...makes a lot more sense. Everyone has made the argument that his sage mode was that of the slugs but we never seen him summon slugs, etc. Now he is the paragon of wood release, like Tobirama can summon lakes out of nowhere Hashi could resurrect entire forests. Only Tsunade & Sakura share a relationship with the slugs but it’s a shame no one ever established a relationship with the Slug Sage itself.

7:45 Orochimarus actual motive was to know be the strongest, he had almost achieved it but required visual prowess of the highest quality to do so. Rinnegans were not awakened naturally by any other characters and hence he chased Sasuke and Itachis body. He had access to sharingan, but without an Uchiha body it would be pretty wack (E. G. KAKASHI)
I think the bird magic guy could have been sauske since he ultimately defeated orochimaru. Also he had wings from the curse mark as well as the Chidori which means thousand birds
I agree on everything except on the denial of Orochimaru's Hokage application. Orochimaru was actually considered and was even praised by Danzo. However, the third hokage thought Orochimaru was incapable so he used the strongest jutsu in the series (a.k.a. talk no jutsu) to convince everyone that it's a bad idea to consider Orochimaru.

Awesome video on the Sannin! I like all of the Sannin, but Orochimaru is my favorite. One of the main reasons is that he actually seems to have turned for the better after being resurrected from Anko's Cursed Seal by Sasuke and having come to realize the error of his ways after Kabuto failed.
I think Shippuden Oro was shit. They fucking neutered the dude. In the original Naruto, he was a calculating, sinister, mad-scientist badass. Part II after he came back to fucking life, he was just a sheepish little sidekick when he should have had more power than ever before given that he took himself out of Kabuto (who knew things such as sage mode etc) and got his arms back. But no, he just becomes irrelevant.

I was wondering if you could do a video on a what ifs- in Naruto. such as what if sasuke never left konoha what if jiraiya and shisui were reanimated what if Naruto never became Hokage.
My absolute favorite Sannin is Orochimaru :3 I don't know why but it to me just seems like he became who he was as an adult as a result of losing his clan at such a young age and not having a real chance to have parents or the love needed to mold his personality in the right direction. And as a general result, you got the obsessively experimenting, must have all the jutsu in the world and then some, I'm a kill my Sensei because I wasn't named Hokage and try to destroy the Village... misunderstood villain snake. But I love him anyway
tsunade is very underated.. she has this ultra healing jutsu and super monster strength (stronger than the Raikage) which is very crucial in battle.. without her the 4 other kage would have died in their battle w/ Madara.. so i'll go with Tsunade as the best Sannin
Jariya chose the best lifestyle. Going around exploring the world and writing about it. Imagine the first storyteller ever. Living in a scary world. We live in a world where we are protected from evil. Whether it's animals, plagues or humans. We live in a safer environment. Back in the beginning it must have been scary for the young and those weak of mind. storytellers always found a way to ease people's minds and thoughts.

Hell yea! Also you mentioned Rikimotsu, it sounds like he was embodied by Sasuke who is the 'bird' in that he gains wings when he goes curse seal mode, and he has the hawk summoning contract (and he 'kills' Orochimaru) Also Orochimaru for the win lol
Tobi Olasimbo I think orochimaru was always stronger. don't forget orochimaru was a sage himself. he learned and completed his trianing from the white snake sage. that Kabuto finds and trains under too.
Nah orochimaru was a sage. He trained under the white snake sage. People thought that sage was a myth cause it was so hard to find. But orochimaru being the badass he was found him and trained under him. Kabuto explains it when fighting itachi and Sasuke I think.
I do believe that among the sannin, Jiraya was the strongest. One of the argument I defend, is the fact that he is the only one who has been able to master the Sennin mode. Orochimaru took the sage power from Kabuto after being defeated by Itachi and Sasuke, while Tsunade has never been able to awake or master the Sage mode. What do you think ??
I would put them on about equal footing I think. Orochimaru trained under that snake sage thing I think, but his body was too weak to actually do it at that point. Current Orochimaru, with Kabuto's energy + 1st cells and his arms back should theoretically be able to do it, but who knows. That said, Orochimaru has a larger base of jutsu to draw from, so he's all around more versatile, and damn near impossible to kill, so I don't see Jiraiya taking him down.
Jean Yves Ndzana Ndzana In direct combat, Jiraya is probably the deadliest and has the strongest jutsus, but he's also the easiest to kill. Tsunade is extremely difficult to bring down given her massive strength, stamina, and regeneration. And Orochimaru has access to so many techniques that he has escaped death countless times.
To be fair we don't actually know that Tsunade can't use sage mode as it was never explicitly stated (that I am aware of), we just haven't seen her use it. I wish that instead of all the pointless fillers, they would have included more back story and character development for all of the other characters especially the Sannin. Getting to see some of these legendary battles from the past would have been awesome.
He never mastered sage mode either. Mastering sage mode means you take on no factual features like how Naruto didn't. Orochimaru didn't really get sage mode. The same with Tsunade.
